http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news...more-burglary-related-charges/article1550700/

RW has been charged with an additional 82 burglary-related offences - from breaks in in Ottawa, Belleville and Tweed. He has a court appearance today where he is expected to appear in person....wonder if he is about to plead guilty to some of these charges.

It's no wonder he wants to commit suicide, looks like he's about to spend the remainder of his life behind bars - that's just MOO.

I started a thread regarding Russ Williams so I hope that is ok with everyone and the mods. It is in the crime in the news section. Not all crimes Russ commited have to do with Jessica LLoyd so that is my reasoning. If I am being too pushy they will merge.

Woudn't it be a wonderful feeling to be shocked that there are so many charges. I wish that I could say that I was surprised, but it's more like a feeling of dread, with a nagging feeling about what will be discovered next.

Thank you for the new thread. It's needed! Please post the link here.

Speaking of overlap between cases, I see new charges in Belleville's jurisdiction. I really wonder now why a subpoena was issued for Deborah Rashotte as a witness in a "violent assault" case, information that became public knowledge only this week. Deborah had family in Tweed and Belleville, and relatives who owned businesses in both places. These businesses interacted with CFB Trenton.

I also learned this week that buses from CFB Petawawa regularly stop at Tim Hortons in Tweed before heading to CFB Trenton to board planes for missions for overseas missions. I assume this was also the staging area when troops shipped out to the U.S. early this year for training prior to heading overseas.

Legal beagles, I have some questions. What happens now, if RW is linked to other cases involving crimes ranging from attempted B&Es to murder? Could the current process involve pleading guilty to the existing charges in exchange for having all future charges dropped? As we saw in the missing women cases in Vancouver, only certain cases went to court. However, this leaves the families of the victims out in the cold. Families of victims need to experience justice in their eyes, even though the maximum sentence for all crimes collectively would be life in prison without chance of parole for 25 years. Families need to see that their loved ones are not written off by the justice system, no matter how much the accused wants to get it over with.

P.S. From this: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news...o-plead-guilty-to-all-charges/article1551083/

"More than half the charges – 46 – involved unlawful entry to homes in Tweed, where Col. Williams lived during the week in a lakeside cottage after assuming command of the Trenton air base last July.

They comprise 36 counts of break, enter and theft; seven counts of break, enter and theft with intent to commit an indictable offence; and three counts of attempted break-and-enter."

That's an awful lot of B&Es for such a small place.

"Thirty-two charges involved burglaries in Ottawa, all within the residential Fallingbrook area."

And they moved into the Fallingbrook home how many months ago? The end of December, 2009?

"After the colonel’s arrest, three days after a Feb. 8 spot check at a Belleville police roadblock, dozens of items were allegedly found in the garage of the Westboro-area Ottawa home Col. Williams shared with his wife."

When was that subpoena for Deborah Rashotte to appear as a witness in a "violent assault" case issued? Sometime on or about February 11, 2010? Why the Belleville police for the roadblock?

Not much surprise here-

"Col. Russell Williams appears to have been stalking one of the women he’s accused of killing, according to 82 new charges laid today.

The charges allege that Williams broke into the Brighton home of Cpl. Marie-France Comeau on Nov. 16, 2009 — eight days before he is accused of killing her. Comeau worked at CFB Trenton, the base run by Wiliams.

Williams is also accused of stealing items belonging to Comeau during the break-in."

RW and PB sound more and more like they were cut from the same cloth....wait a minute, RW's parents were the "swinger" type....did they know PB parents???? LOL, anything is possible.

PB's mom did have an affair, which resulted in "Paul" being born...

You have an affair with the guy you first fell in love with and have an illegitimate child you name "Paul".

This is quite shocking! He allegedly went two or three times to some homes, breaking in before murders/sexual assaults and after sexual assaults. In a September sexual assault in Tweed, he is alleged to have returned the next night, and then made a third trip.

Let's see, 36 B&Es in Tweed, and this:

"Twenty of the homes Williams is alleged to have broken into are in Tweed, and many of those within a short walk from Williams’s cottage on Cosy Cove Lane."

So, that means repeated break-ins in some homes.

And Deborah Rashotte apparently told family someone was stalking her.

ETA: Further thoughts. There's a laundromat just a few blocks away from RW and MEH's house on Edison in Ottawa:

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&sour...0cSrIhgiZiqSUlkRQdb41Q&cbp=12,240.12,,0,10.03

If a person were so inclined, it seems less risky to steal lingerie from a dryer or laundry basket than going to all the bother of a B&E. If those 32 burglaries in Fallingbrook took place in the approximately six weeks in which RW lived on Edison, that's a busy schedule. Considering that he apparently spent weekends in Ottawa, and that sometimes his wife travelled to Tweed for weekends, how did he manage to find the time? And wouldn't extended absences from home on weekends be noticed?

From the alleged patterns of sexual assaults and break-ins in Tweed, it seems the break-ins were scouting missions for more serious crimes, rather than being strictly about lingerie.

And from the bizarre items taken from Larry Jones' garage during a break-in, was any DNA evidence planted in the homes which RW allegedly burgled? Wondering if this will trigger some wrongful conviction cases.

JMO, this has me believing that he was caught red handed while inside the homes (JL and MFC)for a lingerie break in, therefore he felt that he had to murder JL and MFC as they would have been able to id him.

"The new charges also accuse Williams of twice returning to the home of a second victim after he allegedly confined and sexually assaulted her on Sept. 17, 2009. He allegedly returned to the woman’s house the next night to steal personal items, and broke into the home again to steal some more on Sept. 22."

Wow. I can't believe this! Wouldn't the police have been staking out the area???

This really freaks me out! He was NOT following a pattern here. If he had 500 pairs of lingerie in his house, then they may have been taken AFTER he committed a sexual assault on a victim. I'm very worried that he will not admit to all of his crimes and will keep some to himself, just like how he kept those panties secretly stored away in his home. This is very disturbing.

The CBC report says most of the Ottawa charges are in Orleans, RW's old neighborhood.
