Even when they are on antipsychotics it doesn't take away or stop the voices. It just makes them more tolerable. My son got a injection everyday of invega which is an antipsychotic.
I read hies calm now that he's on the proper meds. The meds mellow them out almost to the extent of being lethargic to the severe cases. I can't research it. I'm at work.
I know what you are trying to say, he is so smart he should be able to contribute, or should have been. But he lacks motivation, seems to hold resentment against society. It's a shame really, because I am a big believer that with intelligence comes compassion, but in this case it just isn't so.
I wonder if any of the surviving victims have returned to movie theaters? I know we went last Wednesday, and I was nervous, but when we got there it was empty so I relaxed. But as it started to fill up I got more and more nervous. I was trying to figure out if sitting next to an exit made it a more safe choice because you could quickly get out, or if it could be a point of entry for a person with bad intentions.
Calm is what we see..He is NOT incapacitated nor unable to understand anything..He is following his "Marching Orders" act this way when Jury is in room...then you can act that way when they aren't....I heard JH was on Haldol..which actually is a marvellous medication.....They calm down and are able to answer questions appropriately and follow instructions..completely aware of surroundings and NO They are NOT sedated..But blocked from responding to whatever triggered aberrant behaviours .....
Most patient's I dealt with given this med in ER after being brought in OUT OF CONTROL..calmed down within 20 minutes of injection ( thru clothes @times)....and I was amazed just how cognoscenti they were...
I guess it's an unfair advantage I have had in dealing with OUT of control folks ( 25 years ER)..so, maybe hard for laypeople to understand just where I am coming from...Just take it as insight I guess :moo:
Isn't it amazing how this attack has affected more than just the people who were there that night?
