I asked earlier about those allegations and another poster helpfully pointed out that the (under construction) house AA was seen walking around in was not the one where the fishing equipment was stolen.

Am interested in seeing the police report that was filed by the owner; and what is the name of the house owner on the insurance claim filed for the missing property ?
I'm assuming they filed a police report and made a claim to their insurance provider ?
That's a lot of equipment to carry away.
Was it caught on security cams ?

It was actually the Daily Beast. It was discussed yesterday about the conflicting report from the DB and English (the owner of the property under construction)

IIRC it was posted earlier that, other than a January 1 report of a gun being stolen from a vehicle, there have been no police reports of burglaries in the neighbourhood and the home owner where fishing equipment was allegedly stolen did not file an insurance claim.

ETA: The Glynn County Police Department said Thursday that it had no reports involving burglaries or home break-ins in the Satilla Shores neighborhood between Jan. 1 and Feb. 23. However, local media reported that one burglary, an automobile burglary, was reported to police in the Satilla Shores neighborhood during that time.

According to what I read there was no report of the stolen fishing equipment, so there may not be evidence of the theft at all.

The Washington Post is the source that interviewed Larry English, the owner of the house under construction. He clarified that there was never anything stolen from the house.

There's nothing mysterious about them. It's out there in the msm that Arbery had a criminal record, that there is CCTV footage dating back to last October of someone who looks very like Arbery trespassing on the grounds of the house under construction at least four times late at night, that the house owner claims to have had $2,500 worth of fishing equipment stolen, and that McMichael senior had been involved in a previous investigation into Arbery for stealing a television.

Whether that will amount to reasonable suspicion allowing them the legal right to affect a citizen's arrest will be for a jury to decide.

There is no way that these killers knew that Mr. Arbery had a criminal record just by his running by them. In the realm of the world a lot of people look like each other so a CCTV footage from 4 months prior that had not been reviewed by them before the chased him seems like a stretch. The owner of the house has stated again and again (sources are on this thread) that he did not have fishing equipment or anything else stolen. The only thing that seems to be born out that you mention is the older man riding with his gun in the bed of the pickup did investigate Mr. Arbery in the past. None of this leads to reasonable suspicion because they did not see him commit a felony crime. The older man who was a former detective would have known that there was no felony committed (as per his training). I think he hoped that turning Mr. Arbery over after he was murdered would have yielded a gun which might have made a possible felony. He saw no items stolen. In the original 911 call, the person who called was unable to pin a felony on the unidentified runner.

However, from what media sources have stated this theft, it was never reported.

I will add a link if I can find the police report of this robbery and if there's anyone here savvy with insurance claims --maybe they can find out if a claim was indeed filed for the theft ?
And what the description of the suspect was ?

I haven't found any MSM articles that state Arbery resembles an individual captured on video at the construction site at night or on any other day aside from the day of the shooting. I would love to see those links. So far I have only been able to find lots of instances that GM SAID to officers responding to the shooting that was the case.

Is there any independent or corroborating information about these alleged nighttime trespass instances of Arbery or an individual resembling him in anywhere in MSM? Because the property owner himself states otherwise here:

The person who owned the home under construction never claimed that he had fishing equipment stolen. He specifically told the Post that he never had anything stolen from the premises.

The fact that someone has a criminal record still does not warrant a citizens arrest. Being involved in a previous investigation does not justify one, either.

Are you sure Georgia allows the arrest of a citizen by another citizen at any time after they are "suspected" of committing a crime? That doesn't make sense.

English stated that he has only seen the unknown male trespassing and "plundering around" and has not seen him taking anything.

Sounds pretty harmless to me. He observed him multiple times but never saw him attempt to steal anything.

He told the post that that report was inaccurate and he never said he had anything stolen, which is the same thing stated earlier in the police report.

I think I believe the Washington Post over the "Daily Beast." I've never even heard of them. And I thought the Daily Mail was bad.

So English was aware (due to phone alerts ap) that someone was trespassing at night on his under construction property.

In addition the docs shown in the tweet state that TM was the person who reported at least this instance of trespass at night and that police then contacted the property owner L. English who stated so far he has noticed some trespassing incidents lately but found nothing stolen in them and so felt no need to report to police.

So it appears English was telling the truth when he told reporters he's never had anything stolen from his property and never made any police reports about trespassing. The Ms were the ones most concerned about the presence of AA in their neighborhood. Not the property owner himself.

Well, I just looked at some reviews and so far I read they were "garbage", "a joke" and one person said they would give them a zero but there wasn't an option.

I don't think they made it up, I think they just "assumed."

If I actually lived in the neighborhood, rather than only having a construction site there and living over an hour away in Douglas, Ga, I'd probably be more concerned, as well. I think it may have been Barnhill who told them about the fishing equipment that was stolen. They include it in the summary of what he said about the police report and then later they quote English.
