Well said! Regarding sharks-I was just thinking, though, what about clothing? i.e.: I suppose some would be ingested, sorry to say that of course, but would bits show up ? I guess depends how far out it may have happened if that’s what occurred, ugh. Sorry to say and sorry if someone already has!
That is a very good point!

same as to why was Natalies body never found in Aruba. I do think he took her way out to sea in a boat but still

I was surprised when investigators said if she drowned her body should wash up quickly. I always imagined the ocean being a place in which a body would not wash up or be found.

I did read that when you die from drowning gases released from the body can cause floating to the surface

Unless it got caught by something in the water perhaps?

I know they can be found even when weighted down in some cases

What experts said this? I would think giving the location that is just as much likelihood that currents would pull a body further out to sea. One of the drowning victims from this area in January was never found.

I think there may be some netted border in the ocean, near the buoys area. They assume that she should have been caught up there. Truth is, we don't know, and nothing is ever 100%.

Unfortunately, we have drownings almost every year here in Myrtle Beach. If I had to guess, I’d say 10-15% of those who go missing in the water are never recovered. While MB is obviously not the Dominican Republic, we do share the same ocean.

I think so much of it — whether a body is recovered or not — depends on the tide level, the rate of currents, and how quickly search and rescue were mobilized after the last sighting. Sadly, those last seen in the water at night are the least likely to be found.

I hate it for this young woman’s family. The not knowing has to be the worst torture imaginable.

I would have to look it up but it was in one of the mainstream articles posted in these threads.

Yes, that is also true of lakes because missing Shantina Smiley was presumed to have drowned in Puget Sound over a decade ago and her body was never found.

I'm curious the history of the area in regards to drownings.

LE would know the stats, ie: hypothetically, if there have been 30 drownings in the last 5-10 years, have they ALL washed ashore. If they have all washed ashore typically and Sudiksha hasn't - I would be suspicious.

I try to put myself in the situation. If I was extremely intoxicated and LE wanted to question me about similar events, I would be dead honest.

I would say I don't remember this and that , I think I blacked out and it might come to me hopefully in a day, or let me try being hypnotized or something! I still don't like the various stories with the last one being heroic... something not genuine there to me. JMO, MOO

Was he questioned in English or in Spanish through an interpreter? If it was in English then the question is how fluent was the officer doing the questioning; some words don’t have a direct translation especially legal terms

Same with the interpreter (if they used one), was he familiar with legal terms, etc.

Is it legal to interrogate someone under the influence? I understand time is of the essence but it can always be disputed he was not fit to answer questions

It wasn't moments after she was last seen, it was 8:54 am

I also wonder what he said to his friend. Her family deserves to know the full truth, even if he had to admit he was just too scared to alert authorities but now wishes he had, etc. IMO.

Puget Sound is NOT a lake. It is saltwater - a collection of bays and other waterways connected to the Pacific Ocean.

I would be interested in hearing that as well.
*Sigh*
Do not know if we'll ever know what happened to Sudiksha.
Sorry for her family !!!
Omo.
