I agree with you, Clu. One thing national attention *may* do, is to keep the pressure on LE to continue to fight for answers. At least I hope so.

I hate to think it is necessary for that reason. But national media could perhaps apply pressure that would cause LE to make a statement, at least.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the media asked for a press conference from LE?!

Sorry...just a fantasy, I know.

This case is so heartbreaking. Maybe because its blue Monday, but I am shedding more tears for this precious boy. As a mother I strongly empathize with his mom. I would be so broken if one of my childern were missing.

How terrible for ER, to be begging for media and being unable to arouse interest because there is nothing new. If there was news, she would not need the attention. It will be even more difficult now, with Superbowl, that crazy Notre Dame business, inauguration, etc. She must feel like she is shouting down a well.

Still, I feel the answer is right there in or near Vallecito, and that national attention would not really help anyway. I do not believe Dylan is "out there" to be spotted by a trucker or anyone else, except maybe by a hiker.

I agree that the answers most likely lie in or near Vallecito. I do think national attention could still be helpful. I suspect there are quite a few families like mine who don't follow their local news broadcasts faithfully (driving home time, getting supper ready time, etc.) but do watch cable news as it cycles and is available at all hours. And it could help keep locals talking and spreading the word. I agree that a hiker, hunter or a jogger who might not normally give a second thought to a discarded piece of clothing or a back pack could lead to a recovery. All MOO.

Wow. Hey, who is finddylan on here? Hopefully family?

I am part of Dylans family. I chose not to get verified because I have mixed feelings about "airing family laundry".

If people were to write letters to columnists or news anchors who have already covered the story, asking them to talk to the family about new information that is coming out, I wonder if some of them would?

There is a break in the Jodi Arius Trial right now. Perhaps NG and JVM would focus back on Dylan.

National attention would be helpful if he was kidnapped by some pervert (the only situation in which I think he could still be alive). There were a rather small number of people found alive after years in such situations. But I am far from convinced that is the case.

I agree with you. However I think it's important for the Family. I like to think it may be "bothersome" to MR who has had so little to say. Sure wish MR would answer a few simple questions or at least join the ranks of the rest of the Family who only want Dylan found. IMO

Some people seem sure that Dylan has been stashed somewhere (with help) by one of the relatives.

It actually seems a bit more of a possibility now than it did before. I certainly hope this child is alive and safe.

What I can't grasp is who, where, why?

I mean it's been 2 months....not just a week somewhere...

I would love this scenario as it means a happy ending but i have to agree 2 months is such a long time and Mark will be being watched and so he has not been able to pop out and check on him IMO .

So who would risk going to jail for Mark by keeping him ?! IMO
