@tricia and mods, I just wanted to say what a fabulous job you are all doing to keep everything flowing as smoothly as possible in this thread.
I know we don't always see the cleanup of posts you have to do, but I sense it hasn't been as much as what it could have been which is great. And it hasn't had to be closed down as often as other threads.
What I've liked in this thread is that its been a bit more relaxed, I think the allowance for self-regulation has taken some of the pressure off posting - apart from a few of us from time to time drifting from the purpose of this thread, you've allowed us some general chat, some theories that would normally be shut down, links/sources of information that would normally be highly scrutinised/not allowed and I would say this would be one of the most community-focused threads on here in a long time.
My most memorable case on here was Allison Baden-Clay and Nancy's thread here has made me feel the same connection to other WSers, something that has been a little challenging in recent times when, IMO, it has felt a bit overgoverned in the moderation of comments (not a negative, just the ebb and flow of how you manage the site and keep us all legal lol).
People seem to have felt comfortable sharing, apart from a few random comments that were likely just a little tense from all the emotion in this case, and generally everyone has been free to just talk about how they are feeling about what has unfolded, and explore even the most out there possibilities.
And something that really stands out is the sharing of emotion, raw emotion. This is a hard case to follow, a beautiful caring older woman Nancy is and it hits hard when many of us have or have had beautiful caring older women in our lives. It's not a reality any of us would want to live through or see happen in our families.
I hope this is the way forward for WS - it doesn't feel like Facebook chatter, but its a little less overmanaged than some threads have been in the recent past
Its felt warm, not too sterile
THANK YOU!!
