I think this will be a case where we find out later that there was a text sent or a note left behind that indicated that Suzanne intended to harm herself.

BBM:

If one assumes that SM did in fact disappear during a bike ride, then the lack of info being released is strange.

If one assumes that SM never went on a bike ride, then LE's silence makes all kinds of sense.

If one assumes that SM never went on a bike ride, then her family's silence also makes total sense.

I think LE has a pretty good idea of what's happened to SM.

And it wasn't a biking accident.

It could be too that they don't celebrate Mothers day. It could be she was missing earlier than Sunday...

We don’t have enough information about the situation to know for sure why she would’ve been alone on Mother’s Day.

Notice! I’m just giving an example here:

But, sometimes a lying cheating narcissist leaves his wife after the kids are grown and manipulates them in to believing that Mom,(insert any disparaging lie here . . . whatever he thinks should diminish his responsibility), resulting in the grown kids not talking to her, even on Mother’s Day. I speak from current personal experience.

Again we don’t know Suzanne’s family situation. It could be nothing at all like that. Maybe they celebrated Mother’s Day early.

Seriously, It sure makes you wonder just exactly what did LE tell 100 volunteer searchers that showed up on Monday to help look for SM....
I thought the 100 searchers were all LE of some sort, no "citizens/public" helping. I could be wrong.

Maybe I missed it, did her children talk to her Mothers Day?

There was an Instagram post on April 30, which was obviously Suzanne's birthday, from husband and with one of her daughters posting. Seems she is at university and so maybe lockdowned elsewhere from family home.

I find that interesting, because the colleges and universities in my neck of the world have all been closed and students have been sent home to finish out their semesters online.

I have a friend with a kid attending a state college in CO, and they also closed up their brick and mortar classrooms well over a month ago.

I am beginning to wonder if the neighbor saw her leave on her bike, and then went out somewhere shortly afterwards and came across the bike laying on the road or at the side of the road.

That could explain why the description of the bike isn't on the poster and why the neighbor is the one who called to report her missing.

No mention so far if her bike or helmet have been found.

I am afraid that this woman has been abducted.

I thought this also, until they announced the FBI & CBI are now involved in the case.

I just wanted to say I am so so sorry you are going through this. I work in the DV field and you are not alone! Please PM if you would like resources for parents in your situation. And hang in there!

But your post brings up another important point. There are some great families out there, but no perfect ones. Many families maintain a great image or keep their secrets very well. This family certainly may be as wonderful and wholesome as they seem. But sometimes even people close to you don't know what goes on behind closed doors.

I am also not ruling out a ransom note of some sort. That would explain the $100k "no questions asked", no volunteer searches, silent family, and tight-lipped LE.

Anyway, time will tell. But my hunch is things will develop fast in this case.

There are some Universities allowing very limited numbers to stay on campus if they can’t get home. Would seem this would not have been an issue for this family. I have a young relative who chose to stay at her off campus apartment because she would be alone rather than at home with the family of six where one parent has to continue to work. She felt it was safer and easier to study and focus.

If she had an off-campus apartment, she may be locked down there.

I have friends who work for the CSU system, some were furloughed. Others higher up the food chain are working from home, will be until after January 2021.

Damn another beautiful woman disappeared....grrrrrr!

I get so worn down by the stories of the Jennifer's, Kelsey's, Mollie's, Barbara's, Kenzie's, Samantha's and so very many others just out there living their lives and becoming victims. Not fair.

Holding out hope for Suzanne!

Aren’t most colleges finished by now for the semester? And it would have been online courses and plenty of room in that house to focus/study?

According to his instagram, Suzanne has "’beat cancer twice."

I wonder if SM had a distinctive bike and the neighbor recognized it lying along the road and called the sheriff?

From Google Earth it looks like only the Morphew home and one other home is in that immediate area.

The first photo below shows the Morphew home circled in red and the neighbors home circled in blue.

The 2nd photo shows the intersection (HWY 50 & Co. Rd. 225) where LE have the road blocked off and the red pin is the Morphew home.

I don't think there was a bike ride, either.

The bike ride story had to come from someone. But maybe it was a "she may have gone on a bike ride since it's a beautiful spring day," and not an absolute fact. There aren't many facts being made public, yet.

However, IF the family is not involved, and given the large reward, maybe there is a person from that area who the family is aware of. A stalker or something along those lines. Or a friend or neighbor who has been inappropriate with SM. Family knows someone has made SM uncomfortable, and now she's missing.

Someone came to her house, she answers the door, and ?
She actually went for a bike ride, she has a bike "accident," and ?

I don't have a problem with her being alone on Mother's Day, if that's how it was. In our family, if we are together on a holiday, great, but if not, no big deal.
