The kind of tail light covers Lexus has are a carbon fiber material with an epoxy coating (simular compounds are used in bikes, tents, many things) In very cold weather it's the epoxy that binds the carbon fibers that may degrade and breakdown creating small fractures, weakening it and making it susceptible to breakage...especially when you then factor in the force of an impact. JO did have a glass in his hand too. Also, there's bone and muscle behind that skin.

This was an overwhelming humiliation for the cw today!! I really can't believe what we saw. This was a thermonuclear explosion in hank brennan's face! He is guilty of being not only sloppy, but frankly totally and unquestionably incompetent. Anyone who thinks this clown had a good day today is lying to themselves. His witness was shown to be a complete fraud and liar. He hasn't been able to get a BA in college for 17 years???!!!! He blatantly lied about his credentials, he admitted to talking to Tully multiple times, he changed his findings to align with what hank told him to and we're not even done hearing what other screw-ups he was responsible for. The fact that hank was so terrible at his job that he didn't even bother to check this guys credentials shows what a sloppy job he is doing. HE HAS THE MONEY AND THE UNLIMITED RESOURCES TO DO ANYTHING. He based this case of this guy and he was annihilated. This really could not have gone any worse for hank today. After his little smug gotcha moment on Friday where him and cannone conspired to screw the Defense, this was an unmitigated disaster for them today. Pathetic.
