Isn't the pacemaker attached to the heart? That would mean someone in her family surgically removed it. That's cold.
Yes it would be.
Seems unlikely, but then taking a frail elderly person with limited mobility from the safety of their home is cold as well.
Imo.

That's what I think too. Until there’s verification she physically entered her house, I think it’s fair to question the timeline. There’s been no footage shown of her arrival or departure from Annie’s. If that confirmation exists, why not release something to put these questions to rest?
What purpose would there be in removing her pacemaker? Pacemakers cannot be tracked!!!

And a highly illogical leap imo

because "putting questions to rest" is not something LE does or should care about. that's more like a political motivation.
I’m not asking them to release evidence for optics. I’m pointing out that if her physical arrival home hasn’t been confirmed publicly, that’s a critical piece of information.

Okay, thank you. I just keep getting the sense there's two parallel crimes going on. Based on what I've read here, it takes considerable smarts and tech savvy to launder Bitcoin. It doesn't really jive with a suspect fumbling around in Lantana bushes to cover a camera. Stranger things have happened though, so I could be wrong.

I don't think we have seen evidence that the sender of the ransom note has laundered bitcoin. So I personally am not willing to assume any smarts or tech savvy here. Anyone can set up a bitcoin wallet address and paste it into a document. Until we see them successfully move bitcoin out of that wallet without being caught, I think it's just as likely to be an unsophisticated person than a sophisticated one. JMO

The man in the mask at the door alters for sure what is more likely to have happened here imo

If you look back at my posts (if you go to my profile) I quote the complaint about the ransom hoaxers and the complaint says that NG was last seen "inside her home".

I agree with you there are still questions about it, and whether that statement is accurate, but just pointing out.

EDIT: I also posted a couple back (this is moving so quickly LOL) that I imagine with all of the home cameras, LE would have evidence of this one way or another fairly easily. Or, I'm hoping they would

Because it's not LE's job to satiate our curiosity? Any suspicion that she never made it home is ridiculous IMO at this point.

Many of the comments on here are unfortunately a good lesson in why we should leave the investigating to the professionals.. . yikes, a lot of fragmented comments and wild goose chases. Other than the basic early gathering, LE let's the facts and evidence lead them to the next thing. Not hunches and wild guesses.

yeh, I know I do the same thing. Just wanted to make an obvious comment that our Monday morning quarterbacking is of no value

Video from the New York Post shows investigators picking up one of the gloves from the side of a road. The glove, seen in images, resembles one on the hand of a masked person who was caught on video outside Nancy Guthrie's home the night she disappeared. The person was also wearing an apparent weapon and a backpack.

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1 after not showing up for church. She had been dropped off at home by her son-in-law Tommaso Cioni the night before, and authorities believe she was abducted overnight.

It is often cold at night in Tucson in January/early February and warm during the day. While it's a personal preference, of course, it seems that she might have the heat on at night and the A/C on during the day. MO
A quick look at the weather data from Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson shows a temperature of about 54 degrees and a wind speed of 15 miles per hour at that time on that date. It is also reported to have been overcast with some rain/drizzle in the area, although the total was only 0.10 inches. That may also explain why the illumination of the full moon that night is not noticeable in the videos. The wind speed of 15 mph could also impact the scattered dropped vegitation being over a couple of the blood drops.

Has anyone here compared the single photo of suspect without the backpack and holster to the videos and still of them wearing both? The shoes look a bit different. It almost seems like there’s a black strip on the shoes of the suspect without the backpack that I don’t seem to notice on the suspect that actually walks up to the door.
Our opinions only: Yes. My son said either the guy changed from those all-white slip-ons with black bottoms to other shoes when he put the backpack on, or that’s a different guy without the backpack in the tennis shoes with black marks on the sides.

I feel like the guy without the backpack has a bit of a bigger belly, but it may just be the same guy looking different without the pull of the pack. I also feel uncertain their ski masks are the same, but it’s hard to tell with the image quality in the one without the backpack.

But I also overall don’t believe this was a one-person job.

When the information has changed several times and important details haven’t been clearly confirmed publicly, I don’t think it’s ridiculous to have questions.

No, this has been discussed many times before. She arrived home; her pacemaker only disconnected early the next morning. We, the general public do not get to receive a verification of anything. It's already sad enough that media is following and getting in the way of investigators. MOO

Many have speculated that SG appears to have resigned herself somewhat to this possibility.

Then it would be for Mrs. Guthrie's earthly body to have a Christian burial.

Imo
It usually takes the family some time to come out of their denial and face reality. FBI/ LE knows this and tries to handle it the best they can.

The link to submit video does not work in the latest Pima County Sheriff's Department post requesting video footage

Well, is this the same link included in the alert put out by the neighbor who was acting as if she/he were PCSO?

I don't know if what that nosy neighbor did falls within the legal definition of impersonating a law enforcement officer, but it's at the very least deserving of a knock-knock visit to make sure the neighbor gets a much-needed boundary check.

Only thing about mechanics habitually using mouth lights is that they have many metal surfaces to mount magnetic lights on, and typically use those instead (in my experiences with them generally and in working on cars sometimes myself).

However, HVAC, electricians, plumbers, pest control, etc. would likely need a light like this in the atypically visited and cramped locations they often find themselves around a home or business.

It would be nice if he threw the flashlight out of the window and it was found. DNA

To your point, it is interesting that LE has not ruled out family members. I think there could be different reasons for this, including keeping the perps more comfortable.

But, I also think that family had access to NG's home, etc. and it doesn't mean they weren't involved in some other way shape or form. JMO.

Just not sure it's clear in either direction at this point, other than nothing LE has indicated would say that the family WAS involved
