GUILTY MI - Ramsay Scrivo, 32, found dismembered, St Clair County, 27 Jan 2014 - #2

Got a reply from my email. Reporter Jamie Cook is there now, trial resumes today.

Detective Rickert completed his testimony this morning.

FYI.... Some graphic details of the discovery of body parts in the article.
Her son was strangled while under influence of lethal dose of Xanax. evidence of burning in tub to make dismemberment easier. Strong smell of bleach in home.

"The detective said police initially found six bags of remains and other items, including the jigsaw Scrivo used to cut up her son’s body, along Allington, north of Fred Moore, about 1-1/2 miles from the gas station. A seventh bag was located the next day along the on-ramp to I-94 at Fred Moore."

Trial is scheduled to continue this afternoon (Tuesday, May 12). It is 2 pm now ..... wonder what is happening. Coverage is very slow coming.

I don't understand the lack of trial coverage in the newspapers, online, etc. This was such big news when it happened. Lack of cameras in court are the likely reason. But local coverage is also sparse. Ramsey deserves better.

this link is bad now......but that's okay.....these details are enough :(

Spitz testified Ramsay Scrivo died from ligature strangulation with a lethal amount of Xanax in his system as a contributing factor. He said Ramsay Scrivo could have been “comatose” while being strangled. Xanax is an anti-anxiety drug.

“This (400 nanograms per milliliter) is four times what you would see in someone who is normally taking the drug,” Spitz testified. “This is an elevated level that in my opinion would have significant effect on the individual. You’re going to be lethargic, you’re going to be drowsy, you’re going to be confused, you’re going to be uncoordinated until you pass out, and in some people would cause death.”

from your link....................thank goodness for this.......at least while she was strangling him he probably didn't realize what was going on :(............good lord..........

This definitely ranks up there for me as one of the most bizarre and upsetting cases I have followed.

QueenBee, sorry about the link that no longer works. It appears "my linked article" was updated with more info and became the link Paintr posted. Glad you found it.

Lois Lane? :giggle: She and Nancy Drew were my first heroes. Unfortunately, I am not as good as them. Just determined sometimes.

Maybe we have to wait for the end of the day or next morning for the MacombDaily update. What a way to follow a trial, hey.
