It's a culture and sect issue, as well as elitist and classist. As in "WE are not like THEM." Particularly prevalent in the wealthy Arab nations. And then there's that tolerance thingy-- all the islamic nations are in the same religious "club", and the wealthy moderates are loathe to criticize the radicalized factions. Kind of a live and let live philosophy "inshallah", but just don't bring your radical terrorism to the wealthy arab nations. (NIMBY principle.)

Exactly! And that is my point. Such a huge Muslim population scattered throughout the world. Stand together. Stand united. Put all the other crap aside.

Just how does this goverment plan to pay for all the refugees?
The goverment doesn't have any money, they can't just print more.
Our schools are terrible, our medical insurance is a wreck, unemployment is already high for the legal citizens.
Where will the jobs come from for all these people?

and healthcare, disease, crime rate, welfare.................PA is a state willing to take them, sorry I sure do not need more taxes etc. Teddy Roosevelt said that there is only room in USA for law abiding people, 1 flag, 1 language which will be English etc....................I agree. My people came here with proper shots etc, had a job waiting for them, spoke only English, dressed like USA, became citizens and fought in WWII, Korea and Nam..................

Shucks, thanks CW. That may not have been my first post but it's the only welcome and welcome wagon I've had!

Gosh - the threads I'm used to it's always done - it encourages people to post and is just a nice firendly thing to do.
And in the light of the horror of these events - a few emojis and a bit of humour - everything helps.

i'm trying to visualise what kind of punishment I want for these people - when convicted - death penalty doesn't work - makes them martyrs........

ISIS responds to Anonymous hackers threat

A Telegram channel that's believed to be affiliated with ISIS hackers then sent out a message to its followers instructing them how to prevent getting hacked by Anonymous.

"The #Anonymous hackers threatened in new video release that they will carry out a major hack operation on the Islamic State (idiots)," the statement read in part.

Hey, I have an idea! Let's just put them all in internment camps until 'The War on Terror' is over. Wait, we did that in Australia with the Germans, Japanese and Italians. I remember it because my Italian Grandfather was separated from his Australian wife, my Grandmother, and his children, my Father and my Aunt. They lived in poverty throughout the time he was there because he lost his job and their neighbours turned their backs on them. Their family never got over it and my Grandfather was never the same. Nup, scrub that idea, then.

Putin has said he will work DIRECTLY with the French forces targeting ISIS- eg with the French air carrier heading there.

Germany has said they are not going to take part in current air strikes as there are already 16 nations taking part.

Amongst the dead - 12 people still not identified. You can feel the torment their friends and families are going through.

1. Taxpayers will pay, as they always do.
2. Our govt will just tax us more, and print more money if they have to.
3. Our schools are just fine, and we have lots of standardized tests to prove it. (lol.)
4. No one knows what medical care costs anyway, and hey-- it's all free now with Obamacare (unless you actually have a job and pay for your insurance, then it costs a lot more than it used to before Obamacare).
5. No one should ever expect the imported refugees to ever work or pay taxes. That's ridiculous.

IMO. We have no problems that cannot be solved by simply creating more government programs, welcoming and financially supporting every person on earth who wants to come here, and taxing the ever-shrinking pool of tax payers. Right? <sarc>

Thank you!
That's just what I thought, I just needed someone smarter than me to lay it out!
Yes you are right lol

There is no satisfactory punishment. This is the most frustrating thing about the group.

Whatever we do if we catch them, we cannot make them martyrs in life or in death. And we must ignore, dehumanize, and marginalize them in their deaths as much as possible in the media-- no articles about who they were, etc. The only thing media should call them is murderer or terrorist--no names. Quick cremation or anonymous and hurried burial, after we forensically process the corpses of the terrorists. No ceremonies or dignity. They do not deserve the dignity they denied to their victims, even in death, IMO. Once dead, IMO they are just a carcass we need to dispose of.

There is no "saving" the terrorists. If we catch them alive, we should get all the info out of them we can, and then they should never be allowed out of max security prison again. And really there is no way to punish them adequately, short of torture or humiliation-- which most civilized people find abhorrent, even for terrorists. Once radicalized, they are sub-human and lost forever, IMO. We just need to store them away cheaply and anonymously for some years till they die. I'm just fine with a lifetime of solitary confinement and a boring and minimal diet for these animals. Or a swift death penalty-- I'm fine with that, too.

Isabelle is right-- there is no "punishment" for them-- so I think we just need to figure out what works for us cheaply and securely, to manage and store their sorry hides till they die.

I do appreciate it CW. Polar opposite from my first ever post on WS. I agree, a little smiley and a bit of humour is welcome when the world is so ugly. A kind word to someone who is normally shied away from goes a long way to ease hearts, too.

As for the rest, I think the 'Man Upstairs' will take care of that and I don't think it will involve 'a multitude of maidens' somehow.

Thanks for link Isabelle.
snipped from link

The majority of them are in the New Orleans area, but one came to Baton Rouge. WBRZ has learned Catholic Charities helped the refugee who settled in Baton Rouge, but said the immigrant left for another state after a couple of days, and they don't know where the refugee went since they don't track them.

bbm

So how do they know this person is missing if they don't track them or follow up with them?
Is there some big event happening in that area any time soon?

I just read another person jumped/fell overboard, (again). I say just drop them off in the middle of the ocean and tell them good luck finding osama. :)

....but your grandfather's countrymen were not involved in decapitaions, suicide bombings and terror.

And again, I am torn. As a human and humanitarian I feel that we must help. We must be compassionate. The question is, how do we do this without putting ourselves in harm's way? IMO
