Yep, they're going with the MMs had reason to believe AA stole the thousands of dollars worth of stuff out of E's boat. It really is very much too bad English couldn't be forced to testify in court.

He did the right thing the first time calling 911, why didn't he do that a second time?

I can't believe how un-straightforward this account is of what happened that night.

Yes, I am irritated as well.

Gough is so whacky and annoying it's almost like he's some made up character in a movie. And the funny thing is, he KNOWS he's annoying and whacky. Even the judge looks at Gough with a smirk because he knows damn near everything Gough comes up with is a waste of breath.

Half the neighborhood was volunteering to "help" him catch the "intruder." And he was all in, including by participating on the neighborhood's FB page. Also, I wonder if it occurred to him ( he is an atty, iirc) that he might have some liability for keeping his property wide open, even after "intruders" kept on coming onto it.

a reasonable and prudent person . . .

Sir, there were none present that day. MOO

I can't listen to this... It ridiculous. The police should have told them to stand down. It is the police job to make arrest. These yahoos could arrest a paper bag without smashing it. Without evidence they murdered him. Call the police and go back in your house, if you are so scared of the black man.

TM's attorney keeps reminding us of the single father, doting hard working young man trained, blah blah. Uggh

Thanks...I'm trying to watch 2 trials... :) Can't keep up,,

Same here, but I finally gave up on the first one I've been watching because I don't think any Perry Mason moments are going to change anything at this point. I replay that one tonight and keep with this one.

It's a defense attorney's tactic, to humanize as much as possible.

This unusual attorney is literally making the prosecution's case for them. TM and GM recognize that this is THE guy. It's THE guy. They know about THIS guy.

I get that it's his job, but doesn't taste any better knowing it. Shrug

The problem the MMs (better!) have is that Rash told them 2 weeks before they killed AA, that English himself had said AA hadn't stolen anything from him.

now attorney is arguing that AA didn't say anything when confronted. Shame on him. He could easily have prevented his own death had he just answered TM. I am going to have to stop listening - my BP can't take this nonsense.

If someone I don't know comes up to me and tries to arrest me, for whatever reason they make up...I'm going to put up a fight. No one is going to take me. Period.

  • #756
At no time did AA brandish a gun. Never.

Don't you think if you are being chased a 3 men with guns...you would pull yours out?

Yes, the citizens arrest thing is too risky.

Think about the fact GM had no problem telling LE he had screamed at AA to stop or he'd blow his head off. And that all 3 of them believed the videotape of the murder would *exonerate* them. Imo it's clear as day that all 3 believed, as did Barnhill, it was their right to order AA to comply with their demands, and that the fact he didn't was evidence of his guilt & of *his* "aggression."
