Jumping off your post, hope you don't mind. Is there anyway to track a phone's location for the time of the text? Anyone?

I think the phone company can at least tell which cell tower the phone was using.

Yes. This could involve a plane if she left on her own free will.

I don’t believe she left willingly though. Nor do I believe that she is still alive.
I wonder if her front door was locked or unlocked when the welfare check happened. Even if she went out for a walk or a hike, most people don't take their purses.

Yes. Unfortunately this time sending an alarm was as slow as molasses. Don’t think it even hit the local Denver news until last night. LOTS of time for someone to cover their tracks. The timeline looks woefully bare. One can only hope LE has been on the ball this whole time despite appearances.
But you know, so often LE thinks the person has just left the other person. Her leaving the baby would be weird but I have known of people who did it. LE just got on SW's case so quickly because her friends were able to prove to LE that their were marital problems, she missed a doctor's appointment, she had lupus, and was diabetic. Their alarm and then CW's reaction spurred them into action. That rarely happens. Kelsey's family didn't seem to live as close and she did not seem to communicate as often. That gave someone extra time for foul play. Makes you think it is good to have a routine of some sort and contact with someone that knows that routine.

<modsnip - not victim friendly> [Sorry! And thanks for the reminder. I could have said the same thing in a kinder way.]

I can understand that. It is unusual IMO, to call God using a possessive pronoun.

It sounds odd to me, too, but to the deeply religious it is very typical.

I don't even take my purse if I'm just running to a store, I usually just take my wallet or put my debit card in my back pocket so I don't have to carry anything.

I just watched the press conference again and it was not said that PF took the baby at Safeway. She & the baby were last seen at 12:27 on video surveillance shopping in Safeway. When officers contacted PF, he said he had not seen KB since the 22nd when they exchanged their daughter. He didn’t give a time or place where the exchange happened.
Thank you. I've been scrolling and trying to find where it was actually stated that the location of the custody exchange was the Safeway and can't. I understand it to be as you have posted, ie., she and the baby were seen shopping at Safeway. Then, as I understood it, she later on met the fiancee for the custody exchange. IMO, she drove to the Safeway with her daughter but met fiancee somewhere else to do custody exchange. I couldn't hear what the press was asking and thought that I maybe missed it.

My hunch (only a hunch, not fact) is that there might be a culture in this case that doesn't call LE easily/quickly, doesn't jump forward to do interviews, etc. I think the slowness to report her missing and what seems like reluctance to provide information might reflect that.

Speculation only. jmo
What exactly do you mean? A "culture"?

Anyone that I know would know if the purse I was using at the time was missing. I carry my everyday use things in my purse and if all the purses in my home were empty, then the one I was using would be missing.

On the Sheriffs website it says later in the day on the 22nd he came and picked up the baby.

If it was sent using something like iMessage or other app over WiFi then it wouldn't be easy to trace. If it went via SMS then the location of the phone at the time the message was sent will be available.

Some religions do not celebrate holidays, are more reserved and not particularly comfortable with going to LE, the press, etc.

I do NOT know that to be the situation here, but think it might be.

Except that I just realised that I complained about all the states starting with I, but Ohio does not. It does have an i, though.
LOL yes it does, therefore it counts !!

Agreed. She is only alive if she left on her own.

I’m also bothered by the lack of any information indicating trouble in her life.

It's possible she left on her own and isn't alive. Jennifer Huston and Holly Kay Towery come to mind. Both left on their own and self-harmed. Both were mothers with young children and families that were surprised by the outcome.

Maybe a distrust of “outsiders” wanting to handle things “in house”

I wonder if that was arranged beforehand? If I needed groceries and knew that I was going to be child free later in day, I would be inclined to wait to shop until then.
Not to say everyone would.

LE can't trace you if your phone is off. The only way for a Government agency or other Law enforcement agencies to track down your position if the phone is turned on.

Ok..... Then do they have pinged as it traveled 700 miles away?

If there are no pinges. Why not?

Yes, I've been thinking about Jennifer Huston today. I don't think that happened in this case, but I am keeping an open mind about it.

Something tells me “self harm” would be a big no no of shame with this community. I still say baby daddy needs more Le attn since he saw her last
