Alex Jones, Ronna McDaniel potential witnesses in Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro's Georgia trial
The Georgia prosecutor who has accused former President Donald Trump and others of trying to illegally overturn the 2020 presidential election in the state is seeking to call Republican Party Chair Ronna McDaniel and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones as witnesses in a trial for two of the...www.wsbtv.com
"Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Monday filed paperwork required to compel the testimony from an out-of-state witness, documents that function like a subpoena, for three people — McDaniel, Jones and Andrew Hitt, who was chairman of the Wisconsin Republican Party in late 2020."

"At a hearing Tuesday, McAfee heard arguments on several motions filed by Chesebro. One seeks to dismiss the indictment as a violation of the U.S. Constitution's Supremacy Clause. A second argues Chesebro's actions outlined in the indictment were protected by the First Amendment, so the indictment should be dismissed. The judge didn't immediately rule on either motion but indicated that the arguments advanced by Chesebro's attorneys may be procedurally improper for pretrial motions.
A third motion argued that any legal memos or correspondence between Chesebro and the Trump campaign, which was his client in the aftermath of the 2020 election, should be excluded. McAfee grilled the lawyers for both sides on this issue and asked them to provide additional information to help him make a decision."
Maybe to complete all the general instructions, first round of weeding out people who cannot be part of a long jury, fill out questionnaires, etc., and then start ready-to-go on Monday. Now I see this article has the 10/20 date...
A group of 450 potential jurors has been instructed to show up on Oct. 20 to begin the process of seating a jury.
Why on a Friday, and not on a Monday... I am going to go with the Judge's calendar.

Could very well be. I'm just going by my experience being in a jury pool for a six-week civil case. There was at least a day of instructions and questionnaires. I was not selected but went through a few days of the winnowing process. The first day and part of the second were spent in a general room without the judge. Later, we were in the courtroom and the judge was there. That could be - but would it not be on the Judge's calendar? He has nothing on that Friday, 10/20. I would assume HE would be in the court room....
The initial alert I got on my phone said the fire was at the courthouse@Niner

I found your post very humorouis!!!! Bigly humorousOnly a small outside fire? Or one in the actual courthouse? I’ve read both.
Does this mean that Trump neglected to hire the BEST arsonist? An arsonist like no one’s ever seen? An arsonist whom many people say is a beautiful arsonist who sets amazing fires?
Joking, joking, don’t come at me!

snipped and bbmThat means jurors deciding how much Giuliani should pay two Georgia election workers he defamed will be told they can assume the worst about why the former New York City mayor has failed to turn over the court-ordered records.
