Interesting that the 3rd triplet looks quite a bit different to her 2 sisters.

Not saying it is the case here but it's possible to have triplets where two are identical twins and the other is non-identical.

Yes, it looks like they are mixed triplets. Where 2 are identical. Seems they dressed quite similar too and the other sister had more of her own look. Her Facebook showed a picture of her getting married in 2021, so sounds like she perhaps was more independent from them.

Thinking of the possibility that the sisters' final text message sent on this earth might have been to a landlord and not to their parents or siblings. It must be devastating for the family :-(

I cannot understand why, if suicide, their final act on this earth was to send a text message to their landlady, and it was so important that they took one phone with them to do so. Neither of them told work they were leaving (annual leave is only temporary), so it’s not that they were fully preparing for their departure.

They might've had the same landlady for the last 7 years so perhaps felt quite close to her. Our landlord is a friend really, I'd text him if we were going to off ourselves, wouldn't want him worrying about the money weeks later when it hasn't appeared. And fwiw he does walk right in my house, I saw earlier discussion about how bad that is but as I said he was a friend first so he's always welcome to just turn up. He would be at my house as soon as he saw that text. He would be rightfully worried, not for his bank balance, but for us.

I wouldn't bother telling costa or holiday inn? that I wouldn't be back eitehr, like those big corps care! And what exactly would you say to your workmates? Keep it normal and walk out.

They might have been very close/friendly with the landlady and perhaps they hated their jobs and work colleagues.

That thought crossed my mind too. But what we don't know is what their state of mind was like leading up to their disappearance or if they were under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time. I can't imagine what my thought processes would be if i knew I was in my final minutes of life or how rational I would be thinking and behaving.

We know what the family has reported, just feels like there’s probably some other history here.

Could the rucksacks they had during the day have been filled with weight/rocks and they planned to jump from the bridge then, but decided against it and agreed on another way (walking in at the boat club, perhaps after consuming alcohol/pills)? And in the meantime they left the filled rucksacks at the flat which would have caused alarm. That may also fit with the "materials" wording used?

I think they have texted out of courtesy to the landlady rather than to be traced to that location. And agree with some others in that I think the timing was because they weren't sure they would go through with it until last-minute and also to avoid questions about why. That would also explain not handing in notice at work and just booking leave.

They seem like very courteous but also very private, conflict-avoidant people.

All just my opinion.

This reminds me in some way of the tragic case where a mum and daughter took their own lives at a premier inn in Greenock. It turns out they were being scammed. It was a truly bizarre and absolutely heartbreaking story.
I do believe something was going out to make these girls behave like this and I do believe they both entered the water. MOO .

I wonder if they went walking there regularly. A lot of people go walking on the same routes regularly. Going along the riverside along there and back up to the next bridge then up South College Street is a full loop.

I believe their earlier visit to the bridge doesn't make sense as them coming home from work - wrong direction. I don't think it's too unusual for police to take a case of two missing women seriously when there's evidence they came to harm. Them texting at that time to say they were not returning, yet not removing their belongings from the flat, is worrying enough for the police to investigate.

My reading of today’s reports is that the sisters told the landlady by text, at 2:12 am, that they no longer needed the apartment but the next morning, she found personal possessions inside that she wouldn’t expect them to leave behind. She may have known them well enough to feel that they wouldn’t have left those personal items in the apartment after saying they’d vacated it.
