Agree- flying is gross. However, I personally don't think she showered. I've always been perplexed about the suitcase being found at the bottom of the steps. It seems like it must be important to the pieces of this puzzle but I'm not sure how exactly.

To me it signals something happened rather quickly after she got home. The only reason I can think the suitcase would still be at the bottom of the stairs is if she, or CW, just hadn't had a chance to bring it up yet.
You would think that there would be something in that suitcase that she need to shower and brush her teeth, wouldn't you?

It's possible he came down to greet her, she handed him the suitcase to carry upstairs for her and when she turned her back, he set it down and put her in a choke hold.

To me, the suitcase at the bottom of the stairs indicates that SW was too tired to lug it upstairs and CW did not help her with the suitcase. Maybe, the contents of the suitcase were headed to the washing machine and the washing machine was on the first floor.

I know that on rare occasions when I am out of town, I purchase travel size toothpaste, shampoo, etc., Just so I don't have to mess with it when I get home.

I still am curious why the gap between the time when NU arrived 12 pm as per interview
mark 2:33
and the time when Officer Coonrod was dispatched at 1:40. That is a large gap in time and I am curious why such a gap before notifying the police or the police being dispatched. Not questioning NU just curious what events occurred between noon and 1:40.
NU stated she called CW when she arrived at their home and discovered what she had. So I assume NU called CW just after 12 pm.
Why did CW not come home right away at around just after 12 pm?
I believe it was noted previously that CW work was 40 minutes away (?) therefore if LE arrived at 1:40 and they called CW and he said he was 5 minutes away then it seems CW left work at around 1 pm. I am curious why CW did not leave right away when NU contacted him I am assuming just after 12 pm?

Is there a possibility that between the time NU contacted CW at around 12 pm and from the time he likely left work at assuming 1 pm, did CW dispose of any bodies during that time?

Speculation Alert!

Around Noon
NUA: I can't reach Shanann. Do you know where she is?
CW: She is at a playdate with some vague friends.
NUA: Can't be. She missed her dr's appointment this morning. Her car is here in the garage.
CW: Oh, I asked her for a separation. Please just go home.
NUA: You need to come home. I'm calling the police right now.

Noon-1 pm
Hmm... Perhaps Shanann was buried in the morning, then he ran out of time before he had to go to work. He had planned to bury the babies during lunch time. Then at noon NUA called so he had to quickly drop the girls in the tanks before going home. No time to dig.

1pm
CW rushes home blowing every stop signs.

1:40 pm
Police arrives. Since this is a wellfare check, and not a 911 call, it takes a while for them to repond.

Thank you so much PommyMommy! I kept up with your media updates today in the media thread. The footprints request is a huge new revelation, IMO.
What could this mean? Did he step on the bodies with his bare feet while they were inside a bag?
I'm picturing him taking off his shoes and climbing down the ladder inside the oil tank, then using his feet to push the girls under the oil. :(
But would a footprint still be retrievable if the bag was submerged in oil?
Other ideas?
If the bag found at the site is related to this case, I imagine it's a plastic trash bag used to transport one of the girls. I think he would have left the footprint while barefooted at the house, prior to them being transported. It's my impression that the bag was found on the ground and not inside either of the tanks. Whatever the explanation, I think he stepped on the bag inside his house.

We don’t know where the bag or bags were found, but there’s no evidence that it came from the oil tanks.

I also don’t think he would have climbed down the ladder, because just throwing the bodies down there would suffice.

I think she got ambushed shortly after she walked through the door and if she did happen to get up to the top of the stairs he pushed her back down. I think this was premeditated and he killed the girls after the party on Sunday. He BBQ on Sunday eve.

Yes! Or stuff from her purse too. I don’t totally unpack, but you still get a few things out. We’ll see if they give detail later. But also, he had some time to maybe rearrange some stuff.

I can confirm that the washing machine and dryer are located on the second floor of the home based on a photo I saw on SW facebook. I will try and locate it.

Thanks for the feedback. As for #1: if there were recent excavation, as you said, makes sense. #2, I respectfully disagree. He is saying this has to stop/this had to end in regards to the "missing family" and unknown whereabouts. Shannon was already strangled and he was pretending his family was missing and deceiving everybody wheh he uttered the "this has to stop/this has to end".

"This has to stop". That little nugget really stood out to me, still does. He said some other things that also seemed disjointed (for lack of a better word), but those 4 words may have been what was going on in his head between 2 & 5am that early Monday morning. moo

Oh and I think he took the girls to the party first on Sun as an Alibi he was with them on Sun. This makes me think of little Ara Andressian 5 yrs whose Dad strangled him in the back of his car after a fun day at Disneyland and pulled the he’s missing crap after he left him by a tree at Castaic lake.

It was found at the scene where the body's were located, those tanks were definitely part of the scene.

During the course of this investigation, items of evidence
have been collected and
have
been sent
to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for testing.
Upon receiving these
items an Agent with the Colorado Bureau of
Investigation
developed possible bare foot
impressions, using their normal latent print process for non
-
porous items. These
impressions were developed from a bag (Frederick Police Department Item #26) which
was collected at
the scene where the victim’s bod
ies were located.

But wouldn't this mean he would have decided to leave decomposing bodies in his truck in the heat all morning?

This might be a stupid question, but didn’t CW get fingerprinted when he was booked? Why are they asking for more hand prints? Because they didn’t do the entire palm?

  • #697
I did not realize that CW went inside the tanks himself. I thought it was stated that the tanks were quite full of oil at the time of discovery of bodies. Would CW not have opened the latch and drop them inside? Was there a requirement for CW to enter the tank to drop the bodies?

IDK. All I know is that a video of some similar tanks was posted here and it showed a ladder going down inside and the worker going through the hatch and down the ladder inside. If they were very full maybe he would only need to stick his foot through the hatch door? It's a horrifying thought, but if the girls were in bags they might have floated from air in the bag and he wouldn't want to get crude oil on his shoes. JMO.

CW, had it all. A job, a nice house, a loving wife, beautiful children and one on the way and threw it all away. Not through divorce, years of financial recovery, but through murder,
his life in prison. Is there any reasoning to this??? I think not.

Can I post a pic from SW Instagram account? SW is in the photo. Photo confirms the location of laundry room. TIA

Also I want to know if I can post a pic from SW Instagram account showing the upstairs sectional couch. SW, CCW and BW are in the pic so not sure if I should.

Yeah. Maybe they didn’t do the palm, and they definitely didn’t do the feet. They didn’t give him a cheek swab either, hence the requests from the DA.
