After watching that interview yesterday, I am starting to doubt she has the capacity to tell the truth. I think she is so very mentally disturbed, be it DID or some other dx, that she compartmentalizes, dissociates, represses, rationalizes, splits or something. What is it called when you live your life half in reality - delusional?

Her whole ability to so easily accept that TA is seeing other people, having the phone conversation with him where they have phone sex and then they continue talking about him taking Mimi to Cancun (we will hear this convo I believe) is bizarre. It shows how she detaches. Who could be in a relationship with someone, have phone sex with him and then chat casually about his pursuit of someone who is "marriage material"? She puts herself in very degrading situations but doesn't seem to "get it."

I'm not saying she's insane in the legal sense, but that girl is whack.

In order to detach one has to first be attached. People are no different than furniture to her. She doesn't see them as having any value beyond meeting her own needs.

Imo

(I just rewatched all of part two and must now excuse myself to go mind bleach )

I really would love to know what type of jobs everyone has that they can watch/catch up/read at work. I never had such a job. lol

I have sinitus and strep, so I am a sickie this week. I usually sneak out the Kindle Fire to keep track. I also have a super early shift, so that helps.

I am so curious about her behaviour during her childhood and teenage years and if she has always been like this or if something happened early in her life that has attributed to her mental issues. Wondering if we will hear from teachers, childhood friends, etc. during the trial.

And the only time she appeared to be really crying, because her face got red, was when she was viewing the video of herself crying. jmo

She bought a gun. It was with her items in her car that she was packing up when arrested
.:seeya:

I haven't read much about that. Was she arrested after her day of interrogation (wearing white yoga pants and black top)? Then the next day she comes in for more interrogation wearing orange jail garb (and adds ninja story)? Where did we learn that arrest story? All I've heard is that it was mentioned on JVM? Is that correct?

I know when she was drawing the the camera cards she has he wanted to grab the pen from her a couple times and ultimately did end up taking it from her. She was trying his patience for sure and it showed just a tiny bit. Now maybe he was worried about her having that in her hand too. jmo

haha I liked that part when he took back the pen. I wish I could have it in a gif.?

Hi all! First time poster here, but I have been lurker since the case has started. I have been trying to keep up with the case, but with the odd hours of AZ, it has been hard for me to do at times. Most of my evening is watching the ending of the day while catching up here.

At first I thought Travis was shot first, but now I believe that the first wound was the stab to the heart. The time between the last pic of Travis alive (the close up of him in the shower) and the one of him on the floor with Jodi’s leg less than 2 minutes. I think she stabbed him, he busted out of the shower to the sink to check the wound, where he coughed up blood. When he realized what had actually happened, he did try to escape. Jodi, thinking that all this was going to be clean and fast with him never leaving the shower, followed him down the hall stabbing him frantically. He finally collapses at the end of the hall where she slits his throat. She drags him back into the bathroom where she shoots him for good measure, using a pillow to muffle the sound.

IMO, she had every intention of going there to kill him. She brought a gun, her hair was dyed, she did not take her own car, and she turned her phone off during her entry and exit of the state. I believe Travis did not know that pictures were being taken of him in the shower. My camera has a silence mode when you are in a museum and such, where you cannot hear the shutter and beep sound. I am sure that he had the best camera that money can buy, and these pics are not of ‘professional’ quality that Jodi claims to have. The only one that came out really good was the last one of his face. Which I think was when she opened the shower door and had a knife in her hand. He face had the look of surprise and fear. I believe it was only a second between that last picture and her first attack. But that is totally MOO.

Some things did jump out at me during the tape of her talking to detective. She did mention how she thought that one picture of him in the shower with the water on his face was ‘so great’. I wonder if that was the close up one that we have seen. That creeped me out. And when she did talk about the ninja attack, I do believe the majority of what Travis said and did happened, just it was by her own hands and not intruders.

I really can’t wait until they start again today. I brought my headphones to work in hopes I would catch a little bit so I don’t feel too far behind. But I would like to thank everyone for all the updates and discussions.

Welcome to websleuths! Glad you joined the conversation.

:welcome5:

Thanks! LOL...I was planning to go to the trial this week before I got the plague. I have sinus surgery in February, so there will be some "recovering" at the courthouse.

maybe during mitigation phase? (I know I am leaping ahead of myself but I truly think this will make it to that phase)

According to her parents she was difficult and ran away frequently. Someone that knew her said she smoked pot and drank at school before she dropped out.

I cant remember where I heard arrest story but I don't think she left the building after day one. Thus the jail suit
