This says the LAPD have seized the security video. So, that is good news. Let’s hope, as you say, that the pertinent time period is still intact.

Also, on the video on this page, the CBS reporter Stacey Butler says, regarding the boyfriend:
“Also new, Heidi’s friend says she had a new boyfriend in the Bay Area, NS, who works as a VP for a charity created by FB founder MZ . Friends say Heidi texted him before her disappearance that she was scared, and wished that he was with her.”
Detectives Seize Security Video In Search For Woman Missing For Two Weeks, Heidi Plank

First we have heard she was “scared”. Of what?
Couldn't get the video to play for me. It's on youtube though for anyone else who can't view it on the website.

Is there a video in this link? I don't see those words, and the place where a video should be is a white box.

Even though it's been reported as such?
Yes lol
There has been a bit of misinformation on most reporting and RE hashed reporting - I feel like people just made that assumption. The only difference it would make would be if it was that day but after the game. If it was before the game it does not really matter I don’t think right now just IMO

This confuses me. The Daily Mail article says a couple in the apartment looked after Seven for a week after they were unable to get in touch with the owner.

Yet, JW says he accessed her phone and found messages that were left by the woman who found Seven three hours after HP was last seen. According to his own accounts, LE did a wellness check on the 20th and he went back with DN the next day 10/21 and, my understanding, that's when he found the text, which is five days later.

If he had a number for the person who found the dog, why would he need to go through the microchip company to locate the dog? Why not just contact the person who found the dog directly?

It IS confusing. The way I think I understand it. MOO:

JW got her phone (that was found at her house) on 10/21 (the day after she was reported missing). He got it with the intention to be able to talk to friends and family whose numbers he didn’t have.

On 10/25 he started to think about the dog and the microchip. I’m guessing at this point, he didn’t know about the text msg(s) left on HP’s phone (which seems odd, as you’d think he would go through all her texts available to try and gain info as to her whereabouts. But, maybe she had a gazillion texts to go through, idk.)

I’m thinking he found the chip info that the dog was found by someone through his own searching. THEN he thought to examine all the texts and found the msg from the people holding on to the dog at the H+F apts.
MOO

Is that income enough to rent a 1.6m home in LA?

"[JW], a hairdresser, revealed Planck doesn't have a college degree or any accounting licensure but was making good money as a bookkeeper, earning $125,000 a year plus monthly bonuses of up to $1,500 a month."

Heidi Planck's ex-husband claims her boss was concerned about recovering her laptop | Daily Mail Online
she was renting the home and Zillow has the rent estimate at $6,399, plus she has the RR but that could be paid off or given as a gift and her son's school is 10-15k annually depending on if you are an active parishioner, make certain donations and attend weekly church services. Not to mention gas in a RR, utilities, bills, food and all the other living costs especially with a child and dog. After taxes that would put her at a little under 8k a month take home assuming she got the max 1.5k monthly bonus. So there must be some arrangement with rent or other income as that would not be enough to live off of with just that salary and bonuses alone.

Wait! She texted her BF that she was scared but he thought she was ghosting him? MOO
Maybe that's why it turned into an argument? Heidi was scared and wanted her boyfriend to come down, but he couldn't or wouldn't. It seems strange that the boyfriend simply not being able to schedule a visit that weekend would have sparked an actual argument and his assumption that she ghosted him for days over it. Or maybe the "argument" was about something else entirely?

"[JW], who runs a beauty salon to the stars in Beverly Hills, said: “They had been in an argument the week before so he didn't know anything about her disappearance.

“He thought she was just ghosting him. He had no idea.

“He said that they got into an argument because he lives in San Francisco and she wanted him to come down but he couldn’t because he had to work."

Mom 'argued with boyfriend who thought she was ghosting him' when she vanished

Besides the info about how many levels of security the dog would have to pass through to get into the building, one of her friends also stated that she picked Heidi up from that building once but didn't know why Heidi was there.

So that's confirmation that she had at least been there once before.

Friends search for California woman missing for 2 weeks

Yes, to me, this information makes it clear. Heidi went to visit someone at that apartment building on Oct. 17th.

Which means to me, she went there voluntarily and parked her car in the guest parking lot or someone had given her a resident key fob to use.

“One the parking garage needs a remote to get into it and all spaces are assigned. We pay $200 a month for parking and more if you want valet. Guests have to park in a public lot across the street for $20 a night. Two we have to keep a list of approved guests at the concierge’s desk and even then we have to come down to the lobby to escort our guests upstairs. Three nobody can get into the elevator and come upstairs unless they have a resident key fob to swipe for your particular floor.” -HopeFlowerDTLA

So there should be video of her coming into the building and leaving the building. (If she left the building)

If she did not leave the building on her own volition, then her car should be in the guest parking lot.

But of course, if someone did something to Heidi, than they probably also moved her car.

I am comparing it to a hotel and their security. Key/Card/Code to enter the parking garage, to enter the entry from the parking garage to the building, and to enter the elevator, what would be the fourth? Of course one to enter the apartment, so maybe it's actually 3 layers to get to the the hallway....
to get off on the certain floor. maybe residents can only get off on their own floor.

