BD said he spoke to his father on Thursday and was the last time he spoke to him before his death
don't know about towels, curious too!
SS didn't think anything was compromised, but we don't know that do we? HOw can he know, everyone was all over that house and garage before investigation began
I had wondered if she was up early, maybe on the upper patio having coffee that morning before or at sunrise
Like you I wondered if RD heard her and went to see if she was ok
There is no evidence the garage was THE CRIME SCENE but definitely was where the beheading occurred.
IF she was tortured or beaten, you say she
my GOD< if they killed either one of them at another location and brought them back
helk yeah!! IT was NOT drugs, or thrill kill...…….someone KNEW THEM WELL
very very very meticulously planned!!
confused the WHOLE investigation, someone did NOT WANT TO BE CAUGHT
who would want that so badly and be in their right mind to prevent detection with all this confusion and work?!?
I still struggle to accept that this double homicide had a financial gain motive. Nothing was taken! There were a Lincoln and a Lexus in the garage, jewelry, cash and credit cards, a purported whiskey collection, electronics and so on and so forth. And it would be redundant to point out how distribution of estate proceeds would have been delayed upwards of a calendar year (thank you IRS!). No one stood to garner any immediate financial gain. So what does that leave us? Shaking our collective heads because we're back to the question who brutally murders an elderly couple and why? I will say this: if a financial motive exists then there must have been previous attempts to procure money that were rebuffed, and the matter escalated. But don't you think the Dermonds would have revealed this to someone?
Just thinking about this horrible murder. I'm thinking this all started out in the house so maybe someone got into the garage and SD heard a noise and went to check it out. When she opened the door to the garage she was grabbed and screamed, RD hears the scream and comes down to see if SD had fallen or something. The killers already have knocked SD out or maybe even killed her, they grab RD and throw him next to SD where he's holding onto her ( her hair in his fingernails) SD not moving they shoot RD and drag him away from SD to behead him and take SD out of the garage and bring her to the boat ( they could have waited hours until dusk to do this but had to separate them to behead him) Once RD's head was removed they left the house with his head in a bag, headed for the boat and along their travels they got rid of her body and his head. Possibly they took his head and removed the bullet and destroyed his head after they dumped SD in the lake.
Things I think are important to know.
1 Were the towels used belong to the Dermonds ? the kids should know this
2. When and who was the last person to call the house and speak to someone? This is very important for establishing a timeline
3. Were there any footprints found in the garage? Could tell possible height of the murderers or the amount of people there. This might be impossible to establish since i'm sure they contaminated the crime scene with multiple officers going into the garage before they dusted for prints. No garage is that clean to where there is no dust on the floors.
I don't know maybe none of this makes sense i'm curious to hear comments and opinions as to how this went down
