JAN 17

The Massachusetts convict suspected of murdering his wife on New Year’s Day while on house arrest as he was awaiting sentencing on fraud charges involving, in part, the bilking of the owner of a West Hollywood art gallery, is believed to have dismembered her in the basement of their family home before disposing of her remains at an incinerator site, sources tell LAMag.

Brian Walshe, 47, is slated to be arraigned on murder charges in a Quincy courthouse on Wednesday after what Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey called “an intensive investigation” into the disappearance of his wife. Ana Walshe, a 39-year-old mother of three, was reported missing by her employer on Jan. 4—three days after she was last seen in the tony coastal town of Cohasset.

Good God, as was expected, but geez. How does one become this evil.

Law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the investigation said Walshe’s phone pinged at two trash and recycling centers where incinerators were used—one in Abington and another in Brockton.
“There is a large amount of physical evidence collected at various locations, but it is unlikely a body will be recovered,” a high-ranking law enforcement official tells LAMag.

Geez, he takes his phone to two recycling centers, he shops for $450 amount of cleaning supplies in plain view, he leaves a bloody knife in the basement, he says Ana left by an invisible camera shy rideshare, he claims she took a flight with no passenger manifest, ..on and on.

All that without even considering the forensics.

This guy has no brain cells.

And yet he stupidly took evidence to dumpsters that possibly didn’t incinerate the contents? I’m at a loss as to how he figured out which ones didm and perhaps took her to those but left a trail elsewhere. Sigh. I’m thankful he screwed up enough to leave that trail, though.

And thanks to everyone contributing and helping out.

Just saw on the news tonight BW was arrested for murder. Finally.

Now, where is Ana ??

I agree about the no brain cells. I also think that he is used to talking his way/buying his way out of situations. Just look at how long his fraud case has been going on.

How truly tragic. It is just sickening to think of what he must have done to her in order for LE to suggest her remains will not be recovered.

It does seem like LE has identified a lot of evidence and has a very good idea of what happened. All the better to try him with.

Important update to the timeline! (Sorry, I've been busy with IRL stuff so my timing is delayed.)

Jan 17/23 - BW charged with the murder of AW.

Not unexpected but still devastating all the same. :'(

Evidence at various locations?! Unlikely a body will be recovered?!

Reading between the lines (and there's no delicate way to say this, so forgive me), I think Ana's body may not be whole and parts have been 'scattered'.

I think LE need to be looking for more than a knife.

MOO.

and to think someone can do this to the mother of their children within literal hours after hosting guests at your home together. I am just so disgusted by BW and everything I'm learning about him. She and her children deserved so much better!!

They found a hacksaw, and he did a Google search about dismembering a body. It’s so, so sad, but given that information alone, I think many of us didn’t expect her body to be found intact. MOO.
Those poor boys.

I've been wondering if those sites have surveillance videos, like at his mom's place and the drugstore?

I believe the google search was about disposing of a body, not specifically about dismembering it. (I do think someone said that the google results for such a search are mostly about dismembering though). Just want to keep us on the narrow factual track.

No links at hand, though, so MOO

ETA: never mind! He DID search dismembering! o_O

Thank Goodness he has no brain cells.

I think we all knew he would be arrested for murder.

He is just an egotistical, entitled, spoiled person.
He did whatever he wanted to do.. what's that word they made up for the kid in Texas...oh, yeah....“affluenza ” after a psychologist suggested that growing up with money might have left him with psychological afflictions, too rich to tell right from wrong. INSERT EYE ROLL (Multiple times)
More like selfish, spoiled, entitled. IMO

RIP dear Ana... you did not deserve this and my heart breaks for your 3 little kiddos. :(

Def he chopped he chopped up very well. He bought an axe, his mission was to make 'the situation' ' impossible to recover. I just am 'surprised' he knew to look up / find the trash disposal places and if they did incinerate, who would think of that? She was never going to be found was his intent, so as expected. LE somehow found 'enough' of what they need in some way of something more perhaps today than what they do have, her blood i.d. on items and the location where he did this chopping. The sad thing is, it can be hopefully taken care of in court quick as possible and not linger on for months and years. The family and children and her friends matter, mainly the little precious boys. Cannot even imagine how the specialist can explain all this somehow, to the children. The six year old will understand to a point mother will not be seen again. These people like B are out there and I just wish he had been imprisoned long ago as he should of been of course.

Absolutely sickening. I wish more painful terms of confinement were allowed for this guy.

Here you go. Per this article, he looked up both. Brian Walshe looked up how to ‘dispose of 115-pound woman’s body’ in days surrounding wife’s disappearance: report

He searched both how to dispose of a body AND topics related to dismemberment specifically, according to this article and others: https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/10/us/ana-walshe-missing-massachusetts-mother-husband-tuesday/index.html