About the dog-
How is it that the dog was reported as found within 3 hours of Heidi leaving the football game?
JW declared that the texts indicated he was already identified on the 28th floor, 3 hours after she left the game, in Downey.
That was on Sunday afternoon, October 17.
He reported that the people found Heidi’s contact info through the microchip.
So, I guess that on a lovely Sunday afternoon the nicest people ever found a Labradoodle wandering the hall in the sky. Must have called Concierge, right, to report and ask if it was reported missing or registered to the 28th floor? With no response or a negative, did they wait to hear which neighbor was missing a dog?
No. They quickly loaded up and went down to the garage to go to emergency Vet or store for scan, on Sunday afternoon. Nice.
Quick as a bunny, because no one was busy at all, they got the scan and texted Heidi’s work phone? Most Chips allow for several numbers. Funny that oh so close JW was not noted. And most often the Chip company is responsible for contacting owners, they don’t just pass Contact info out to strangers with a story about finding a dog.
Then what when no response to the text? Loaded up on dog food. toys. kennel and back to the garage, elevator, 28th floor where they patiently awaited a response for days with the energetic labradoodle?
IMOO
Heidi made a deal with someone to get the dog to her son is the only reasonable explanation. The dog sitters must have not known what they were getting into. Imagine their surprise when they finally heard from JW. MOO MOO MOO

That is NOT the only reasonable explanation. I can think of several other possibilities too but what actually happened is neither always reasonable or predicatable or else this website wouldn't be necessary.
This however is not a theory its a fact: The dog was found about an hour away by people who live on the 28th floor of the building about 3 hours after she was last seen.
I'm fairly certain that they said that the dog had a collar and tag on with the dog's name "Seven" and Heidi's phone number. I say this because they knew the dog's name was Seven and dogs usually wear tags in case they are lost. The problem is Heidi wasn't answering her phone.
They didn't know when Heidi went missing until whenever they found out a week or so later and probably determined the time they found the dog when they realized it was very important to know what time they found this vanished woman's dog. For example, "right before dinner" or something I'd imagine and their Uber eats was dropped off at 6:17PM for all we know (hypothetical example). Thats how I figure out what time something happened in the past because everything we do is on an app/technology now.
They waited at least several days to have the dog's microchip scanned at the suggestion of neighbors. Ex said once he had a bunch of missed calls from "some woman" either the ex's phone or Heidi's phone (home, secondary, or main cell phone I have no idea about which one). I feel like "some woman" may have been the microchip company calling not the people who found the dog.
It's also possible that the ex husband, considering he was looking for lost things, thought to call up the microchip company using the dog's paperwork which Heidi most likely kept somewhere probably not hard to find not exactly like there's personal information and you want that stuff easy to find in case the dog goes missing and you panic.
Either way these are pretty solid facts that the dog was found on the 28th floor and not anywhere else by the people who found it. They also had it for about a week before making contact somehow threw the microchip. The people who live in that building for the most part are high income individuals but the majority aren't super rich hard partying burn outs however there's a small percentage who are. These people are likely reputable people however that's just the odds. I'm not saying they aren't involved either btw. I'm just saying it's low odds they are and it's low odds that she arranged to have the dog returned to the kid. It was her dog. It's such a joke to say she's in hiding. What if you're wrong?
Are the people who found the dog worth talking to again by the police? Yes.
Have the police talked to them again? Doubtful.
Have they spoken to reporters on camera? No.
What does moo mean btw?

And if the Yelp reviews are to be believed, there may be other reasons why they don't want to just voluntarily offer up their security cameras with no limit on time and date. There are complaints of damage to vehicles, unsafe living conditions, gun incidents, all before HP went missing.

HOPE + FLOWER - 144 Photos & 121 Reviews - Apartments - 1201 S Hope St, Los Angeles, CA - Phone Number
So why haven't the police taken a closer look at the place and what's the explanation for the vidoe footage? Why haven't the police recovered the car using Land Rover's 1 time use stolen vehicle tracker?
Not to be a Nancy Grace about this but is this the new normal in America? You can vanish and have loved ones saying foul play and no one will look for you?

Still trying to catch up so not sure if this has been posted
Heidi Planck's ex-husband claims her boss wanted her laptop

Wayne said he suspects foul play is involved in his ex-wife's disappearance and believes that her job at the investment firm is somehow connected.

Planck works as a financial controller, overseeing all employees involved in the accounting process at Camden Capital Partners, where Sugarman is a managing partner who is currently under investigation for a $43million fraud scheme.

@truthobsession. MOO means My Opinion Only or My Own Opinion. I usually use JMO, which means Just My Opinion. I am pretty sure that somewhere on WS homepage is a link to commonly used abbreviations here. HTH (Happy to Help!)

Greetings from Tasmania, Australia.

I may have missed this if posted earlier, but could HP be in Witness Protection, etc until she gives evidence against the employer?

As the son is subject to shared custody she may have unable to take him with her, with the son and ex being kept out of the loop at this stage?

IMO, The Feds wouldn't let LAPD get search warrants and look for her, wasting resources if she was in WP. The Feds would at least clue LAPD in.Moo.

About the dog. I find it extremely hard to believe that if they in fact found this dog IN the building. That would only make a connection. It would make much more sense that if these are nefarious circumstances that the dog was found outside of this complex. JMO

I'm going unto listen to the podcast later. Apparently the dog situation was clarified that he was in fact found on the 28th floor.

Moo at this point.

you will find several LLCs listed with the address of the home she was living in, listed as registered address for the LLC and the mailing address for the LLC.

Probably not odd, but I’m not a bookkeeper so I don’t know.

Totally my own opinion, but I don’t think she rented that home. I think it was a bonus or perk of her job.

This is so confusing to me. How would either J or D not know if it was her personal or business phone? I would imagine they know her number (s) and it wouldn’t be difficult to discern the two. All they had to do was look at this phone they allegedly found and see what its number was. JMO
Very confusing.

Plus-- weren't we originally told that J found the phone ?

But, according to this, it was actually D that found the phone, removed it from Heidi's house and took it to J.

I dont know-- I just don't like the feeling I am getting with all this.
