Yeah, perhaps wal mart didnt sell body bags, so he bought a $24 tarp.
I don’t think it was a robbery, JMO.
I think the bag was full because of rope, gag, body bag, to get her out of the house more easily.
I’ve moved away from the ransom/ kidnapper theory. I think the ransom people were just opportunists. No proof of life, etc.
I think, someone wanted her gone, ( dead, sorry) but why?
The wording here suggests to me that the gloves were found today or very recently. If so, that's strange in my book. Gloves should have been found in the initial search of the house, no? Hmmm.
- Gloves found at Gurthrie’s home are being sent out for testing, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said today. Pictures and videos released earlier this week by the FBI depicting Guthrie’s possible kidnapper showed a person wearing black gloves.

Thank you @MassGuy.
I would go with hidden over buried. I'm sure that ground is so so hard, and apparently there has been no evidence of disturbed earth.I still do believe that she is hidden or buried (sorry to say) somewhere near her property. I'm sure they have used sniffer dogs before around her place. Maybe they should bring them back. I think the ransom notes are just from opportunist people.

I think it's differing analysis of the drops. However, this latest article did mention the aspirated appearance but then put the hands in for a possibility I guess. They can tell Nancy was standing upright when the blood fell.Apologies if this has been answered here, but regarding the news that the blood on the porch likely indicates she was bleeding from "either her hands or face". How would they know this? A poster upthread thought they'd read that the blood had been aspirated, but how does that track with bleeding from the hands. Can anyone shed light on this? TIA!

I’m in complete agreement, the perps wanted NG dead (sorry), gone. But why?To me this is unlikely. With the way the suspect was dressed, with the full backpack and firearm, if he was there with the intent to steal her debt/credit cards he could have just demanded them along with pin numbers. Having her along for that ride to a bank doesn't fit for me. She's more of a problem in this scenario to deal with afterward. Also, I think there's a limit to how much can be withdrawn. Also, thoseor withdrawals would be easy to track.
At this moment, subject to change, I think this person(s) was there to specifically murder NG. The distracting ransom demands are not connected at all. I say person(s) because the suspect in the video might not be the mastermind behind this tragic event. I also don't think this suspect is some professional assassin either. While they look silly to me with a firearm hanging above their crotch w/ a holster that's likely meant for the inside of your waistband, and grabs flowers from her beds, this person likely showed extreme violence towards NG in just removing her from the home. IMO
I'm sure there are many crevices and caves in the nearby mountains where they could hide a body.I would go with hidden over buried. I'm sure that ground is so so hard, and apparently there has been no evidence of disturbed earth.
I disagree. The sheriff did say he probably should have handled some things differently and he at least responded to the question when he was asked. There’s much more going on than we know and it needs to stay that way to protect the investigation. It seems when it goes quiet, they’re onto something and getting things sorted out, then bam!I know we are not privy to all information but this case really feels like the people in charge have no idea what has gone on here and they are clutching at straws. I think the case has been botched from the start.
I feel it has become a circus and sometimes it’s easy to forget at the centre of this is a family who are missing their 84 year old mother.
I guess that's why they were checking septic and water tanks. So where could she be hidden? Isn't it more likely to be relatively far away? (10-30 miles)I would go with hidden over buried. I'm sure that ground is so so hard, and apparently there has been no evidence of disturbed earth.
It makes me so sad to see those 2 photos juxtaposed. That poor sweet woman. Keep praying.
Hi everyone!Do we know when the backpack was first released?
If it was only recently that would possibly rule out second-hand.
It’s also possible it was gifted to the perp.
Its possible the droplets were looked at up close, measured under magnification. See what happens when a drop of paint drops from your fingertips to the floor on your garage floor. Now, maybe if it rolled down your leg and went off your heal it would look different. The way it slides down straight off your chin or fingertips might look different when it dried from if it rolled off your ankle. Just a guess.Apologies if this has been answered here, but regarding the news that the blood on the porch likely indicates that she was bleeding from "either her hands or face". I'm no expert but I listened to one say that the there's a lot of NGs blood. In fact, last night a doctor posted and said they work with elderly patients and this is not the blood of such a cut. Too muchThank you @MassGuy.
Unless LE can pinpoint that NG hand or face blood is from early AM 2/1, then as I've suggested ^, I wonder if that was blood from an everyday bleed for an 84 year old likely on an anti-coagulent (my suspicion per recent pics).
She could have a bleed that started when she got out of a carental in her driveway - caught her hand on something... or maybe her return from her mailbox where she bumped her had.
Then in this scenario, when she stopped at the door to get in (get keys?), she would have dropped a concentration of blood, likely from her hand. IMO.
Thanks for this article. It's not terribly precise, but I get the gist that the droplets originated from the mouth or nose and maybe transferred onto the hand.
