MOTHER: Jodi has mental problems. Jodi would freak out all the time. I`ve had quite a few of her friends call me and tell me that I needed to get her some help. In fact, I had one call me in the middle of the night and tell me that she needed help. Jodi would call me -- we didn`t have a good relationship, me and Jodi.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Your husband kind of told me about the relationship.
MOTHER: She would call me in the morning all happy, and call me an hour or two later in tears, crying and sobbing about something she didn`t want to talk about. And that happened constantly, and her friends thought -- too -- I had one friend call me in the middle of the night, and he even called a hotline for bipolar people and said Jodi is bipolar and she needs help. And that`s when we talked her into coming back here so she could be around family.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She just shut down, she completely shut down. I was hoping maybe she`d at least tell me why, but she just -- you know, I guess it`s the same treatment you have been getting for the last I don`t know how many years, you know. Just nothing.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I mean, it`s just like a straight face. Nothing there. I keep telling, I mean, I told her one time when she called me and started yelling. I said, you know what, have ever thought of yourself as being bipolar? Oh my God, she cried, she cried, hysterically, and she called back and I hung up on her. That`s what I do when she starts going off on me. I just hang up. And she called up and kept calling and kept calling and kept calling until I could tell her no, I was just kidding. I told my wife, I said, you know, I think I hit a fine tooth there.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It is kind of strange.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That is just the way she`s been. When she was in Palm Desert after that, man, that`s when everything, I don`t know what, it`s been a couple years then. She`s been a little crazy for a year. It`s been longer than that. All I think about is when she moved to Palm Desert, because you know, she started using credit cards to make her $3,000 a month payments. Because she lost her job or something, and then she got just financially in debt.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That`s not good. She hasn`t been in a good situation in a while then.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No. It`s been bad.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, this Travis guy, I guess helped her out quite a bit.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: As far as I know, but I do know that one day when she called me crying hysterically when she decided to move to Mesa, Arizona, she snuck up to his house and she looked in the window and she saw him there on the couch with another woman. And she was planning on marrying this guy. So she just left. But then she stayed there for I don`t know how many months.
(CROSSTALK)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She couldn`t explain it either. I said, you guys are broken up, why don`t you just leave? Why don`t you go home? Why don`t you -- she said well, I didn`t. I just didn`t. And she could not tell me why.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Jodi would not let anybody say anything to discredit him either, because I did say a few things after she told me that he was with another girl. I said you need to get the hell out of that town and leave that guy alone.
(CROSSTALK)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Every time I called her, she was over at his house. Every time I called her. She would say, he is letting me use his computer. She was all over there and she was in there cleaning his house, she was all over the place in there. I said, but -- she said he wasn`t dealing with any women that I know of, and I think any time maybe he went out with a woman or something or she kind of had a suspicion, that is my thought.
Somebody called her and she got a little hysterical and quit her job. Well, she called up and said she wasn`t coming in.
