Yeah, there’s a tendency to imagine that the unredacted portions of the ITOs contain the full sum of police knowledge, and that’s just not the case.

Does the article say much more than KD’s interview that Dotr posted? I don’t have a subscription to the star. I guess this isn’t related to KD’s trips to court to get things unredacted?

I think KD covers it off very well in his interview. He does mention that these vehicles and what he saw on the video are consistent with his theory of the case, although we don’t know exactly what that is.

Wow, this is huge. My theory has always been a team of two deliberately low-tech professional hit men, but I'm shocked at the apparent indiscretion, particularly given the well-to-do neighborhood and the high likelihood of security cameras.

One of my more far-fetched sub-theories was based on KD's insistence that the person/s who benefited from the crime were at the house that night. Specifically, I wondered if someone familiar with the house and the family was there before the Shermans arrived home so that they could take cash from the house. Honey Sherman's family fled the Nazis and Barry's family left Russia to escape pogroms, so IMO it's not hard to believe that they might keep a lot of emergency cash on hand. A person who knew how to access that cash could make an virtually untraceable payment to a hit man. Personally I was never convinced that the beneficiary/commissioner of the killing contract was there in person, but this changes my mind.

Four! Four dudes. Is there any confirmation of how many stayed behind?

Did the killer plan to murder HS only? Or to position only her at the railing? I can't follow a possible thought by the killer to put a body as an unnecessary obstacle, bound to the pool railing, when I'm planning to murder the second person, who also had to be placed at the railing. Or was the killer's thought to have them placed exactly in this position: HS to the left and BS to the right (seen from the entrance door)? Why - if that played a role?

I do not subscribe and have not seen or read these articles. From the snapshots of info;

This raises a number of questions for me, with information we believe is fact,

How does the night walker video fit in with this information. Was it at the same time that they were in camera view close to the Sherman’s.

Why Park in neighbour driveway? Understanding LE mentioned possible that they were watched for weeks before the murders, the neighbour home could be vacant, but why In direct line of a camera? If you studied the area why would you park and run around in line with a camera.

They are just nearby before the crime, like dozens of other people. The police have had the entire video for years; the video is new to KD but not to the TPS.

I lean toward this explanation: the killer planned to kill Honey and had her body in place, ineptly staged as a suicide, when Barry came home and the killer panicked.

The police can lie to the public if they believe it will help the investigation, I wouldn't take anything they say as truth, also, most of the Canadian police forces and the RCMP are notorious for refusing to give statements, updates, etc to the press and public.

My opinion only but I wouldn't be shocked if these individuals had something to do with the murders

If the people had been casing this house they would have seen a dark house with only a light over the garage door. They would have noticed no activity and no security cameras.

Cameras across the street may have been noticed but they may have assumed they only showed that home’s driveway and property, maybe part of the road.

They would have been looking for tire tracks or footprints in the snow. All these things indicate an unoccupied house.

So they park next to the Sherman’s’ instead of on the road as cars travelling on the road could have dash cams that could pick up their plates easier.

I guess the next thing is, did the cops notice footprints going between the Sherman home and the neighbour’s.
