Yesterday we had pics, it's a block shaped, chain, budget hotel, looks like 3-4 stories, not a motel. Not a cheap joint as DM implied. Just wondering if he had a ground floor room for one of those employees, not to lug tools up stairs. But they probably have an elevator. I too would prefer a motel room where my vehicle is right in front of the door so no need to babysit or spend time moving tools around en masse.

Excellent point. I travel (prior to COVID) and the contractors at those hotels usually parked on the sides, vs coming through the front. There is MOO always lighting / good surveillance at those side entrances. I recall this as that is where I usually parked in hotels of such.

As an aside, I don't know of any motels being built in decades for major chains (definition MOO: those that are one and two stories that only have their entrance to room on the outside vs. inside of the building - those are only the very old designs that motel 6 and those types now have bought up...egads...sketchy .. had to stay at one three years ago as was falling asleep at the wheel and that was only ones near me in SC trip..)

Good point, we haven't heard of any mention of a housekeeper. With that size home, I would expect they had one.

Yes, circumstantial cases can often be much stronger than direct evidence cases. A mountain of circumstantial evidence is more powerful than one eyewitness's testimony as that witness can be attacked by the defense. MOO

I agree with you, JP could spot a player and would not want to be played. He's far more intelligent than BM when it comes to sizing up bullcarp.

It's interesting that after being recruited on Saturday, that he called BM around noon on Sunday to make double check if the job was legit.

I think JP's hinky meter was picking up all kinds of vibes when he talked to BM on Saturday. After all BM had probably just murdered Suzanne. He was gonna be giving off so much angsty vibrations, incongruent to the topic of discussion.

Bet JP was scratching his head then, but it all makes perfect sense to him now.

Speculation, but as a former inmate, JP could also be on parole/probation right now. If that was the case, JP has a very compelling reason to be 100% truthful and upfront about anything he knows. BM, not so much.

Can a crew just show up in Colorado and start work on a wall? Even with a rebuild, aren’t permits required? Here in the Northeast, a stop work order would get issued immediately if a job was started without permits posted. If there was dirt involved, there is a whole separate set of permits. It doesn’t sound like this was private property based on who the client was. We saw the permits from the SW dig site.

It seems like a lot more than permits would be required.... signs, cones, etc. In many states you have to have approval from the Dept of Transportation, highway patrol, etc. I don't see that happening on MD weekend.

On May 10, 2020 the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to County Road 225 and West Highway 50 on a report of a missing woman. Investigation revealed that Suzanne Morphew, age 49, from Maysville had gone for a bike ride in that area and had not returned home.
A search began immediately. Over the past 4 days over 100 search personnel from Chaffee County Search and Rescue, Department of Corrections, and the Chaffee County Combined Tac Team have scoured the area. Numerous Drones have been used for countless hours to assist in the search. 8 different tracking and scent dogs from the Department of Corrections and the Search and Rescue Dogs of Colorado were deployed to aid in the search. Members from Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the South Ark Swiftwater Rescue Teams have searched area watersheds and Reach Air Ambulance flew search missions as well, however Ms Morphew has yet to be located.
In conjunction with the search the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into the disappearance of Ms Morphew. Investigators from the 11th Judicial District, Colorado Bureau of Investigations, the Salida Police Department, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations have joined the effort.
A dedicated tip line has been established by the Colorado Bureau of Investigations. That tip line number is 719-312-7530. Anyone with information into the disappearance of Ms Morphew are asked to call the tip line.

My guess is by now, LE has the GPS (which apparently doesn't match what the husband told LE per AM) and so they are working out exactly what was going on Saturday May 9 after the sudden stop of the messaging between SM and her friend - his whereabouts are important IMO. Wonder if they passed out those flyers in downtown Salida because they have information he was there? And let's not forget the request of the security camera footage and those dates.
I'm still wondering if she wore a fitbit or apple watch...

I'm having thoughts about the lack of coolers, and the possible use of the Bobcat at an odd time, and remembering Anne Marie Fahey and her being dumped in the ocean in a cooler that wouldn't sink and had to be shot. Also, my dad was a big outdoors guy and had a gigantic cooler to put an intact fish in for taxidermy later. Easy to fit an adult in there, without any grisly post-mortem work. I wonder if BM thought by burying Suzanne in the cooler, it would stop the scent?
No matter what, not having any coolers at all is very strange. Even when I lived in a student apartment, I still had a litte Igloo stuck in the closet, KWIM?

Someone was able to find the permits for the other jobsite BM worked on. Is it the same company? Maybe the permits were applied for ahead of time? Idk. I'm sure LE has all this information, though. Apparently the job wasn't supposed to start until Monday so I would think all the necessary paperwork would have been completed.

BM's excuse for going to Denver was that he was going to prepare the job site, so what stands out to me is that he didn't seem to get it done. What happened to the bobcat or other equipment that it wasn't there on Monday?
