Man seen carrying diaper clad baby

  • #301
I wonder what kind of street lighting there is. I've noticed that it is difficult for me to distinguish any colors if the street lighting has an orange glare.

The adult's face is probably easier to see than the baby's when he's walking upright. Depending on how the baby is carried you might not see the face at all.

The motorcycle man indicated that he thought the baby resembled Lisa so much it could be the same baby. I wish they'd asked him in which position the baby was carried.
This neighborhood is well lit, but with the orange lights. Yes it is hard to make out the small details with it. A tanned white man could very well appear to be hispanic or a light-skinned black man. I can't remember what kind of lighting is at the intersection he saw her is, but it is very well lit also.

Just a thought... I have a son who has asthma. If he gets a croupy cough I will take him out at night, in a diaper, but with a blanket around his shoulders, to get some of the fresh night air. It tends to help him out with his breathing a lot.

I don't totally discount the 4am sighting however I wonder if this mans mind decided that baby Lisa was what he saw instead of something/someone else. I mean the baby could have been bigger/smaller, the guy could have been a mom with short hair instead or a dad haggard looking from caring for a sick child all night. The possibilities are endless here.

I do know that if the police have checked into this and discounted it that I believe them.

As far as the couple that saw a man with a baby, well.. their story is changing just as much as DB's it seems like to me and I have to wonder at their motive. :waitasec:

ETA: Also, if this was a week after that he reported this how can he be positive it was the exact same night that Lisa went missing? It could have been the day before or after even? I can tell you things I saw and heard last week but to pinpoint the exact day, unless it was something special that happened that day and it was out of my normal routine when I saw it I couldn't guarantee you what exact day it was.

Sorry to quote myself but I'm bringing this over from the MSM thread from today.

This is a personal story that might bring a different light to this.

Several years ago, we were renting a beach house in Florida on vacation. My husband and I would sit out on the steps at night and watch the sunset. One morning I woke up before my husband and decided to sit outside to watch the sunrise instead. The steps went down to the beach and the ocean was right there. I'm not good at measuring, so won't say how close it was, but it was definitely what I considered close. The waves were crashing and the sun was just coming up and the light was gorgeous. As I sat there drinking my coffee, I noticed a person walking fairly far down the beach toward me. As they got closer to me, I noticed that the person had something in their arms. As the person got even closer, I noticed that it was a man and he had something in his arms. Closer yet, I realized that he was carrying a baby. The positioning was very odd and the man looked strange and walking with a purpose instead of just strolling as one would on a lovely morning along the beach. I kept thinking how odd it was that this man had this baby in his arms and it was barely light out. The hair on the back of my neck stood up and I suddenly knew in my heart that something wasn't right. I ran in and woke up my husband to come out and look so that I could have a second opinion before calling 911. My thought was not that he kidnapped a baby, but that the baby was his own and he might be going to drown it or something like that. My husband ran out; by this time the man had already passed us. My husband looked down the beach and then looked back at me and began to laugh. At the same time I recognized that the man was coming back our way and he now had the "baby" out of his arms and it was on a leash. He was carrying his dog! It had clothes on and everything! From my distance, even though it was close, I was sure that this was a baby.

The poor man walked back past us, still with purpose, and never even realized that some blind lady almost had called LE on him. The light tan doggie pranced ahead of him along the water.

Two months after I returned from my vacation, I got Lasik! True story! :)

But then if he was worried enough about people recognizing baby Lisa from
her clothing to undress him it's a bit odd to me that he didn't seem too worried about people seeing him on the street.

One of the videos says the witnesses describe him as very calm.

We don't know why the baby wasn't wearing clothes. if it was Lisa and this guy undressed her, we don't know what his thought process was about why to take her clothes off.

Do you notice that when abductions of children do happen out of their homes, the perps aren't at all rational? They don't think clearly at all. Not like say, someone stealing a computer might put it in a different colored case, or take decals and decorations off it to try to conceal the original appearance of the item.

These people who sneak though houses in the wee hours and make off with the children are out of their minds, and don't behave like professional thieves.

Trying to figure out if all the speculation about the race of the sighted baby-carrier can be addressed by information I heard elsewhere - and don't even know if I believe.

What race is Johnny Tanko/Jersey really? I've seen the booking photos we all looked at, but I am getting information that this is not the "real" Jersey, and that the "real" Jersey is AA. Very confusing and I'm not sure I believe it. Is there any verified local person on this board who is certain of "Jersey's" ID and race? I mean, dead certain?
JT aka Jersey is not AA. I was asked by LE if I knew of him several weeks prior to the baby being missing when our neighborhood had some car breakins. He was described to me then just as his mug shot is. Why I didn't associate the two being the same person until the alias Jersey was released is because the media was describing somebody totally different than what Jersey was described to me as being weeks earlier.

