I was thinking.....
“Third rate romance
Low rent rendezvous”

He literally said that exact thing, but don't ask me to provide a link.

Speaking of AM, I've seen him in several places referred to as an attorney? Was this an error DM perpetrated in a recent story?
I'm near positive that is false. According to PE, AM took over ownership of the Rootbeer establishment after their dad retired. SM does have other brothers and DM may have mixed up their occupations.

Geez--you all are moving fast here. I clicked on a notification and ended up a whole thread behind.
and now 16 pages into this one.
OK-- time to go back and catch up.
Carry on-- great thoughts going on in here.

BBM:

I know technology has its uses, but this Big Brother crap genuinely creeps me out.

Everyone should pick up a copy of 1984 and read, or re-read, it.

Because 2020 is the new 1984.

George Orwell was a true visionary…he was just off by 36 years.

We're right there where he envisioned us.

JMO.
It creeps me out too. There is no privacy.

The suggestions were definitely happening prior to news of her disappearance. I don't believe it would have been a result of people snooping SM's FB page because of that. JMO.

I have a question. Do you know if BM was an avid social media user or an occasional user? Does he typically post loving comments about his wife? If so has this been going on for a while or is this something new for him? Typically when someone starts referencing a person on their page this will generate a whole slew of suggested new friends requests. My suspicion is that he may have started posting loving comments about Suzanne in an attempt to show that he was a devoted husband. IMO

I agree, irritating that media is so lax on fact checking.

Speaking of Gene's Rootbeer & Hotdogs. I watched a food review on you tube, YUM! Who doesn't love a good hot dog!!

The Regional Transportation District operates rail and bus transportation systems in the Denver metropolitan area. One feature is an express bus line (the Flatiron Flyer) that runs between downtown Denver and downtown Boulder along U.S. 36 - formerly known as the Boulder Turnpike. It has limited stops at Park & Ride locations along the way, including a stop very close to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites identified earlier as the place BM and his crew stayed on MD weekend. If the work was for RTD, the nearby Park & Rides (northbound and southbound) and the adjacent parking structure would seem the most likely location of the work.

Are LE allowed to bug BM's house and phone /computer?
Not LE or a lawyer but in order to wiretap (listen in on phone calls) they would have to have a warrant. It’s my minimal understanding that it’s difficult to get a wiretap warrant. LE must have exhausted all other options to obtain information before resorting to wiretap. I’m not sure about bugging the home.

I agree in that I don’t think Barry could fake a wedding convo either, but remember, he wasn’t alone that Saturday. His other employees were around too on the Salida job. One of them being a female employee who I could see convincingly faking a wedding convo IMO.
No way a female unknown to SM’s friend could jump into the middle of a conversation that had been ongoing. IMO

Interesting theory. I have trouble reconciling that, though, with the interrupted conversation with her friend. That, along with the report of "suspicious activity" after that interrupted conversation points me more in the direction of activity on FB after 12:30 on Saturday. I wish the DW had a better recollection of when these suggestions started popping up - she is 100% sure it was during the weekend (Sat and Sun), but does not remember the timing.
Interesting.
But Texting with a friend is way different than FB messaging so maybe
SM was Texting, but BM thought FB messaging and snooped on her page.

Random thought tied to the original PE timeline of 9pm and the friend panicking, and the new time of 12:30pm being when SM was not communicating.

-What if 12:30pm is the time stamp that aligns with the new info of BM taking over SM’s account on his phone.
But
-BM was able to fool the friend up until 9pm by posting as SM. Maybe as the conversation went on the friend got more suspicious, and by 9pm asked questions that only SM would know the answer to and that is what gave things away and then the friend panics knowing it’s not SM she’s been talking to.

According to DW, he was a very infrequent FB user. He used IG more than FB. DW doesn't recall seeing any posts from BM around that time.

If her phone was knocked out of her hand and the screen shattered it may be unusable - remember the sheriffs response to the question about her phone being located ? No comment
JMO
Unless that was the other "item" located that LE has not mentioned.
They could have found her phone elsewhere.
We don't know what that "item" was to my knowledge.
I may have missed update though.

Good point, I hadn't thought of him being on the move.
I wonder though, would he know her login and pw to login on his own phone?
I know this happens but, do people really give other people their login and pw?
BBM-- YES--more so spouses do IMO

BBM. ^^^^^ Yes, about a year ago maybe..... MOO. strange after all those years! I’m not sure as we can’t sleuth BM social media, but it is suspicious to me as well!

Edit for clarity.

It doesn't seem consistant that BM might know her FB login and pw, but didn't know the pw to unlock her phone, so that he could impersonate her.

jmo
maybe not consistant to you, but my family could log into my FB and other sites, but would not know my PW to my tablet or laptop.
Depends on what device they use.

I believe PE also stated that the conversation with the friend started mid afternoon, so BM wouldn’t have had to pick up an on going conversation, he would have been able to start the conversation himself when the friend messaged since he was in control of the account.

I think this is how those two times from PE make sense and why they’ve kept both times on their site.

Somebody needs to get Mark Zuckerberg on the line pronto! He should be able to explain it and also why if you talk about something on FB an ad suddenly shows up related to what you were talking about. Creepy spy software!
OMG--this happens to us all the time
we can have a conversation, in real life, not on FB or SM, and the ads start popping up with what we discussed.
Big brother is always listening, I guess LOL
