....

There is a special place in hell for those who hurt the most vulnerable among us.

MOO
Exactly. If you make it to 84, you should be able to live out the rest of your days in peace surrounded by loved ones. I had the same exact feeling about Rob Reiner and his wife. Made it to the late 70s and then - well, brought to an untimely end.

Goodnight all! I can't stay up any longer. I'll presume that LE will have to step forward with a statement in the morning. It will either be...."back off everyone!" or, "we are focused on specific leads and can't comment at this time".

I hate what NG's children must be going through right now as we 'presume' that a family member is involved in her disappearance. I hope they find clarity very soon!

Speculation here too, but I just cannot conceive that if Savannah and Camron knew for a fact that AG and /or her husband were responsible for this, that they would all sit together making a public response video to somebody “out there.”

Why would they not instead be dealing with AG/TC in private and with the FBI and sheriff’s office?

Why go through with what at that point would be a useless gimmick?

IMO
I seriously doubt that Savannah thinks her sister or BIL have anything to do with it. Heck even if the police came out and said family names as suspects Savannah and her brother may still not believe the police.

I'm thinking of the Morphew case where Barry Morphew is accused of killing his wife Suzanne. And their daughters came out publicly and defended their dad and said he could never do it. (I haven't followed that case recently so maybe they changed their minds idk).

But the authorities are treating it as legit. Either that or LE is letting NG's kids believe that it's legit so that they have time to gather needed evidence. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm starting to have some suspicions...
I believe ultimately the decision on how to treat ransom requests is up to the family, per the FBI. They offer guidance obviously but I think if a family decides they want to move ahead, the FBI won't stop them. They are there to try to minimize damage if they disagree with the approach from what I understand.

I am watching the live stream, sorry I can't link... 3 vehicles were actually there. 1 just left. He had a deputy patch on his sleeve. Yes, the livestreamer was THAT close as he drove out.

As we endlessly speculate about what the latest tidbit of information may mean, or tediously parse each word of a statement (myself included), perhaps we should pause and take a moment to reflect on the bigger picture: That a sweet, kind woman has likely lost her life and her family is being tortured and being made to grieve and suffer (all in the very public spotlight).
And that "there before the grace of God go anyone of us".
I can say for myself that NG has been on my mind the entire time. I can feel complete sadness, sympathy and compassion for her and her family, while still asking questions. I want her brought home….one way or another.

If this is what it looks like, SG's life is ruined. I don't know how she could ever recover from the horror and betrayal. I'm so sorry.

Maybe they did not have probable cause for the warrant yesterday but they do today.
Makes sense.
Has the press noted any type of LE (even unmarked vehicles) at or around AG’s house day and night last few days? I’m now thinking it’s unlikely the house has been left completely unmonitored by LE in some way, even if the owners aren’t suspected it would seem to be standard safety protocol to keep someone around to monitor such a visible landmark in the case. Although.. they DID leave NG’s house largely unattended after just a day or two (before returning and re-making it a crime scene)… so who knows.

Do any blood spatter experts know if you’d be able to stage the blood? How? Syringe?
Ill bet a biology teacher might have a lot of cool tools at their disposal.

@tricia and mods, I just wanted to say what a fabulous job you are all doing to keep everything flowing as smoothly as possible in this thread.

I know we don't always see the cleanup of posts you have to do, but I sense it hasn't been as much as what it could have been which is great. And it hasn't had to be closed down as often as other threads.

What I've liked in this thread is that its been a bit more relaxed, I think the allowance for self-regulation has taken some of the pressure off posting - apart from a few of us from time to time drifting from the purpose of this thread, you've allowed us some general chat, some theories that would normally be shut down, links/sources of information that would normally be highly scrutinised/not allowed and I would say this would be one of the most community-focused threads on here in a long time.

My most memorable case on here was Allison Baden-Clay and Nancy's thread here has made me feel the same connection to other WSers, something that has been a little challenging in recent times when, IMO, it has felt a bit overgoverned in the moderation of comments (not a negative, just the ebb and flow of how you manage the site and keep us all legal lol).

People seem to have felt comfortable sharing, apart from a few random comments that were likely just a little tense from all the emotion in this case, and generally everyone has been free to just talk about how they are feeling about what has unfolded, and explore even the most out there possibilities.

