Wow!
I would not have seen it without the circle around it.
My first thought was sure, yeah, a UFO hunter, what next?

Looking at the map in the link though, I agree that the supposed flight path seems to fall more in line with witness sightings, especially with the plane flying low.
Could a plane that size and weight actually land on the ocean and be buoyant enough to float just below the surface along with the current?

'The Cape of Good Hope is going to have powerful currents moving around it with deep crevices, and since the photo on Google is eight months old, it could have moved 30-60km away if its semi-floating only 4-9 feet under the water,' he added.

How do we know this photo wasn't photoshopped or a whale??? Being a conspiracy theorist/alien hunter seriously damages his credibility with me. Why wouldn't the plane have broken up upon impact, especially when other pieces have been recently found???

What else is in the image? Is it just ocean? Is the scale even right?

How crazy would it be if this was it?!

Does anyone else here think that they are looking in the wrong place for this plane?

I have the same concerns as you I'm not convinced this is the plane it could be anything. I just share stories I find about the plane which may be of interest and spark discussion.

Great questions I wish we knew the answers. Yes it would be crazy and a miracle if it was this plane.

Does anyone else here think that they are looking in the wrong place for this plane?

I think the search area is so vast and the ocean so deep and moving like a washing machine they just haven't a clue. It is very sad the search is going to be wound up in June but it is tax payer's money and I know it can't go on indefinitely.

It is just so sad for the families I can't imagine how they feel.

P.s I got out of hospital late this afternoon UK time it turns out I had a bad E. coli infection in my urinary tract and it was really horrendous especially the unbearable headaches. I'm on the mend I'm just really really tired I've had no proper sleep for 9 days. Thank you so much for the well wishes and private messages I intend to reply as soon as I can. Tulessa I hope your recovering well. Best wishes to Roselvr and Tssiemer and all members and guests who are suffering pain/health issues.

Sorry to hear about your illness. Maybe taking some Benadryl at bedtime would allow you to get some sleep. It's non-addictive. I've had a mild case of the flu in the last week, no fun either...

It is really sad. It may be decades, or never, that the plane is found.
I think the JACC are so aware of the uncertainty of finding the plane, despite the brave face they put on.
The plane could be one kilometre, ten kilometres, a hundred kilometres out of their search zone and it will be missed.

The search is unprecedented.
The complexities surrounding the search are immense. The wide search area is a remote and previously unmapped area 1.1 million square kilometres in size. The bathymetric survey work shows the complexity of the terrain, with water depths of up to 6,000 metres. The search area contains underwater mountains, crevasses, ridges and 2,000 metre sheer cliffs, all of which may slow down the search.

I don't see it :waitasec: I looked where the red circle and couldn't find anything resembling a plane...I saw some shadows though...
IMO, the plane did not hit the water in one piece.

I'm not seeing it either. I even blew up the image, but I see nothing resembling a plane.

Oh good! Then I'm not the only one not seeing this plane!

I didn't see it on the picture itself, but I saw what looked like a plane after he pointed it out on the video.

The man in charge of the hunt for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 believes it is “very likely” that the plane will be found in the next four months

Two other pieces of flotsam, found on Réunion and Mozambique, are suspected to come from the plane, but are yet to be positively identified.

I'm sorry but I have heard the plane is "very likely" to be found soon repeatedly for the last two years and the boat crew with the underwater scanner has found absolutely nothing. So I don't share his optimism but very much hope to be proven wrong as this is there last chance to find the plane.

Just read this article it is heartbreaking that families still believe their loved ones are alive and could come home.

"When Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 vanished from radars on 8 March 2014, it was carrying three members of Gao Xianying’s family: her son-in-law, her daughter and her three-year-old granddaughter, Zhao Yingxin.

Two years on, and with investigators yet to find any trace of the plane’s main wreckage – or those on board – the softly spoken 62-year-old says she remains convinced her family will one day return.

“My daughter is still alive. The MH370 passengers are still alive,” Gao insisted on Monday, clutching a damp tissue as she fought to contain her emotions. “I am just waiting for my children to come home.”

I think this pretty much explains why Martin Dolan is the face of enthusiasm.

At this late stage, Dolan is aware that his assurance could seem like blind optimism, or a bid to save face over a US $133.3m operation – paid for by Australia and Malaysia, plus $14.8m in funding and equipment from China – that has already been said to have failed.

Upthread I posted that two pieces of flotsam had been found but not identified, one on Reunion and the other on Mozambique. According to that link, these were in addition to the flaperon which has been confirmed.

I wonder if this new find that I am now posting about is actually the same flotsam from Reunion mentioned in the upthread link or is it another piece? Pictures of it are in the link listed below.

The latest discovery comes days after a piece of aircraft was retrieved from a sandbank in Mozambique and just days before the two-year anniversary of the jet’s disappearance.

Looks like a total of 3 pieces may have been found. I am not seeing any signs of marine growth or encrustation on either piece.

They do look clean, don't they?

Too clean. They've got that honeycomb we've heard about though. Wasn't there a piece found a couple of months ago, rumour it was from a Japanese rocket, did that ever get cleared up?

Here is a link to that piece which was found near a beach in the Gulf of Thailand north of Malaysia. I couldn't find a link that confirmed it, but the assumption was that it was from a Japanese rocket.

The placement of bolts and numbers etched on it resemble the honeycomb launch fairing of a Japanese H-2 rocket series, a liquid-fueled launch system used to transport satellites and space probes.

Also, "the construction and placement of ports seem to match" the rocket, said Nathan J. Hunt, an independent aerospace and defense blogger in the United States.

Thank you, these latest pieces could also be from the rocket I think. I'm stunned that so far only one part of MH370 has been confirmed in 2 years, I never thought we'd still be here now!
