She didn't clarify context so maybe just in that particular instruction? But it's elsewhere?

I don't think it's a problem for the CW --

This is only the amends to her jury instructions they covered yesterday

I tend to agree with Mr Tipton that it would be prejudicial if the Judge starts referring to dangerous weapons when the existence of one is a fact in issue.

Judge will give jury instructions.

Each side will give a closing argument.

Then perhaps a short break.

Then final instructions.

Then deliberation.

The judge is now thanking the jurors at length.

Any social media mentions of whether the jurors avoided looking at the defendant today?

Judge is now defining 1st and 2nd degree murder.

I think the defense would have had a much stronger case if they went for AW killing herself in a bloody manner, say with the knife.

That would explain his panic way more than a natural non suspicious death.

I'm glad they didn't but since he was the only one there they only had two options. Natural death or suicide.

Tipton has always been constrained by the lies his client has been telling him, and having to mount an ethical defense despite knowing that.

According to some, pleading guilty to disposal/obstruction on the eve of trial was 9D chess, but now we've seen there is no way to dig out from his deceptions by fabricating a version aligned with the evidence.

My guess is Tipton is focussing on damage control and hope to appeal the ipad search consent on appeal. Trouble is Judge Freniere stitched Walshe up on that with some brutal factual findings that can't be appealed.

Well.... finding her suddenly dead, he didn't apparently think of suicide, or that he could even stage it as such.

I'm relieved they didn't go that route, but then they would have had NO evidence to push that theory forward.

"....death which, without the defendant, would not have happened...."

so Glad I got here in time to watch some of this before jury begins deliberating. Am I here in time for closings or have I missed them?

Attorney Tipton begins his closing argument.

What happened to a living husband and father... to the woman he adored....

Seems it’s defense first and CW gets final say.

[I learned his name. I didn't want to.]

He makes it sound like they were flush with money, that he was being careful to manage it for the future of the children...

So what would cause a loving father and husband to do the things he did...?

Something that was sudden, something that defies logic..

[I didn't say that! The Defense did! Defies logic. Indeed it does.]

Defense

The unthinkable happens, nothing proves BARD that a killing or homicide happens.

He lied .... he disposed of her....

But there's no evidence he harmed her or even that he would want to harm her....

Do I hear snickering/snorting in the court room as defense closes? lol
