I agree that it's difficult to imagine Mark pulling this off without leaving a shred of evidence. But we have no idea what and/or how much evidence LE does have.

Because they have not found the crime scene as of yet!
whatever happend didnt happen at home as i see it!

and they wont find a crime scene while it is covered in snow!

And we have to remember that Dr Phil will reach many more people than a facebook page. Most people watching the show will tend to believe Dr Phil. If MR's innocent this could be wonderful for him.

And how did we all learn about Elizabeth Smart? Television!! If there's any chance Dylan is out there people need to know his face. Yes her face was covered in public, but if Dylan is out there being held captive there is the slight chance that eventually whomever is holding him might eventually take him out in public. If this is in Florida, Texas or heck even Colorado, how many people even know about Dylan?

The bike being outside MR's house when LE searched has always bothered me. Did MR leave that out 24/7 especially with him being gone on the road so much? Was it staged? Did LE ask him to pull the bike out of the garage so they could look at it?

I think the reason the offer from MH was posted on FB is because last I heard MR had blocked Elaine and Cory's calls. I don't know that they have any other way to get a message to him.

I disagree. I'm sure there are many people that can get in contact with MR. He has been communicating with the reporter that did his interview among other people. I think it was done to humiliate him and get the mob riled up. This kind of game just adds more of a barrier of communication between parties. I highly doubt 2 days of pay would make any difference and there is nothing to indicate that MR said any of what they are claiming.

If you want to work together and get the other party to cooperate, this certainly isn't the way to do it. I don't think whoever starts this stuff has the best intentions in mind. I think they enjoy watching the public take sides and bad mouth MR, more than they care about getting the parents to cooperate and work peacefully together to find Dylan.

Say for instance, I had a lengthy heated text conversation with someone and they were very hostile towards me. I may very well say a few things back in defense. Then someone takes and posts my few comments on SM for the world to see, but fails to include the hostile things said on their end. Say other things are also done similar to this, to the point that I was being publicly incriminated. I wouldn't want to continue to converse with anyone that would do this to me. I would want a mediator because I know no matter what I said, they would take it and turn it around and use it against me, on a public forum to boot!

Then on top of it, if people started to twist or make things up because they ran out of fuel for the fire, would that help the situation?

The parents need some good, caring, professional people to stand by their sides and bring things together. Someone that is professional and has no bias. They need someone to protect them from outside influences that aren't in Dylan's or their best interests.

This is all about finding Dylan. I think the badmouthing of MR on FB is absolutely ridiculous. (and that's putting it nicely)
However, I can't help but feel that the key to finding Dylan is getting MR to talk. Whether that be him slipping up so LE knows he's guilty, a confession, or people realizing he truly is innocent so they can focus on the stranger abduction. Whatever the case may be, I think if Dylan is ever going to be found MR needs to speak up.

It was not MR himself who made the statement agreeing to go on Dr Phil in 3 weeks on FB. It was his PI MO. So take it for what that's worth.

Really...who cares? He either does it or he doesn't and we will know soon enough.

So that means that we just discount all of the other versions? I can understand that if it's a matter of different media stories, but the majority of these are straight from MR's mouth.

It doesn't mean discount it. It means that you have some questions about it. Very valid questions and good to file away. Others are just saying that it does or doesn't raise the same questions for them and that is just good to think about, doesn't mean you have to change your mind.

I agree that the "help him" statement seems a bit out of place. I'm not sure what that means or if it means anything. Overall, I think the statements of the morning are realistic and they make sense to me.

One thing, for me, that I have noticed is that this family all has a way of "speaking" that appears to be a little different than the norm. All three, ER, CR, and MR spoke about Dylan in the past tense during the early days of this investigation. Saying "that boy" also seems to be just a normal form of speech for them (we call my gs "the boy") and the use of the word "absolutely" which is often an indicator of untruth, also seems to be common to the family members. So.... none of it is helping me to spot "mistruths."

The most important thing, in my opinion, is to keep talking about it. Keep analyzing it. Keep looking for that clue.

I stopped looking at either page a couple of weeks back. IMO things took a downward turn when the official page admin outed herself after posting pretty viciously under yet another name on the other page. It's a great example of fb at its worst now - I'm wondering if some users will ever take a step back and reconsider their own part in what it has become.

