I agree with you. They don't need help other than what they ask for.
I posted upstream some links to missing people in National Parks. They specifically requested no volunteer searchers.
As far as her physical description there are pictures of her all over the web, in news articles, any tv news shots, the flyers. Back in the old days, they pretty much had to rely on written descriptions and grainy black and white newspaper photos.
When I hear a news blurb or read an article and want to know what someone looks like, I Google the heck out of that name or event. I'd be willing to bet that other people do this, too.

The transactions have probably been planned for sometime and there are probably advisors and/or attorneys helping with this. There is probably a 1031 involved. Motive = long term financial stability for family...IMO
ITA with that. MooI think Suzanne's family is being silent because they have a good idea of what happened. They also have two young ladies to think about, who are no doubt heartbroken and very worried and scared right now.

I may have lost the point of what you're saying, but typically, firemen are not considered "volunteer searchers" but instead "first responders." Even volunteer departments.
When the NP say "no volunteers" it's code for "please don't try to belay yourself down a sandstone cliff in 110° weather to try and save a stranger." IME. Good advice, BTW. Good-hearted people have lost their lives, searching as volunteers.
While there are pictures of Suzanne, not one dates to before 2017 IMO. So...usually...there's a more recent picture. I guess the family stopped using cameras sometime after Christmas 2018.
I'd love to know when the Turquoise Helmet picture was taken - it may be early 2019. But it's the most recent picture of Suzanne, surely.
The attorneys I know start at $50k for a simple criminal charge - we don’t do criminal so we refer - and never have we referred for murder charges so my guess is $150k- and up based on criminal charges that were not murder - yikes !Probably not that many defense attorneys out there willing to waive their 100k payment unless/until their client's spouse is located safe and sound, though.

Curious, if a couple was walking by in the distance, and the woman appears to be struggling, are you looking for a tall woman? How would you know?
I actually could tell based on my own height, if I had a clue what to look for to begin with I think, but without the info on a poster...one walking by with a little distance would not mean anything. Other than seeing the person face to face what do you have? After months of lock down you honestly think her hair looked like one of her photos?? She could be entirely grey or just long roots. The photos while incredibly attractive (and no doubt she is) are intended glamor shots IMO. I'd do it too for posting if I cared, I'm not knockings her BTW for the record...
I think we’d see a more current picture if they thought it was possible she was abducted or something (and she looked different).I've given all this probably way more thought than it needed but, the fact is, we really have no idea what she looked like Mother's Day weekend.
It's like we have just enough info to make us question everything (her cancer diagnosis and treatment, times 2) and not enough information to rule out the most obvious such as hair loss, weight loss, or gain, etc.
The fact that all the pics used in the media about her, are over a year old, also makes me wonder why in the heck year old pics are being used?
I've had some health issues and I look a LOT different now, than I did a year ago. And even two years ago.
In fact, most folks (men and women both) in the 50 and 50+ crowd, tend to change considerably in a year's time if there's been any health concerns.
I don't even know if we'll ever see different pics of her but I have a feeling she really looked much different than the pics we're seeing.

I don’t think it matters who exactly sent the email to the church. More importantly, who provided the information to the sender. Most likely BM as it supports his ideas about what happened. However, it does not seem to support LE’s idea of what took place. MOO

@CassadyI believe that contingency fee retainers are not allowed in criminal cases in most states...IMO...
As many of us who would say we would scream before the cameras, he also had a missing infant so maybe in that scenario we would keep mum? Idk but that case was different in that mother and child were both missing. Also to his credit the poor guy had everyone suspecting him of the worst regarding mother and child. I’m thrilled that I misjudged it and at least the baby was unharmed.Yes that was a shocker for me. Husband was so awkward in front of the camera.
Truer words were never spoken! IMOI know you're not knocking her. This probably won't be received well here, but the lack of precise physical description makes me think that early on maybe they weren't looking for her as a live, missing person or for "when did you last see this woman?". Maybe they already knew or had a good idea of where she was or what happened. When they were searching the trails and growth, there wasn't a need because she either would have been found or she wouldn't. Not sure how else to word this but in the beginning, any female found alive or deceased would be easily identified.
I know what you're saying regarding height, weight, hair color, etc. Maybe they didn't want to restrict anyone's memory by giving a definite description other than her photos. People might discount seeing her because to them, she didn't look as tall or blonde or fat or thin like the description said. People misjudge and misremember. A 'missing woman' lets people be open to a wider memory and no preconceived idea of what she looks like other than the photos. Broadcast that she's 5' 11" 105 lbs and people will still swear they saw her, but "she was so much shorter and stockier than described".
I also think that if she looked significantly different than the photos on the flyers, either it would have been mentioned or more recent photos used if there are any.
I think those things, but I have no idea why they haven't described her in a traditional way. If they thought it would help, I feel sure they would have described her in those terms when they asked for information. They know what they're doing.
LE does not put public safety or looking for a missing person on the back burner for the sake of tourism. IMO
Ahem. Link.Welllllll......I don’t know if that’s exactly true. Ahem. Florida. Ahem.
But that’s for another thread!
