I believe the claim is that the brothers wore white makeup under their facemasks?

This is absurd

Good grief.

The BS gets thicker, and stinkier each passing day.

The only thing that is *clear* about this is that Jussie himself “identified” the Osundairo brothers as “white” men. Wearing MAGA hats. And yelling a phrase intended to slur an entire swath of the population due to a stereotype of political beliefs.

It won’t be long before we have word from the O brothers, or via their attorneys or statements, as to whether they wore “whiteface” beneath their ski masks when they staged the “attack” at Jussie’s direction. IMO. My guess is “no”. That would be smeary all over the mask, right? There would be physical evidence.

Absolutely.

A million wrongs do not make a right.

I feel like shutting off all media now for a couple of months, even ignoring NPR.

I feel like we are now entering full-on trolling of the US public.

I think I might have to back away from this tread, too. It's just gonna get ugly

I can think of another case that involved a verbal agreement with the prosecutor:

https://www.litigationandtrial.com/2016/01/articles/attorney/cosby-non-prosecution-agreement/

Smollett is the next Cosby...and this would be a reason for getting rid of Foxx. Different from Cosby some of this went to court, but it seems rather shaky and I wonder if another SA came in, if they could then prosecute Smollett due to the lack of a written plea agreement. Smollett is certainly making the verbal agreement very questionable with him claiming he is innocent and threatening to sue CPD, which doesn't exactly sound like someone who took a plea.
I don't think charges can be brought again. I am guessing that the charges were dismissed with prejudice, meaning they cannot be refiled. That would be very unusual. But I bet it happened. But of course, since the file is sealed, we don't get to see.

What is interesting about this is something she says right off the bat. She is asked if she is concerned about the new FBI investigation into this matter. And she says no, because they did nothing wrong "on our end." It isn't wrong for a defense attorney to take a sweetheart deal. But it sounds like she knows damn well the prosecutor did something wrong.

continuing with my optimism.. is it possible that the feds are going to press charges, and they are the ones that pulled strings to get state charges dropped so that it wouldn't interfere with an upcoming federal case?

Tina Glandian is milking this for all it’s worth. She’s basking in the spotlight that Mark Geragos planned to sun himself under. This is her big break. Her client is innocent, a hero, a role model, gay, black, a celebrity, and a #Victim (insert trademark).

“Intersectionality” as a business plan, lol! She wins!

I believe you are correct.

Iirc it was said the case was dismissed with prejudice.

Foxx made sure no other ethical prosecutor in the future could ever reopen the case.

She was willing to sell her soul to the devil for JS, and I hope we all learn WHY.

Originally I thought that. But with the way it’s gone the past 2 days, I don’t believe that anymore. The pattern isn’t consistent anymore with other cases where the state stepped aside to let the feds proceed.

But I do think the feds are carefully wrapping up a surprise parting gift. Perhaps a couple of gifts.

With all of Kim Foxx's blessings. She sat all of this in play for them knowing JSs lawyers would run with it!!

So hes done apparently thousands of hours of charity work since he was a teenager, why are 2 days where he did 16 hours recently being mentioned at all?

I liked that Savannah hammered home that the Brothers had no motive.

The lawyer says about the frenzied attack that he was being attacked so he was disorientated etc, he fought back though according to him, you have to have some sort of wherewithal to punch someone back and fight back.

Charlie De Mar‏Verified account @CharlieDeMar

Mayor Rahm Emanuel says city is in process of calculating the costs associated with Jussie Smollett investigation. Plans on sending a bill to Smollett. Wants memo line to read: “For Hoax” “I’m sorry”. @cbschicago

That isnt going to go anywhere but into the trash bin.

I think they are wanting to push JSs buttons hoping he is stupid enough to take the bait by suing the city. Ha.
