Not exactly. The bit that is not paywalled says only that the federal prosecutor does support the appeal. Nothing more.
Well the newspaper has more infos but I am not allowed to post it.

AFAIK you are allowed to tell the gist of the text with your own words.

Ojay, I searched German media and all I hear is crickets. If CB was granted a trial in the appellate court that would be huge news, and all the media would be blaring about it. Somehow I doubt there are any groundbreaking news behind that paywall.

No it doesnt, the federal court will see if there were legal errors, that has not changed.

it’s of course positive if a federal prosecutor is in agreement with the prosecution after having looked at the files nearly one year. It’s the most important step if a prosecutor of the BGH gives green light. I am very positive and these are very good news

Wouldn't a federal prosecuter have given the green light in the first place ?

Between accepting the appeal and having a retrial I guess would take months. So no news on German media does not mean the appeal was not successful. Jmo

The decision on an appeal and any retrial remains with Germany’s Supreme Court – but legal sources say the position of the Attorney General or Federal Prosecutor can have a huge impact.

In a leaked letter the Federal Prosecutor claims the court handled the 2024 cases “wrongly”.

It reads: “The court looked at each clue in isolation instead of putting all the clues together.