Yes and in that outing when the admin said "we" have been having KB post things. I was beyond shocked.

I was thinking about my son at 13. If I left for errands while he was asleep and I expected him to be home when I got back, I wouldn't be alarmed to start with. If I was waiting for him to get back and I was tired and fell asleep, I would expect him to be here when I woke up. But I still wouldn't be alarmed if he wasn't. I'd start going to his friends house, first David's, then Brian's, then Bobby's, then AC's, then Tony's. I'd ask at each place if they'd seen my son. If they said no, about this time is when I'd start getting alarmed. In fact, I'd turn internally to jelly. All of a sudden I would be petrified. I would swear when I got my hands on that kid, he'd regret not leaving me a note.

If I had to go to the police department or call them, I'd be in hysterics by that time.

But I do think it would take me awhile before I felt alarmed. I'd just think he was out and about, visiting with his buddies. And I'd wish like heck I'd woken him up and made him go with me, or not left the house at all. I think these are all natural reactions. IMO, JMO, MOO.

When my youngest was around 13, I came home from work one afternoon, and he wasn't there, but he had come home and left his school books and changed shirts for some reason. I wasn't too worried right at first, he could have been at a friend's house, or he could have been riding his bike. After his dad got home sometime later and it turned dark, that's when I started getting worried. This was not like our son to just hang out somewhere and not call us.

We looked everywhere we could think of, even ended up calling the police at some point and gave them his description. Finally he came walking into the yard from the back alley sometime between 9 and 10 p.m. It was a huge relief but at the same time we got angry with him for putting us through all that worry. I just remember wanting to hug him and shake him till his teeth rattled at the same time.

The point is, the fear and shock doesn't set in right at first. In my case, it crept up on me and I can't tell you what time it dawned on me that something could be very wrong. All I can say is that if he had not come home when he did, I would have been a basket case by the next day.

In the beginning, though, I don't remember being scared that something had happened to him. I might have put a load of clothes in the washer, I may have fixed something quick to eat, put on a pot of coffee, fed the dog, or done ordinary things. In the back of my mind I started having little niggling thoughts... what if he's hurt somewhere, what if somebody kidnapped him?
It just didn't happen all at once, it came slowly... it just evolved, finally, to panic.

Maybe this is how it was with Mark. He thought Dylan was just doing boy things, nothing to be concerned about, he would come home eventually. I can certainly relate to that.

I've never found Dr Phil worth caring about what he thinks one way or another, and I'm not going to start now :floorlaugh:

Besides, I thought the Dr Phil thing was to get Dylan's face out to the masses. They don't need tests, talks, psychologists etc on MR to do that.

Regardless of where he says them ? I do not know if that is true
or not. But forgive me in advance and in retro. When I see a term
like 3 weeks used over and over for many pages, I assume (yes
stupidly, obviously) that it is ok to discuss here and am in the
wrong for not checking out every post's validity prior to commenting
on it. Some people don't have 24/ 7 to check the work of others and
I'm glad that some do........to keep the others in check !

Greetings fellow sleuths -

This is my first posting here, so I wanted to say hello and briefly introduce myself. I've been a lurker here for a long time, and I think I've read every single post in the Dylan Redwine forum. I've followed each development daily, have made pages of notes, cross-referenced information, and tried to use every ounce of knowledge, experience, and a healthy dose of intuition to help find an answer and bring Dylan home. The posted videos (especially the outtakes from the TV interviews) are very interesting.

My background includes 10+ years of search and rescue experience and although I am not law enforcement, I have spent a considerable amount of time working with police and detectives over the years. I would in no way consider myself an expert in missing persons but I've picked up a lot of knowledge over the years which will hopefully yield some insight into cases such as this. If I miss any forum rules along the way please nudge me – I definitely want to contribute in a positive fashion and following all guidelines.

The problem I have with some of the "Official" Facebook page statement's is that their quoting what Mark has allegedly told them. It may or may not be exactly what he said or in what context. I liken it to hearsay and I would like to hear his side before condemning him of anything. JMO.

thank you! I knew the use of "absolutely" was an indicator of untruth but haven't been able to find that stated anywhere. It always gets my hackles up.
