the FMDR page says they had a good turnout tonight for the dinner and silent auction.

What would be the reason why someone, besides a sexual predator, would "hold" Dylan for two months? It seems that JK's plan revolves around the belief that the abductor is not some sicko, that he made a very bad "mistake", that he is simply a sad person.
Can't think of any.
If somebody wants a child to raise, they are not going to kidnap a 13 year old.

sorry if this has already been posted

Elaine said the search continues to be hindered by Dylan's Father. She said he will not speak to her about Dylan's disappearance.

"My gut feeling is that Dylan's dad had something to do or knows something more than he's giving information about," she said. "I wish he would talk to us but he won't do that."

Well that is exactly what I thought and I knew she wasn't having a change of heart on the last interview. Her 'thinking' that Dylan is alive is truly 'wishful thinking' and trying to keep a positive attitude.

Here's my opinion on this. Elaine believes MR had something to do with Dylan's disappearance. I don't know that she necessarily believes that he harmed him, but believes he's involved. I think she has tried and tried to get MR to talk to her to no avail. So at this point she's trying to call him out.

JMHO but I think most wives can tell when hubby is not telling the truth, even ex's. It is not surprising to me, he doesn't want to talk to her if he has something to hide.

While going after a fly you might try to lure them in with honey at first. When that doesn't work you go after them with a fly swatter. :) :) :)

Except the 'official' Facebook page is planning a big state-by-state social media campaign. There would be no reason to do that if they thought MR did it.

If it was done only to make "MR feel safe", I think many would feel used when they could have been promoting true missing child cases.

She's just being honest.

I'm sure she is being honest. I just found her comments interesting. In my opinion if she wants any dialog with MR, accusing him of wrong doing is not a good way of achieving that goal. MOO.

And.... I said 'I don't know that she necessarily believes that he harmed him, but believes he's involved'.

I think she thinks it's possible that he is hiding Dylan somewhere.

Also, ER tried the flyswatter first; she accused MR very quickly.

He will likely never communicate regardless of what she or anyone does or doesn't do. MOO

I get that. This woman is desperate for answers.

At first I think she lashed out at MR out of pure shock and anger. I would have done the same when I found out my child was missing.

Then I think she tried baiting him with honey, to no avail.

Now I think the fly swatter is out.

Maybe. But if he feels that he's being attacked he sure won't. MOO.

If my daughter would have gone missing while in my sisters care, a babysitters care, my Moms care or my ex husbands care, my first reaction would have been to lash out at this person that I entrusted to care for my child. NO MATTER WHO IT WAS!

I agree, but it's possible he may get mad enough to come out & speak to the press...that maybe what she is hoping??? IDK

Maybe ex husbands can tell when their ex wives are being less than honest when presenting their "honey" and decide not to talk to them. MOO.

I agree. She probably thinks this too. And she probably thinks it can't hurt trying to call him out in the media. I think she's tried every angle she can think of and it's not working so why not try this? She is desperate for answers as to where her son is. What's she got to lose?

I kind of doubt it, but maybe? She knows him better than we do.

Elaine's thinking reminds me a bit of Desiree Young's. Didn't Desiree also believe that Terri might have given Kyron to someone? That he was stashed somewhere?
