I wonder why they didn’t use the driveway heating. Or maybe Honey and Barry hadn’t turned it on, so the police left it?
I was thinking perhaps police turned the hydro and gas off in the house ?

Unlikely IMO. In the middle of winter that would be a big problem.

KD said the Sherman children didn’t like the sculptures because they thought they were creepy.

Imagine it it had been a police officer who had went down to the basement with a flashlight and came across those two sculptures, then the sculpture with the female leading the sheep, and then the Shermans.

It’s something out of a horror movie.
Man-O-Man- don't know who wouldn't be freaked out by those art display sculptures. I understand they were gifted to the Sherman's by a friend, but I would have lovingly packaged them up in a box and stored them away. Maybe I don't appreciate Art as I should (?)

I guess at least they seemed to be tucked away in a room that nobody used. I wonder if that was done on purpose. If I lived in that house I would have never gone to the basement. Way too creepy even before anyone died.

Another thought:
Had they a visitor in their guest room since Tuesday? The visitor maybe getting a visitor himself in person of NW?

Honey missed her Charity appointment on Tuesday. "Stuff to be dealt with."
Honey wanted no appointment in her home on Wednesday, but at Apotex instead. (The architects/builders.)
Honey asked for the Hanukkah evening on Friday instead of Thursday. (At daughter's home.)

From Tuesday to Thursday there was no time for events/meetings/dates except the meeting re the new home. And visitors were unwanted for, it seems.

I'd really like to know what was really discussed during that meeting. I wonder if BS was reluctant to agree to some of the more over the top perks Honey wanted at the new house and there was a bit of a discussion that gave hints that funds wouldn't be available.

Maybe to preserve any evidence of footprints in the snow?

There was later testimony from the the architect/builders that said that the meeting went very well for both BS and HS. I can't find that quote, it might be a KD article I cant access, or evidence he uncovered in court. Barry seemed onboard, and never expressed any concerns or seemed upset when leaving the meeting.

Not quite the quote you were thinking of... fwiw rbbm.
Brother vs. sister: Two of Barry and Honey Sherman’s children in a battle for control of the family empire | The Star
''Barry and Honey had a meeting at Apotex to discuss architectural plans the afternoon of the day they would be killed. In police search warrant documents, which record interviews with people who last saw the Shermans alive, one of the architects recalls how Barry, known for strong opinions, was indicating his preference for sliding doors over French doors — a sign to many that it was just an ordinary day.''

Thanks for finding that dotr. In my mind, I remembered that the meeting was fine, and wouldn't have enraged Barry to be so upset that he went home and killed Honey. That was a motive held by some people early on before the architects statements were revealed.

Wonder what HS and the rest of the family thought of this FDA film? rbbm. fwiw, imo.
The Frank D'Angelo Cinematic Universe
''No Depo$it is a slightly less delirious experience, mostly because D’Angelo unexpectedly consigns himself to a supporting role. He does, however, kick things off on a suitably ridiculous note with opening narration about the 2008 financial collapse in which he actually imitates President Obama. The film stars Michael Paré as a devoted family man who loses his home when his bank makes an unfair payment demand. After his family leaves him, he falls under the sway of Michael Madsen and Daniel Baldwin, a pair of gangsters who blame America’s economic woes on Jewish bankers. The second half involves Paré, Madsen and Baldwin’s attempted robbery of a Jewish-run bank, and comes to a bizarrely unpleasant climax when they meet a tough-talking Holocaust survivor (Robert Loggia, with full Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie gusto). These scenes are regularly interrupted by a news broadcast in which D’Angelo’s Next Sports Star co-host Tony Ambrogio interviews psychic Georgina Cannon for no discernible reason. D’Angelo’s social commentary isn’t quite with the zeitgeist (are Jewish people widely blamed for the financial collapse?), but if nothing else, No Depo$it gives Uwe Boll’s Assault on Wall Street serious competition as the best shot-in-Canada financial crash thriller with Eric Roberts.''
It sounds like rubbish, wouldn’t have thought the Shermans would have been too impressed with Americas woes being blamed on Jewish bankers.

The FED raising interest rates back then may have had a bad effect on the economy.

I had a thought this morning, that the meeting at Apotex allowed the killer to potentially slip into the house while it was empty. Is it possible this is more than just a coincidence? We know the meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday at lunch. We don't know why it was switched. Did an insider connected to the killer suggest to Barry that he have the meeting at Apotex Wednesday night?

Possibly this one?

Detectives even asked the architects designing the new Sherman home about infidelity. Joe Brennan, possibly the last person to see the Shermans alive together on the Wednesday evening before they were murdered (a house design meeting at Apotex) also told police he “never sensed any concerns about infidelity.”

At that meeting, the architects recalled how Barry and Honey were getting along well, and that Barry, not normally interested in such matters, was weighing in on his preference for sliding doors in the mansion — not French doors.

One of the architects present said “he also heard Barry making comments about how it was such a large home and why were they making such a large place when he probably only had another 10 or so years left to live.”

It seemed like both of the Shermans were more than willing to cancel just about anything, to have this meeting with the architects, imho. Honey had missed a meeting the day before (Dec 12th when she uncharacteristically failed to send her regrets), possibly and presumably because of the meeting that was scheduled to take place with the architects at noon at her home; Barry had missed one of his bestie's Christmas parties on same day, Dec 12th, also so he could attend the architect meeting at his home at noon; then when that meeting ended up getting changed to the next day, the Wednesday, I believe H&B changed their plans with their daughter Alex to attend a Hanukkah dinner at Alex and Brad's home on the Tues(?), and it was postponed until Fri...... so it seems like it was one of the people who attended the architect's meeting at APO who changed the meeting day/time/location. Who attended the meeting? We know one was Joe Brennan:

According to KD, these people were at the meeting:

Home builders last to see couple alive

The documents appear to bolster a working police theory that the Shermans were likely killed 36 hours before being discovered.

They suggest the last people to see the Shermans alive were a custom home builder, architect and subcontractor who met with the couple around 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, to go over some details of the new $20 million home they planned to build.

I remember walking in from walking my dog and the news was on- Breaking news...There were police cars outside the house. There was a news crew outside reporting and a woman who was an employee of Apotex walked up to the news woman reporting, had flowers in her hands- lifted the police tape to climb underneath. I was shocked to see it happen and no one on scene to stop her. Even the reporter didn't notice. It appeared that said woman was hoping to meet Sherman family inside to offer her condolences and flowers.
do you know how you know it is an employee of Apotex?

I thought the same, but they were not looking for anyone that early.

Wonder when it was turned off, did the perp turn it off, but again I cannot make out any footprints in the snow.

I agree and he was in his office, he would feel complete power and control and be at ease with the conversations.

interesting thought branmuffin. was this the purpose of this "architecture" meeting, I too wonder what was the agenda to be addressed during this 1 hour.

Possibly it was to lower the cost of the new build? But I think the $$ for this house was already accounted for in the "$$ gift" that HS was to receive from BS.

In typical BS fashion, he could have been counting pennies on the additional cost to have French doors, the old home had sliders, keeping in line with the other comment that the home was too big.

French patio doors typically cost more than sliding patio doors, but the cost of either door style can vary greatly depending on the custom options you choose. In fact, Home Advisor estimates the average cost to install any door is between $475 and $1291, which is a fairly wide range.Dec 15, 2016

But weren't they also asked by LE if they wondered about infidelity? How would builders know something like that? Squabbling and arguing in front of the architects and/or builders (if they did engage in that behavior) is not an indicator of infidelity yet they answered that they didn't see any evidence of that.
