I don't know if it's true or not, but I've read that their homes were only ten minutes apart. I would think that if the card game were planned in advance, AG would have picked NG up. No matter how wealthy you are, Ubers are still expensive. I feel there may have been some tension between NG and either AG or SIL and NG might have taken the Uber to confront the other person. A lot of older people have difficulty seeing to drive at night. Perhaps the tension escalated from there?

You'd have to go back to the beginning of the thread and read from there. It was surmised that NG may have came from elsewhere (not her home) then to AG's by Uber for dinner and game. Like maybe she was with other friends elsewhere first. But who knows. The main discussion about the Uber ride prob happened in this thread on Monday or Tuesday. It's also possible her vehicle was already at AG's because it had been previously borrowed. It's also possible AG drove her home in it, then rode back with TC. Or also possible that NG drove herself home. We don't know. It's been stated that many would not want their 84 year old mother Ubering alone. And yes, it's been also stated that many would. It's a week into this, understandable some readers are just coming in, but most all of the info, opinions and timeline is accessible.

My guess... because it was reported on yesterday, widely.

The one went to TMZ around the time of the press conference on Tuesday where it was stated that they didn't have any letters/demands.

Well if that’s true then I can see why she’d go through the garage, no stairs, more room.

I had the same thought...garage would be easier for her, would provide a more even/safer surface for her to walk on than the front entry, she would not have to get out her keys to unlock the front door, etc.

One thing I do wonder is whether or not the garage door had an automatic light inside that came on when the garage door was opened and if so, whether or not that light was working when LE examined the crime scene.

My husband, who isn't really following the case, has broached the subject that perhaps her captor/s were in the house waiting for her before she got back home.

Imagine this. What if one time, SG could not visit in person, and sent someone, own helper, to organize things for mom? Renovation of the house, money, help with the Internet. It happens with loving but busy kids with large families.

Now assuming that "the person" now has the information about NG's life and can organize bitcoins out of the country and what not. Specifically because they are off the radar.

If they are lucky, they may be looking for a free anchorperson's job. On the other hand, if SG perseveres and stays she may be enjoying more support of her audience.

I think that probably, AG and her circle has been studied. And also, local LEO in Tucson know Tucson.

But is it too much to look at at someone secretly hating or being envious of SG or even her brother CG, obviously, an achiever in his area, who is close to them?

I mean, there is a particular news anchor who got shafted in 2012 by ML and SG took over from her, but that would be in the realm of fantasy to think she had anything to do with this

I’ve included this pic to show NG’s front door. IMO it’s much more work for her to negotiate those steps leading up to her door, especially considering she is sad to walk with a cane. So, going through the garage makes sense, to me.

Shows you how the difference in photos can dramatically alter your perspective.

The garage door is oriented 90 from the angle of the front door. I also do not seen a direct flat route from the garage door to the front door. So, she would have to go up or down those stairs (with the noted handrail) to get from the front door to the garage, or visa versa from the gravel driveway.

I get the impression she would not have used the front door, if at all, and only people approaching the house from the street would be using it. If the front door was "open" when the family arrived to check on her on Sunday, then the kidnapper likely used this as the exit, not the garage.

Makes the issue of surveillance from the street important.

Of course I see now how she would enter and exit the home through the garage

The thought that NG was murdered to get to the funds in her estate seems poorly thought out, especially if there is this complicated ruse to make this look like a kidnap for ransom. Having recently been through the death of my mother and the settlement of her estate, it takes YEARS to get the full funds disbursement, even with very the very good planning my late mother had done.

Assuming the home is NG's primary asset, selling it can be quite a long process, and usually a good realtor will recommend upgrades to bring the property up to date, improve it's appearance, and make it competitive in a market. People who are buying $1 million + homes do expect contemporary styling, appliances, and features and you can really lose out by just trying for a quick sale. I suppose it also depends on who really ends up with control of the estate, and my guess would be that SG would have more authority in terms of organizing the settlement of the full estate, and the three apparent heirs.

In otherwords, murdering NG to get a lot of money is not a quick and easy way to get money.

My dad's estate took just a few months to settle, including real estate, because he had a trust. If NG has sizable assets, she would likely have it all in trust as well. Maybe the timing has a lot to do with the state the deceased lived in? Sorry for your loss - it's just so hard.

Yes, seeing the actual photo of the smashed flood light is alarming. It was hit so hard with an object the brick is even damaged. When there were initial reports of a broken flood light, I was picturing just a non-working light or maybe a broken light lens or cover. Not completely smashed in like that. Clearly intentional and not an accident.

Surely she had someone that came in and cleaned. Baseboards are very very difficult to clean when you're not agile....so are blinds, carpets and floors.
