It's a "Concealed Weapon or Firearm License", at least that's what mine says across the top. You cannot be a felon, or have any charges of violence or illegal drugs, have any injunctions for domestic violence (active) or be dishonorably discharged from the armed forces. Guess that rules our pal DS out for having one. But, what about pops?

If anything LE should feel more at easy about going to serve a search warrant at such a home... Me I'd want the swat team for the crack house not some home where the owner has had a background check, finger printed, and is known to be a upstanding citizen...

Since he was also remarried in 2000 until 2001, at what point in there was he in the military and would there be separate records for whatever occured there that got him dishonourably discharged? Since the article mentioned the domestic battery, was he in the military during his first and second marriages? :waitasec:

I do not know when he was in the military, but unless he was stationed in Orange County, then those records would not be on the Orange County Clerks site, that I posted above. I am not sure if those charges would be filed in regular courts where he was stationed or if they would be filed via military courts. I am not familiar with how the military treats crime amoung enlisted members so not sure. But if we knew where he was stationed, it would be a start, we could check records from that city or county (if the county/city has online records).

Just wanted to know if we're assuming Dale Jr has a CWP or did we find proof of this.. My reason for asking is not that I'm doubting anyone but after seeing his record I do really question how that would be possible?? *shrug*.. but maybe Florida's requirements are more lenient than they are here??idk??

Patty G, how about the $2,000,000. reward in the Whitey Bulger case that was recently paid to a former Miss Iceland? I read about it in The Boston Globe, and I believe the date was October 9, 2011.

I did read about that particular case, but I never classified Bulger in the same category as missing children, etc. In that case, he was hiding from everyone, whereas the missing children and adults, mostly are missing because someone MADE them go missing. The rewards paid out to find a child or an adult safe are rare, if ever.

Agreed, that's why the sister's remark about SWAT being "protocol" when serving a search warrant on a house with CWP doesn't sound right to me. IMO there was another reason for that's not been released yet.

2nd wife was from Wilmington, NC and went to school in Greenville, NC at ECU. My guess is DS was stationed in North Carolina at New River (Jacksonville, NC), Cherry Point (Havelock, NC), or Camp Lejeune (Onslow, NC). Just a guess

Just found a VOP for DS Sr. from 1982 on a petit theft charge. 60 days in jail. Looks like he appealed & it was denied.

I didn't have time to look all of these up on the clerk of court website and until someone does an actual criminal history check using DOBs, none of this can be 100% accurate as to if they belong to Sr or Jr (or even another DS-there were several others w/o a middle initial).
