That might be a question best left unanswered.

I didn't mean anything disrespectful by my question.. as to how the dogs were getting fed. However, I did go back and edit my post as I, or any others really might not want the answer. Sorry. I train German Shepard's and they are very protective when it comes to territory and owners. MOO

They are the address on the affidavit and Google map/Google earth do you want me to link the actual address

Unless the Google logo appears on the images themselves, we need whatever the URL address is that the images came from. A URL is best because that way members themselves can click on the link and go directly to the location. That way another member might scroll around the location and find something that they find of interest.

Now, I am freaking out if I can't reach my elderly mother every other day.

I didn't take it as disrespectful at all.

I can picture an exuberant Guy doing that and Gene welcoming him.
Very sweet.

"Its owner, Kathleen O’Brien, 61, told DailyMail.com: “I’ve known Gene and his wife for over 30 years. He was a beloved, beloved regular of ours.”

"She recalled an encounter in 2008 when Gene visited Harry’s Roadhouse as Guy Fieri was filming an episode of ‘Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives’.
Kathleen added: “That was crazy. They were taping, and Gene happened to be coming in for a business meeting for a book he was writing.
“One of Guy’s assistants came running into the kitchen as they were shooting, and said, ‘Guy, Gene Hackman is here!’ “Guy Fieri ran right out of the kitchen and grabbed Gene, and they sat down at the counter and had a conversation for 45 minutes.”

A house that size is a lot of work. They were reclusive, but not anti-social. Three dogs and an elderly husband and plenty of money. Surely they hired help.

I’m an animal lover, certainly not blaming the dogs but this article is worth pondering while we await the final autopsy results.

One of my friends fell backward over his dog, breaking his hip and a neighbour broke her shoulder while walking a dog for a friend.

My little Cavalier got excited, pulled his leash around my ankles and pulled quickly.

I was found unconscious on the road, had a terrible concussion for over a year.

Something to add to the conversation, perhaps.

I'm guessing they will autopsy the deceased dog. They definitely should. It's hard to believe a healthy dog the size of a GSD would just stay in a crate for days and days and die. No mention of the condition of the crate. I have had malamutes destroy a crate to get out of it when there.was a reason. A 50lb female Samoyed also, tear up a Kong crate which are supposed to be heavy duty. This is another mystery. Was that dog sick, drugged, or was it already deceased before the couple died.

That was so awesome.I dont think I have ever seen a tribute to one person like that at the oscar's. Not counting when they are honoring specific legends like they did for Qunicy Jones. Usually they just squeeze you into the memorium. Goes to show how respected he was and he must have treated people like gold, or they wouldnt have gone out of their way like that.

"Santa Fe County Animal Control has been tasked with “ensuring the safety of the two dogs" in coordination with the victims' families, according to the sheriff's press release. Autopsy reports are still being performed on the two bodies and the deceased dog to determine the cause of death."

Gene Hackmans films will have a short lived rebirth for awhile.
And his paintings will go up in value :)

I wondered about this too. If they had any regularly scheduled household help, meals, help with dogs, healthcare visits like physical therapy if Gene had mobility issues, etc. All that all would be a lot for one woman

I made the comment wondering about mental decline. It is definitely something to consider, given his friends have said his health was declining recently, and that in some cases, mental decline can happen as you age. Is that being ageist, or realising it could be a possibility, given what we know? Regardless, I own the comment and stand by it.

As for the apparent lack of regular (weekly, if not more often) outside help, I get that too. In my experience, elderly people can (again, not always) be set in their ways and want to continue their life the way they have created it. It can be hard to admit you're not the strong, fit, capable person you used to be. In this scenario, where we have 2 people who liked to live a quiet life and were treated just like locals in their town, and yet are wildly famous, this can be harder to accept help in any form. Whilst many, many famous people have staff to do any and all ridiculous things for them, some shy away from that. As a famous person, it would be hard to trust anyone to come into your home, your sanctuary. As a frail, elderly person, I would imagine that to be immensely harder still. You can also imagine that when his time came, he may want to have been remembered as the actor he was in his prime, and his huge catalogue of movies. Allowing staff (like a cleaner) into personal areas of their home would open them up to the potential of being used for monetary gain if an unscrupulous person were to sell photos or their story.

Again, just speculation and my opinions only. No facts, no sources.

He was mobile so I think she could have coped with taking care of him. I wonder if buying food, medications and care for dogs would need leaving the place. Often delivery is arranged.

Which brings up a point. If necessary items were delivered, were they left at the door or at the entrance to the gated community?

Mail, too. Something does come. Either it had to pile up at their door, or in the mailbox, or somewhere else. Didn't anyone notice?

I have a dog that’s just had knee surgery and he is under strict crate rest while his leg is healing. When I learned that two dogs were alive and roaming I wondered if the third dog was being crated for medical reasons.

Yeah, the address is public info since it has been released publicly. <modsnip: quoted post was removed>

Google Maps: 1425 Old Sunset Trail / Address was stated in search warrant affidavit
For the photo(s) I’m posting- I used Google earth, historical imagery, and then June 30, 2017 [Screenshot linked below]

Anyways— I tried to put an image of the home, over the sketched layout of the home. What do you guys think?
