Watch Live: Murder Trial in Ahmaud Arbery Shooting Death

Just want to add: Similar to concerns others have posted, I worry that jurors are members of same culture represented by the McMichaels, Bryan and atty Gough. This verdict is important to our society in many ways.

Yes, I am also concerned about the culture these jurors come from----- to me this case it cut and dried- black and white- no question he was gunned down in cold blood for no reason and honestly, I can't understand how anybody could see it any other way-

His statement/interview has never been made available to the public.

I'm assuming your question about prob cause is rhetorical, then, but if not, can't think of another way to explain why the video answers the question.

Yeah, I think, for some reason, be it assumptions or whatever, my original premise for what wanted to know is lost from several posts back.

I have been asking all along for TM's statement because he is the one who linked his probable cause to albenze. I did want to recall what GM said, but I already looked at his statement for myself. I can't find TM's.

You say there is none published, okay then.

Thanks for trying to help. We can leave it there.

I am worried about why they wanted to see that video. If they acquit on murder charges for them, I will be be heartbroken.
Not worried about jury asking to review video. This is common for juries who want to firm up their decision just before announcing a verdict. We will see. IMO the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow may be an influencer for them to reach verdict today. Maybe just after lunch?

LOL...The Pizza Trick didn't work last week in the trial I watched. I think it was the day after pizza before they arrived at a verdict. Let's hope that was an oddity.

ITA and there will be no justice if any other verdict is reached (other than Guilty)

um, not sure if somethings happening or not. scene has changed from exterior shot of courthouse on 11 Alive stream to the flag inside courtroom. No audio so unsure if the jury has asked to see something else and they are waiting to assemble the attorneys and judge or what . . .

Maybe someone just got tired of showing the outdoor shot? not sure.

Court staff alert us that the #AhmaudArbery shooting case jury is about to eat lunch. We don't know yet if they'll work through lunch, as they did Tuesday, or pause deliberations.

When conducting a citizens arrest, would the citizen have to inform the person they are attempting to detain that it is a citizens arrest? Don’t the police have to identify themselves as police if they are in plain clothes? Like how would Ahmaud have known that they were trying to detain him? (Not that I believe they were trying to detain him or that they had grounds to arrest him, just curious)
There is no requirement to say anything in particular, which shows that the law isn't meant for minot crimes. If you see someone kill someone else you wouldn't say anything before tackling them or firing back. Obviously was meant for burglary when you catch someone in the actual act of being a burglar. Not some dubious think they might situation. It should be obvious to all involved why you are doing it.

Good thing Georgia has since gotten rid of the citizen's arrest law.

Makes sense. They need to do away with laws like this in every state. They are rooted in racism.

So... maybe in about 1/2 hour there will be a verdict - after they finish their lunch!?

Mine is muted because my bigger parrot (not the one in my pic) is on my shoulder and even though he is an older guy, lately he has started hearing and learning new sounds. I’d prefer he not start saying clang! all day.

In the old slave states they have cultural tale that supports it.
Just like the west has pioneers, the east has patriots, while midwest has mountain men and rivermen.
In the south "patrollers" made sure no slaves escaped generally anywhere and chased them down. Long history of that, and the "enforcement" arguments that went with it, i.e "dirty toenails."
