DeDe requiring immunity to talk to the Grand Jury?

Yeah, yeah---me too! This is big time! She's at the point where she's thinking she'd better save herself because it's all coming undone anyhow. Atleast that's what I think. They don't give immunity for little itty bitty stuff.

I really think with this new flyer LE & DA want 2 defendants in court. They already have some witnesses and want more to seal the deal.

But on the flip side the DA might be considering the immunity and that is why he needs even more witnesses. It could go either way but I know it would be more than difficult to grant immunity to someone who might be just as culpable as who they are indicting. The DA does not want to go down the road.

I didn't see an article chasing.halos but I saw the video and it wasn't DS's lawyer saying she wanted immunity. It was a retired (somebody, I didn't catch his exact title sorry!).

He was speculating that DS was going to ask for immunity. Not that she has yet. Good point.

I'll have to wait and see if she does. If she does, then that means IMHO she has some stink on her hands. It might not have to do with Kyron but it might.

I hear ya. It's just that what if they never solve this case without her testimony? Just this past week, we had a case here in Salinas where the guy killed his young, new wife because she was going to blow the whistle on his marijuana plants (many!) and the DA arrested him, and then the body surfaced, well part of it, Bay Area, north of Salinas about two hours. The guy hung himself in his jail cell and immunity was given to three people who helped him dispose of her body. Two of those three actually took her body and disposed of it, the third person (his current gf) helped him burn all her belongings. LE always said she wasn't involved.

I'm feeling that DS can kiss her immunity deal goodbye... They sent them flyers out with 3 different looks of her... The LE said "The flyers and questions were given to people who attended the science fair." Thats pretty damning in my eyes...

Let's hope those flyers bring something that LE can really sink their teeth into. It's way past time, huh?

i really hope le can seal the deal without giving anyone immunity. i really had no opinion about dds until she emerged from the gj with that cheshire cat grin on her face. i didnt get a good feeling about it. sorta seemed like she was laughing at the public... who does that in the middle of a search for a missing little boy? weird.

I'm with you on that one.....I thought that when she first appeared before the GJ that would be enough to enrage TH. This presser today that involved some DS ''stuff'' (for lack of a better word) was sweet revenge for TH.

I was hopeful that the ''possibility'' of DDS getting immunity would speed things up for TH coming clean but that didn't happen.

I doubt that there is much communication between DDS and TH now.

IMO the only way that DS will get immunity is if her testimony brings Kyron home. I agree that LE may not want it granted esp. when they found out about the 2nd person in the truck that morning. My question is do we know what time DS arrived at work on the farm that am? That info would be telling and of course, LE is very aware of that little bit. In my mind, they are trying to really sew it up and force the mystery person to spill it about where that baby is. The sooner the better. If I'm aching to know where he is, his parents must be almost ballistic. The thought of his little body...I can't go there without tears.

I think that it speaks volumes that this GJ is not about a MFH !! LE flat out said that there is NO evidence that Kyron is NOT alive... and seemed very confident about that...

good point newone... Could the "leak" about DS wanting immunity push Terri into revealing something..?? Cuz I think she is lying to her lawyer... Didn't she ask someone to lie to her lawyer..?? Being the article didn't get out until later today, maybe she has time to stew about it... Just thinkin' :angel:

The way it was explained to me was first to plead gets the ''deal'' so now that LE is adding more people to the ''mix'' (what a recipe) one would think that TH would be anxious to ''get the deal''. Now of course we have the LS on ice (is there actually such a person LOL -- need a spreadsheet to follow the characters here). So hopefully by turning up the heat slowly (it's been 2 months after all) someone is going to ask for a deal. (Keeping fingers crossed here) MOO

Terri Horman’s friend, DeDe Spicher, is cooperating with the police and is telling them the truth, her attorney Chad Stavley said Wednesday outside the Multnomah County Courthouse while working on an unrelated case.

The lead prosecutor heading the Kyron investigation said he is still trying to work with Spicher through her attorney but said he did not want to comment on whether he believes she is telling investigators everything.

“This is going to be up to the district attorney to look at DeDe Spicher and figure out what her criminal culpability is in this whole affair and decide, is she worth giving up in order to get someone else?” McCain said.

By giving up, McCain means forcing Spicher to testify and give up her right to silence. So far she has not given one word of testimony to the grand jury investigating Kyron’s disappearance.

I thought the flyer with the DS photos was distributed to the residents of the area near the school where they did some searches. They may have been at the science fair if they have school age children but they won't all have been there.

So, if we take Chad Stavely for his word and DS has told the truth, could we perhaps theorize that the information about where the truck was parked came from DS? And now they want witnesses to confirm her story?

I'm torn on this. I don't want to see anyone get away with something. However, IMO, if this can lead to knowing where Kyron is, or what happened to him, that is far more important. Especially if Kyron is alive somewhere, then if someone gets away with it - so be it. If something bad happened to him, then I think it's a much tougher call.

So, I guess I'm in the camp of giving her immunity and forcing her to tell what she knows. If it turns out not to be a lot, then move on to something more productive. If it turns out to be a lot, then they can move forward on the current path.

LE didn't specify the target area of residents that received the new flyer. a few local posters here on ws have said they know people on Old Germantown rd have received it.... there may be other areas of town where residents got the flyer but i haven't heard of any yet. hth

I hate the whole immunity crap. It rubs me the wrong way. If she is involved, then she should be punished for her involvement. On the other hand, IF she has information to lead to Kyron, then I understand granting her immunity for that information.

Bruce McCain, a former Multnomah County sheriff’s captain and current attorney...

This is all speculation on his part.

Last we heard was that DeDe was called to appear at the GJ but that she was never asked any questions, and that the GJ may call her again, but we have not heard that they have done that yet.

McCain implies that he knows something, when he technically should not have access to any of this information.

As far as we know, at this time the GJ doesn't feel she has any relevant information so hasn't called her back, meantime she is cooperating with LE and there is no need for immunity.

If neither of these women did anything with Kyron and they simply told the truth, they wouldn't need lawyers.
