You are entitled to your opinion, but I don't happen to share it. I've known many people over the years who have done something they aren't proud of after having too many at a holiday party. I've also known many who have said or done things out of anger after drinking that they wouldn't normally do. Not all of them drink every day, are always drunk or are even alcoholics. As a matter of fact, even alcoholics that I know don't always drink every day (some do), and a few almost never even get drunk. I've also only seen one statement that says he was "having sex", but that can mean different things to different people - just ask Bill Clinton! MOO
The above is all well and good tho, I'm altogether confused on how it has a dang thing to do with MR's drinking and behaviors..
THE comment of which you quoted makes zero claim of MR being an EVERYDAY DRINKER..so not sure how this even relates to the comment either..
the only thing given was an opinion on MR likely not being JUST AN OCCASSIONAL drinker, but nothing about his being a daily drinking alcoholic whose in the throes of DTs if not having a drink by 3pm<--nothing even remotely similar was stated..
I would dare to say that the majority of us can come up with examples of people we've known or encountered thru life that are mild, occasional, frequent, regular, habitual, or even daily drinkers with an equally wide ranging spectrum of differing demeanors..
so, again not sure on how the former prez sexual endeavors even compare to this situation, AFAIK Clinton has never been known to be volatile and angry..several incidents of which culminated in criminal charges .. I dont see the relevance and certainly no comparisons in any way whatsoever to MR or the case..
but thats all jmo and nada damn thing more.
It was absolutely disgusting, but it wasn't life threatening as was what ER did. And we are talking an act of murder by MR. that is the point I was trying to make. jmo
I disagree that Mark's volatile and violent lashing out, going as far to attempt to assault one of his sons that night(quite possibly Dylan)..but regardless of which minor aged son it was the only reason he failed at it is because he was too drunk to be able to connect the punch he was throwing at his son..to which Dylan retaliated and hit back..
I FIND MR'S VOLATILE AND VIOLENT LASHING OUT IN ANGER, RESENTMENT, AND GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT ELSE TO BE EXTREMELY LIFE THREATENING...in my world he doesn't get cut a "break" for failing to follow thru on assaulting his son due to his level of intoxication being the reason his attempt was failed.....the attempting to swing punches at his son(s) SPEAKS LOUDLY IMO..
That confuses me more than anything. I get erring on the side of caution and not being willing to lay blame at Mark's feet just yet. I do not get trashing Elaine in an attempt to justify Mark's behavior. What is the purpose? Elaine could be any number of horrible things but that doesn't change the fact that she was nowhere around when Dylan disappeared off the face of the Earth.
yet time and again it seems that there is this very real need to "even the playing field" WRT ER and MR in this case..
it'll never be an "even" field, due to the fact that the cut and dry facts and dynamics were ER was hundreds and hundreds of miles away from Dylan when he was "disappeared"..along with the fact that ER had been extremely successful in moving her and her children's lives foward in a positive direction.. a woman completely fulfilled in the multiple facets of her life...as full time, primary parent, as significant other to a man whom she not only was in love with, but also that her boys respect ..with them living together as a family unit and together providing a stable home life...as well as career wise ER had moved forward..<---these all together represent a very positive direction had been successfully chartered by Elaine and her boys..
IMO there are issues at hand that will never make this case a tit for tat of anything even resembling an equal playing field WRT ER and MR..no matter what or how much is thrown at the wall in attempts to somehow "even" an imaginary, none existent score between the two..
all jmo.