And something that really stands out is the sharing of emotion, raw emotion. This is a hard case to follow, a beautiful caring older woman Nancy is and it hits hard when many of us have or have had beautiful caring older women in our lives. It's not a reality any of us would want to live through or see happen in our families.

I hope this is the way forward for WS - it doesn't feel like Facebook chatter, but its a little less overmanaged than some threads have been in the recent past

Its felt warm, not too sterile

THANK YOU!!

I would like to know how the family celebrated NG's birthday on 27th Jan. Was it a regular thing for her to Uber over to AG/TC's place for a family games night? Some idea of the dynamics would help, but I guess we won't know these yet.

I may be too naive, but it seems unfathomable to me that family would go to such lengths to conceal something? It would involve more than one person if anything occurred at AG/TC's house, and I cannot begin to imagine AG being on these video appeals whilst knowing what has gone on. It is truly an unbearable thought.

Why would the family be offering to pay, if the ransom notes are fake and the police are actually suspecting TC?
Bbm but re her birthday I was thinking celebrate could be a reference to a family member’s birthday etc. They seemed more passive in the video imo. My interpretation was they recognized and showed respect for the power the sender/s have.
It’s almost impossible to interpret without more context unfortunately so just me throwing something out there.

So 2nd vehicle is leaving.

They didn't seem to take much if anything from the house.

Strange?

3rd and last one is leaving.

I still think the ransom was afterthought and ruse to pull suspicion away from the true suspect. I'll be curious to hear about any life insurance taken out on Nancy. The only places we have seen large police/fbi presence/searches are Nancy's and Annie's and those are only vehicles seized. I think that says a lot even if police don't say

I’m sure by the time I finish this thought, there will be about 30 more messages posted here, but for now I’m caught up. The one thing that’s bothering me (and I agree with the majority at this point the direction this is heading in terms of potential perp) is the amount of coordination this would have take to have so many things staged at NG’s home. Yes the blood drops could’ve been from some other unrelated earlier injury, or maybe even put there by the suspect to stage that she made it home. But then, add in the clues of the time of the garage door opening/closing, camera(s) disconnect and motion detection timing, watch/pacemaker sync ending time, etc… it just seems like a LOT to coordinate in a relatively short amount of time.
Although… add in a possibility of an additional non-relative being involved as accomplice and I suppose it could add up. Just doesn’t feel like it would’ve taken THIS long for LE to put these pieces together.
This is a good point. This seems like quite a bit to do in a short period of time, perhaps we are looking at premeditated murder. The plan was thought out ahead of time.

Though it is possible for two smart people to pull it off without pre-planning. Someone smart and a take charge kind of person, who can think on their feet.

In all fairness to LE, once the ransom notes started coming in, they felt obligated to put resources into finding NG who may have still been alive?

If SIL/AG were involved, I’m struggling to make sense of the timeline (even assuming the ransom demands are unrelated).

The first scenario, that NG never left their home after dinner, seems difficult to match with the pacemaker connectivity data. How would her pacemaker connect to her Apple Watch until around 2am? The Apple Watch was found at NG’s home and I would imagine one of the first things LE did was run digital forensics to see where the watch was and when, so both NG and the watch would’ve had to return back to NG’s house.

The second scenario, that NG was indeed taken from her home at the time her pacemaker lost connection with the Apple Watch at around 2am is also confusing, albeit much less so. If SIL/AG were responsible, why the blood? I could see staging the scene to make it look like there was forced entry, but as family, they would have likely been able to remove her from home and get her into a car without resorting to violence (for example, “so-and-so is sick and at the hospital and we need to go now”).

MOO.
If what we are all starting to think, if they are involved then most of the timeline is moot

What if NG’s Subaru was not in the garage when she left for AG’s and SIL house? Maybe the Subaru was already at AG’s house (mechanical issue or used as a loaner)? This would explain the Uber drive over to their house with the thought being, NG driving it home at the end of evening? Instead, someone else drove the Subaru home with NG in it, either alive or unconscious? Once the garage door shut at 9:50 the plan could unfold. Several hours later a “white van” shows up to remove both NG and whoever drove the Subaru home? All speculation on my part!

If you knew the passcode, how would an Apple watch know that it was her and not someone else whose wrist it was on?

Just like a phone, if you know the passcode and are not using either a fingerprint login or a facial recognition login, how would you know who was using it?
Not everyone uses a passcode on their iWatch or phone.
