having been in a house fire, the smoke damages everything. You can't get the stench out of clothes or linens, rugs and curtains.

I have had a couple of home owners claims but never for a fire. In my experience (hurricane damages both times) we were paid in about two months.

Just from my experience, I have yet to see a house fire, even a minor one, that resulted in only a little damage. I had a friend at work whose garbage can OUTSIDE the house caught fire. The house didn't even burn but the trash can was up against the house and the fire caused extensive smoke damage because it got up into his attic and sheetrock. I'm sure if he told someone he had a $75k "garbage can fire" they'd think he was nuts, but it was because they had to basically gut the house and replace all the sheetrock and furniture and such.

(as an aside, oh how I dream of a $65k kitchen... I'd even take half that amount .. as long as it didn't involve my house or anything near it burning first)

Dylan has been missing now for some time.
Dads stories seem suspicious.
Mom is suspicious of dad.
First ex-wife wonders about dad.
There was a fire in a home owned by dad. Is the fire suspicious?
Looks like a contractor was not paid for doing work after the fire. Is this suspicious?
I keep coming up with the word suspicious.
And I could keep doing it!

Makes me wonder about the house now. Is it in living condition? Is it being rented out?

Now the rumor is he's involved in insurance fraud?? This along with the rumors of being an alcoholic, having domestic violence, possibly killing his child, a liar, a manipulator, a con artist, a control freak. This is the gift that keeps right on giving.

What I learned from a friend of mine who had extensive work done on his home, is that you pay the contractor, and if he doesn't pay his crew, the crew can come back on the owner who they did the work for and sue him for the work that was done.

Not much new, except they are talking about bloodhounds searching around the lake and not coming up with anything.

I understand because MR claims Dylan made it to his house and claims that Dylan's fishing pole is missing that he could have gone to the lake.

But seriously... it appears they have found nothing to back up any of MR's claims. And its a complete needle in the haystack figuring out where Dylan really is, since it really appears MR has not be truthful. So aggravating and sad for Dylan and his loved ones.

KOAT and 9 News both talked to the task force today. Both saying Dylan last seen/went missing from Mark's house.

LE seems to me to be sure Dylan was last seen by Mark at the house on Monday. Other than that they seem to me (including per the KOAT video) to have readily admitted that they don't know what happened from there.

Per the previous KOAT article, they said abduction is exactly what they think happened. No hints as to whether they think Dylan was abducted from the house or he went out of the house and was abducted.

I promised myself I wasn't going to post in this case any more, and now I've posted twice in one day. Need to do better.

Well I have to say I'm glad they didn't find Dylan's dead body at the lake. It doesn't mean that Mr was lying about the fishing pole and going to the lake. It just means he's not dead in it.

I have been in the contracting business for many years. We preliminary the job and give conditional releases upon billing and unconditional releases upon payment. If we don't get paid we lien the project. And every subcontractor does the same.

I recently had my whole bathroom replaced due to water damage inside a wall ... My insurance company paid for the lot directly - all I had to do was sign forms.

I believe they say last seen/went missing from Mark's house as that's what was reported to them, but since they were after video from 6pm the night until midday monday it would seem that LE are interested in checking facts not stories

That's interesting. So it would seem that there is proof that Dylan was there and was last seen on Monday. And according to the article, Dylan was abducted one way or the other. I wonder where they got that information.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything Mark says checks out to be true by LE standards and that they stop wasting time looking at him and go out and find Dylan and whoever disappeared him.

As far as the house/belongings I heard the same thing from my friend/his family. They basically had to start over even though none of it was actually burned. Scary.

Just to be clear in case anyone's having to skip pages like I do sometimes, no clarification or new info about the kitchen fire, just talking about previous experiences.
