I really don’t understand why typical procedures haven’t been followed here. Normally LE investigates the family first, gets them eliminated, then expands the circle. Is he star struck? (No offense) Is he just blindly believing their stories without corroborating? Just because of who they are? This would be a mistake.

We’re on day 12 now. The old rule is they need to find someone within 48hrs or the chances of finding them alive drop substantially.

This going back time & time again to search these homes just feels like incompetence to me. Why not seize the properties for 24-36hrs, get everyone out, search & run every test they need to run? Then release them back to the family.

This allowing people to tromp all over these homes, live in them, etc., while they repeat searches after the crime scene is contaminated seems somewhat useless.

I’m not saying the family has done anything. But they should have ELIMINATED all of that doubt right out of the gate.

Now it seems we have a war of egos going on. What a mess.

Under any circumstances, LE MUST check that guy out. He may or may not have anything to do with the "Keystone Kidnapper" on NG's front porch.

But even if he is ultimately determined to be completely unrelated to the goings-on at NG's the night of Jan 31/February 1, if LE does not investigate him and eliminate him based on good evidence, a defense attorney in a court of law would have a heyday pointing out this video of a suspicious person in the neighborhood that night.
Yes if a man like that is seen at my door in the middle of the night, I would want him found, arrested, interrogated and whatever. No way is he not guilty of something!

I feel like I'm on shaky ground with this type of subject so I'm trying to find the best way to convey. I'm going to use this article that first appeared in the Arizona Republic to try to illustrate. I get the impression there are many people on Twitter/X who are aware of NG's views on certain subjects and there is a level of ire regarding this. I hope this makes sense and at the same time doesn't violate any rules in place for this thread.

Well damn, if that's all she did I need to get a state of the art security system and some bodyguards. IMO

I hate we have to go around this topic, because I find it very relevant to what happened to Nancy . But yes , the article is spot on.

Regarding searches from Malwaki and then Somalia, is it possible NG was contributing to charitable organizations there?

Maybe some people were wondering who was the lady who kindly contributed to these organizations.

Just a thought.

Yeah the gray truck was mentioned this morning when talking with neighbors. So many dead ends though, I’m not getting my hopes up that this will lead to anything, unfortunately. Really not reassuring seeing that the Sheriff and Feds are fighting 🙄
Thanks! I didn’t realize it was mentioned much earlier! Hard to catch up at the end of a day.

Line BBM:

Former FBI agent talking about how that Florida lab wouldn't have access to CODIS, which will cause a delay once that DNA is processed.

*blink* And in this digital day and age, just how long is it realistically going to take for the FL lab to transmit the results back to the sheriff's office to upload into CODIS? I can't see it being so long as to be detrimental, at this point.
Apparently there's a review process, which can take between 12-24 hours (I'd assume lower end for this).

By doing it this way and factoring in all the steps and the time it would take Quantico vs private lab, it looks like you're talking about the FBI route (testing/codis) being twice as fast.

But you're right, at the end of the day it probably doesn't matter much.

And if they weren't motivated by money, well... the, n that's even more concerning.
I agree. If the ransom was a red herring, than what was their motive? What made Nancy such a desirable target they're willing to risk life in prison? Who could've an 84 year-old pissed off that badly she'd be the victim of a revenge murder? Or does someone in the family have enemies that they're not disclosing to police?

Have you seen that video from Ring Neighbors?

That man looks similar to the POI in the videos released by LE imo.

Spotted by a neighbor's camera in Tucson on 01/23/26:
"This guy appeared in front yard about 3:30 am and then returned about 5:00 am. My dogs went crazy barking and thankfully spooked him away. I didn’t answer the door. Anyone else see him in area of 6th between Campbell and Tucson blvd?"

Question is, did Savannah make a plea just for her family or for the nation/world?

“I'm coming on just to ask you, not just for your prayers, but no matter where you are, even if you're far from Tucson,” Guthrie says. “If you see anything, you hear anything, if there's anything at all that seems strange to you, that you report to law enforcement. We are at an hour of desperation. And we need your help.”

Any thoughts on the electrical/mechanical permit?

Professional means "experienced," but I don't see that here. If you've done your homework, you have a plan for that camera immediately. This guy didn't.

Not getting caught doesn't mean you committed a clean crime. A stranger in a mask doesn't have to be perfect to get away for a while, and even the sloppiest offender can do the same.

All the houses are like that, and many face at an angle to the road. Precisely why we don't have a vehicle identification.

But this guy isn't just a stranger in a mask abducting an old lady from her home. He is a stranger in a mask who evidently sent untraceable emails to various media outlets demanding a substantial ransom be paid to a cryptocurrency account. A stranger in a mask who has not only avoided capture and arrest due to an obvious lack of identifying physical evidence at the scene, but also a stranger in a mask who has avoided capture and arrest due an obvious lack of identifying digital evidence online, which is pretty remarkable by today's investigatory standards.

At 12-13 days in, I'd say he has thus far committed a 'hot shower with pumice loofah' crime. But perfectly clean? That remains to be seen. Unfortunately I kind of like his odds without an obvious and identifying mistake so far.

JMO.

@MassGuy
Thank you!

He did not, clearly. I was thinking about someone who's done 50 B&Es and never caught (experienced), but then is caught. Is he a professional, I don't know. Maybe he got lucky, maybe technology advanced him. (I lean towards tech :) )

Not getting caught doesn't mean you committed a clean crime.
Oh heck no!! I get that completely!

All the houses are like that, and many face at an angle to the road. Precisely why we don't have a vehicle identification.
This right here, thank you! In my neighborhood, if someone disabled my camera or masked up or whatever, I have about 5 or more other neighbors that would have caught a different angle. Because I live on a very straight road, very short driveways to the road. I have no idea what subscriptions or whatever my neighbors have or where their cameras are pointed, but I'm fairly confident that "something" would be caught on "someone's" camera!

I’m not asking to handle the DNA. I’m saying that government agencies can upload the DNA into the genealogy sites , and those of us genealogy detective volunteers can make family trees for the matches at distant cousin levels and narrow it down through cM’s and % of DNA and other matches. It’s tedious but doable with volunteers from all over the world. The unknown DNA that needs to be figured out can even be given the name Jane Doe etc.
Same issue. They need tight control, and that’s lacking with volunteers.

I would imagine the Malawi and Somalia searches are the result of the searcher using a VPN.

I'm never going to abandon hope for Nancy, but at just about two weeks now, I'm extremely concerned. It just does not make any logical sense to me why a kidnapper if they were motivated by money would be so blasé about communicating or getting a ransom. There's no sense of urgency from the kidnapper(s) at all. And that isn't good. Kidnappers who are motivated by money want to get the whole ordeal over with as quickly as possible. They don't want to have to look after a captive and they want money. Whoever is involved with this has shown no urgency to bring this to a resolution.

And if they weren't motivated by money, well... then that's even more concerning.
Agreed. At first I thought the kidnapping for ransom could’ve been legitimate, but now? No. There’s no urgency and no resolution.

It may truly just have been a sick predator that targeted Nancy to assault and murder her, and someone else capitalized on it by sending false ransom demands (as has been suggested many times here.)

Him taking her away from her home would seem strange, but it happens. Springfield Three comes to mind. Maybe he thought it’d be easier to get away with if he could dispose of her elsewhere.

You're not wrong! Build is so similar imo, stooping movement and what little of face you see looks very like an artist's impression drawn of the POI

Has LE been tipped on this do you know ?
