I didn’t say it wasn’t important enough to discuss, but the I am concerned that anyone who has posted an opinion that’s not extreme outrage is essentially being told they must not care about hate crimes. It’s completely untrue. The people with more measured responses seem to get jumped on as if they are defending his actions. It’s interesting and disturbing to watch this happen here.

You are correct, in my opinion, on the interesting part. This thread is somewhat divided, like our country nowadays..... It will continue be interesting and entertaining, to see how it all ends on this case....moo

I think Anthony Anderson (and JS) are in this for the publicity. The additional attention these awards will get on Saturday, at whatever cost. Increased focus on black actors/ actresses in the world of entertainment.

And I think JS's deal is to think that all publicity is good publicity. The more I see of him the more I think he has the narcissistic personality disorder. I think he thinks he can skyrocket his way to fame on all that comes out from this incident. MOO, moo, moo.

I would hope there is some higher legal authority in Illinois that can rule on the actions of Kim Foxx, and that there is still an active FBI investigation that will yield some cold hard facts.

It’s hard to even post about this because it has become so political. The fact is that this is all on Jussie Smollett.

Whether he did this for attention because he is a narcissist, or because someone or some group wanted to make a statement, I don’t know. But he did it and he should pay dearly. He created a hoax about two white men beating him up, putting a noose around his neck, wearing MAGA hats and then perpetuated it on TV with fake tears, makes him a monster to me. He knew exactly what he would accomplish. (He is an actor after all.)

And then for the Mayor to blame this on someone else today makes me ill. I think the mayor, the DA, JS, and the rest were all in cahoots. And the mayor coming out against JS in the beginning and now blaming it on someone else just smells, in my opinion!

They wanted to publicize this and make it a war about race and political correctness....AGAIN...and I for one have had enough.

Recusals do not come in formal or informal. You either have recused yourself or you have not.
