Hi Jilly. People can buy a house, even if they don't qualify or have credit rating, if someone else is willing to guarantee the mortgage. My daughter and son-in-law didn't qualify so I guaranteed the loan - my financials were used by the bank to authorize the mortgage and the house is in their names. Of course, if they miss a payment then I'm the person that bank looks for. My single daughter did the same thing and my mom guaranteed the mortgage. With the housing market doubling and tripling these days, it's a great way to help children get started with not only financial responsibility, but with a nice capital gain.

Interesting - I learned something new today. :) I would guess many parents are doing this for their kids. Very good idea in this day and age.

Yes he was seen Otto: last line in this link:http://www.newsobserver.com/102/story/529376.html

Thanks for the link. I think I got it mixed up with another statement that said the only conversation the police had with Jason was 15 minutes at 3 in the afternoon the day Michelle was discovered.

As for helping children invest in property, I think it's an excellent idea - why pay rent when you can buy? 35% down is the way to go as well ... for better rates.

I saw that link too Otto, whichis why I thought they talked to him on the phone. 3 on the 3rd is when he arrived at his P's home in Bravard I thought.

So 3 on the 3rd was the last conversation and returning from his mother's house was the last contact, presumably when they seized the vehicle.

3 seems awfully late to be arriving after an early morning meeting 2 hours away, but maybe the meeting went all morning and finished with lunch. If it finished earlier, my guess is that Jason pulled over and had a nap somewhere along the way to mom's. I always assumed that Jason immediately jumped in the car and headed back home after receiving the news, but now it looks more like he spent some time at mom's before worrying about Cassidy.

I just read through the Porco transcripts and one thing I didn't know before was that both parents initially survived the attack, but Peter Porco experienced brain damage and wandered all over the house, looking in the fridge, sitting at the table, in the garage, outside, putting on a clean long sleeve work shirt and doing other morning workday routines illogically; leaving huge amounts of blood all over the house. It tells me that people can have very serious head injuries and survive for quite some time doing things that make no sense, even walking around if only the frontal lobe is injured. Joan Porco was still alive about 8 hours later even though she had a one inch deep axe cut in her forehead, her jaw was cut in two, an eye was missing etc. That's pretty scary and suggests to me that Michelle may not have died right away, but maybe was hit when she was in bed but got up, disoriented, like Peter Porco.

Gee Otto, I haven't ever read anything on the Porco case. I'm going to have to look it up.

I guess Peter lived because his brain was injured but still received O2, so he could function. I've often thought Michelle could have lived after the killer left. She could appear to be dead although now I remember her brain in the back of her head was open to the air and damaged. It would probably depend if her brain was still getting O2 from her blood.

What do you think of the knife they found in JY's SUV? Evidently it had to be out in the open, as ifit had been in a closed compartment they couldn't have named it in the SW.

i'm glad you brought this up otto.....i looked up driving directions...IF JY's meeting was up around Duffield, VA, then it would take just a little over 3 hours to get down to Brevard, NC.......

hmmmmm, ok i'm thinking this is where RC is getting the later timing for the meeting.....makes sense now...hard to say how long the meeting would last though.....you could be right about a meeting going on into lunch time, which would put JY back in Brevard around 3-4 pm....

i've been confused about several things with our speculating on the 'trip', but it's getting clearer now....

I did read a post like that Close, but what the poster said was she had heard that something else was done to Michelle's body, but she couldn't tell us what was done to her.

The poster was a 'friend', and I thought she was a friend of Merediths, but that could be wrong. She knew someone in the family though. That person only posted a couple of times - all about the same time.

Why Close, what did you hear? Been a bit narly over there today! :) I can't understand getting that worked up. I expected the daily thread to get the axe by CW LOLO

The poster was Smoketree8 - and that is what she said. Honestly - it would not surprise me if it were true. Having just followed Dyleski - there was no need for him to stab Pamela after he beat her to death - but he did. JMO

lol, yes Scandi....i didn't read for very long, & figured i'd better get out of 'there' before i logged in & made a fool of myself (again, lol)....i tend to do that, even here sometimes, but HERE i'm more comfortable doing it :p

anyway, no...i haven't heard anything..just read the one post where someone was asking about it...along the same lines of what you posted above....that someone said that MF said something else was done to Michelle's body.....very creepy; wondering if it had anything to do with her being pregnant?....ok, i'm going to hush...my mind will go waaaaay 'out there' if i keep thinking about this....

The only thing about this however is remember from the 911 tape that Meredith could not roll MY over ? IF Meredith saw anything - it would have been something she could only see from the position MY was in which was front down on the floor. I will go look at Smoketree's post to see how that is worded.

yes, you're right....from the 911 call, it sounded like Meredith wasn't able to actually turn MY over on her back...hmmmm, could be some info that was given to the family members, after the autopsy, maybe?

would be cool if you could find the wording...i'd appreciate it...i checked real quick, but ctv doesn't show an actual list of posts for each member; just the most recent post....if they do, i couldn't find it.....

Something worth noting here in regards to the warrant (SUV). On page 3 of my version (6 pages in total) there is a statement within the 'Continuation of probable cause' section which states that

Major Johnson went to MF's abode and "observed" the SUV which belongs to Jason Young. The immediate following line tells us something extra :)

"The vehicle was being detained persuant to a death investigation"

This tells me that other LE were there before Major Johnson arrived and that the vehicle was detained prior his arrival. I wonder exactly how long they had been there prior to Maj Johnson arriving? I also wonder if Mr Smith JR was also in attendance during this time in case LE tried to ask questions.

Here's the best Porco link I could find: http://timesunion.com/specialreports/porco/

I think idea is that the frontal lobe controls emotions and that was completely damaged, but the lobes in the back of the brain were functioning, and they control gross motor control. The part of the brain that controls breathing is in the middle of the brain. It seems to me that Peter just bled out.

People that are on the road quite a bit have all sorts of odd things that they travel with like a shovel, knife, jerry can, blanket ... I don't know. I don't think too much about a knife but if it was used, the police will know.

I would say a representative of LE was with Meredith and Cassidy for the entire time they were at that home. I'm sure more arrived as JY got closer to time to pick up Cassidy JMO. You will note Major Johnson arrived on 11/4. check the last line of the N & O article about this warrant and you will see the Sheriff Harrison confirms this is the only contact JY had with officers.

Wow Close, can you believe our Charlie remembering her nik like that! I am impressed, and of course remember it now! Baa HaHaHAHa Hee Hee

Not that it matters, but my first thought when I heard Meredith couldn't roll Michelle over was one arm was kind of stuck behind her and being very cold and stiff, she was in or close to full rigor mortis. She would be difficult to maneuver I would think in trying to move her to either side.

I wonder why he had that knife out inside the SUV. $119, it is a neat little knife I guess, but if he killed Michelle, I don't think he would keep a knife in his car he had used on her. If I had been in his shoes I would have been totally paranoid, thinking if I left something or made a mistake, they could swarm on me at any time.