Maybe he felt by removing clothing she wouldn't be recognized? I think if one wants to walk away with a child not their own, they want to appear calm + as if they have every right to walk with said baby in their arms. Or as other posters have pointed out, was not of sound mind + felt once the taking was done, it was their baby anyway. Who the heck knows what such a person might rationalize or think or if they worry about anything - I can't fathom what sort of creature would steal a baby in the first place. Argh!

If I sound cranky, I am, at whoever has done whatever to an innocent baby. Certainly never at anyone posting or their thoughts / ideas. I enjoy reading all, especially those I think opposite of, because it makes me think about my ideas + try to see if they hold water. If that makes sense.

Where on earth is baby Lisa????? :banghead:

I wonder what John Couey looked like carrying Jessica Lunsford out of her home, or the killer of Coralrose Fullwood. I wonder if either of them did anything at all to conceal what they were carrying as they were walking away with the children.
And these two stories are two more examples that the boogieman does exist. In both of these cases the parents were vilified by the press because of their lifestyle choices. The Van Damms are another.

LOL...a bit embarrassing, but thought that it was appropriate here in possibly lightening up the mood. On the other hand, I LOVE my Lasik and am 20/20 now!!!:great:

BBM - He described the man well + said he would recognize him if he saw him again - fwiw.

The police have NOT discounted these sightings. They've spoken with the woman 4 times + it was quoted / linked earlier where LE clarified they've not discounted + still have interest in them.

How has the couple's story changed? I missed that.

I have no idea if the sightings are accurate or not. By the same token I have no reason to believe MT was off on his date of sighting. I think if he felt strongly enough to report it, he'd probably made darn sure he had the right date. JMO

I still have a hard time understanding the Van Damm tragedy. Another case of adult time and no idea somebody grabbed their child. And those parents were far worse than these parents. JMO

MOO - I'd add Steve Groene + family to the list as well, their boogieman being Duncan. He was calm on tape later when he entered a convenience store with Shasta. I can only imagine him strutting around with the 2 kids as if he had every right during the time they were missing. Of course he slaughtered the family at the home that night, but there was many a comment about the rest of the family.

In fact the bio dad said he failed his poly on the same question as DB claims to have failed hers on - "Do you know where your child/ren are?" SG answered "no", but his heart feared they were "in heaven", so he failed + the accusations flew + he was said to not be cooperating. He was pizzed because he wanted his precious kids found + was sick of them wasting so much time on him, when he had absolutely nothing to do with their disappearance. I'm unable to fathom how he + Lunsford + others kept their sanity or composure through such a time, or how they didn't end up arrested for tackling those who were spouting the BS.

It does happen. We wouldn't have percentages if it didn't. Do I think that's what happened here? Not so much, but I won't fully discount it until LE shares a shred or 2 of evidence that shows guilt belongs definitely with someone known. JMO

If someone saw this man and a baby right in Lisa's neighborhood unclothed shortly after she was taken you would think LE would have found even a trace of her clothing...

  • #315
BBM: but what if this man was mentally challenged?

That's what is sounds like to me too. Which makes it even more scarier for Little Lisa... If he's homeless I wouldn't think he could have gone very far. Maybe LE is spending too much time focusing on DB? So sad...

They could have but they're not saying...

Maybe they did. Maybe they showed it to DB as she said something about them showing her burnt clothing.

Also, I should've said above... the big difference with Lunsford + Groene compared to this family is - they DID keep making public pleas regardless of what anyone thought of them. They kept their focus + media time ALL ABOUT THE CHILDREN. MOO.

"Although he had no clues, one neighbor reportedly told police about seeing an African-American individual carrying a baby up the street around midnight, only hours before Lisa, (whose birthday on Nov. 11 would now make her 11 months old) was reported missing."

It was hearsay. The reporter never talked to the actual witness.

I personally am disregarding the idea the man was black. It did not come from the actual witness statements to media.

MOO.

I'm confused. Did the wife say the husband who says he saw a man carrying a baby on Chelsea going to work or coming home from work?

Well I for one am glad to see this at least being discussed. I don't know what happened to Baby Lisa but if there is even the remotest possibility that a man carried her off I want it investigated fully with LE being objective. It has bothered me so badly that last night I searched "cases where police ignored evidence". Sadly I got over 20 million results.

I also took a look at the sex offenders in the area up to 12 miles I think. Probably has nothing to do with this case except letting me know that all things need to be looked at but I found a perp who works or has worked about 2 miles northeast of Baby Lisa's home. Looked like he might still be in jail or maybe the info isn't updated. I am not sure but what caught my eye was he was into child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 with children ages 1-17, male and female. The thing I always have to remember is that there are lots of perps that haven't been caught and aren't on a list. Or they are noncompliant and nobody knows where they are located.

If it was my child, I would want nothing to be discounted.

I can't make heads or tails if the "man" is white or black so look at both.
