Unbelievable that there was DNA that wasn’t tested.

Sounds like they maybe didn't know they had DNA (that an item contained DNA). If that's the case, thank goodness it was preserved. Perhaps advancements in testing have made testing possible in a way it hadn't been possible or even detected.

I hope it leads to an arrest.

Apologies if this has been discussed recently. I left off on this case a few years ago and haven’t quite caught up.

IF they do actually have some DNA in possession that hasn’t yet been tested, is this a case where they would do that method of building out a family tree using a DNA database?

Even if they can, I have to think it would be of limited help if the perp was a migrant worker, which I think is highly possible. Sadly.

For what it’s worth the attorney doesn’t think it’s a migrant worker. He thinks the perp is still in the US. He said that in the interview that was just posted.

It's frustrating they couldn't narrow anything down from the footage, at least so far. 🫠 The perp got way too lucky.

Regardless of whether it's someone connected to her personal life or her job, or a worker (migrant or not), you'd think the build would've helped narrow it down ... fairly short for a male (I know some people speculate about a woman, but it looks like a short male to me build wise.) I'm glad to hear it's not considered cold anymore and I hope there will be an arrest some point soon.

Yes it is. The attorney talks about this. He said no one can agree on what they see in the poi photos. They aren’t even sure if the poi is a male or female. They have also thrown out the height estimate. The attorney said he thinks the poi could be tall like he is and he’s 6 ft. There is also the debate on if the poi has on some sort of hat or head covering or if it’s just hair. Then there is the fact that the camera distorts color and the clothing may not be all white. They also claim the poi isn’t on any other cameras in the area so that’s frustrating as well.
