I hope to God MR did nothing to his son. At this point I do not know. I'm just sitting back and paying attention to LE's actions. Does LE ever tell the public everything they know? No absolutely not. So I guess what I am saying is I don't know what happened to Dylan but I am assuming LE has more than we know so I am going to see what they do. I'm just taking in what we do know and watching LE. It still could be an abduction and I have not ruled that out by any means. If today's search yields nothing then we'll see where LE goes next. We really have nothing else to go on. But if they have more on MR I really don't think they would tell us.

Agree. I'm just saying that they did tell us.
I guess if they told us a hit was in the home it would make people more suspicious of MR but it could still have been an intruder.
We just don't know too much with this case.

The search is starting for DR in Colorado. Can we all take a moment to say a prayer and/or well wishes. It's 22 degrees outside and I think the crews could use all the warmth and support possible.

my thanks and prayers go out to all those searching today, please be careful and travel safe. I pray they find some much needed answers to solve Dylans disappearance and to ease his families suffering.

For all we know MR's phone could have pinged at 3am in that area. LE surely has all the phone records by now. It could just be that they are tracing Dylan's steps from where he was last seen alive so that's why they are searching Florida Rd. But IF THEY HAD ANY EVIDENCE THAT DYLAN WAS ABDUCTED TRYING TO GET TO BAYFIELD that's where they would be searching.

Remember that LE is under some obligation to give the public updates but they are under no obligation to tell us everything they have. And they don't...ever. They pick and choose what they release and they do it very carefully.

I have seen so many cases where after we know the truth we say 'hey that's not what LE said' but if you go back and read their statement they just played on words. They did not out and out lie.

I have read every post and one thing I do not understand are posts that say something along the lines of "I believe there was an accident, something happened with MR and Dylan during an arguement.' How can it be an accident if it is during an argument? MR is an adult and if he hurt Dylan during an argument, then it is not considered an accident even if he didn't mean to do it. I'm guessing those posts mean to say as opposed to premeditated??? What am I missing?

Praying for those searchers today especially Ransom. Hoping and praying that they bring Dylan home!

ITA. IIRC, from following other cases and I don't know about Colorado, but most states consider that a death during the commission of child abuse is an intentional act. The thinking is that any adult should know that physical abuse can lead to death and therefore is a premeditated act.

In many states this qualifies for Felony Murder or Murder One charges.

For sure. They are amazing folk. I cant imagine. Especially when they find what they may be looking for.

Yes, it is probable. There is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that Dylan spent the night with Mark.

I think the best approach we as websleuthers can take at this time is to go with that and see what we can come up with. As it is, all the wild speculation and disbelief of MR has not gotten us anywhere in assisting in the search for Dylan. We need to forget about the divorce and all the accusations from that and go with the fact that Dylan spent the night with his father. Maybe we can get somewhere besides reposting the same thing everyday.

If you have anything to back up what you say....that its a fact Dylan made it to dads and spent the night, I'd love to see it.

I was thinking about that too. It could also be the area Dylan's phone pinged before it stopped working. Unless the timeline doesn't fit and I missed it.

There is large doubt in my mind that Dylan even made it to Dad's house. If LE were to confirm it, only then will I have that certainty.

cell phone coverage might be spotty in ?Vallecito but is it spotty in Bayfield which is where MR was when he texted the question?

How would Mom know where Dad was when he sent a text. I think if i was Mom i would assume he was not in an area to receive a call. At least i would hope he was to send a text like that. Speaking to in the moment.

This is a heartfelt and interesting article.
I find it interesting also that the article says that nick and MR haven't had much of a relationship. Nick sounds like a good guy.

MR is a Senior. I can't remember reading anything about MR, Jr. Has he been around since Dylan went missing?

And? The plan was for Dylan to go visit friends. Not the other way around. I don't see why any of his friends would then decide to go visit Dylan, unless Dylan contacted them. And we know Dylan didn't call or text them on Monday.

I know. I was just saying that a scenario which might work ... ... was that if someone turned up unexpectedly to MR's house, and offered Dylan a lift to his friends, then that might explain why he would have grabbed his bag and left without waiting for his dad - IF he knew and trusted this person.

I was just thinking of how his disappearance could have fitted in with what we know - and that if someone knew he'd be home and knew he was wanting to get to a certain location, and if it was someone he knew and trusted, then he would have gone without a struggle. He wouldn't find it odd if the dad or older brother of one of his waiting friends turned up and said "Hey Dylan, everyone's waiting for you. Wanna lift?".

I am not suggesting this happened - I don't even know if there fathers or older brothers on the scene, I'm just trying to think of a situation which could explain why Dylan wasn't home that morning IF his dad is in the clear.

Yes, there is a Mark Jr. which maybe is the oldest brother (guessing). I see him on Dylan's facebook but haven't heard any press about him.

He appears to be in Arizona as well. What I found interesting in the picture and article with Nick is that the caption reads that Elaine and the boys were visiting him 4 years ago, after the divorce. So it appears that she makes the effort to keep all the boys in contact?
