My thoughts on opening the garage door... if someone is dropping me off at home, I would walk in through my front door. If I'm not parking a vehicle in the garage its not likely I'm opening that door. Do people really do this? Maybe it just makes more sense with the layout of her house. Was it opened because someone knew there would be a record of it being opened?

MOO
If the garage is a 2 car but NG just has 1 car parked to where a second car could pull in beside her car for her to exit the car and place her closer to her interior door on a smooth concrete floor with adequate lighting...makes sense to me

My problem with AG is that she does not fit the profile. I know nothing about TC, but AG is understood to be involved in the local poetry, writing, and jewellery scene? We really think this is the profile of someone involved in kidnap, murder, and bitcoin ransom?
I don't; I see a woman that is lost.

AG's the oldest sibling, living in AZ and in constant contact with mom ~ a normal family life ~ and mom disappears. No one can make any sense of it, how could they?

She's leaning on her younger siblings for strength and reassurance; and in the ‘x’ videos she is in emotional pain.

no clearly she does not fit the profile but maybe her husband or associates do?

I’ll be blunt this morning. In my opinion, NG demise originated from AG’s home. The what and the how, I don’t know. Investigators returning to her home again last night documenting, mapping, and collecting evidence was the final event that moved me in that direction. IMO

If this is the case, and it heartbreakingly might be, there are still things that I don't understand.

For instance, like her blood by her front door.

I suppose that it could be that it was left while she was being transferred while she was wrapped in something but why would they take her back to her house if she died at AG's house?

And why would they be transferring her through her front door instead of the garage which is more easily accessible and more discreet?

Why did the FBI let Sheriff Nanos make insinuations to the public like suggesting it could be the family waving her off when the garage door opened and shut just before 10 p.m. Saturday evening?

Also why would the FBI even bother with digital billboards in different states?

Why haven't they found the writer of those two notes?

Regarding the blood and doorbell…for those more knowledgeable about this-is there a reason why there were not evidence markers used or marking the spots? And why there did not appear to be fingerprint dust around the doorbell at NGs home?

Not sure the validity of this but I've heard it mentioned that if they are investigating a kidnapping - FBI is the lead. If they are investigating a homicide - Police/Sheriff's Dept. is the lead.

In actuality - The local law inforcement is leading the investigation with the FBI offering any resources and assistance local LE needs.
That is a good point. I remember in the Jonbenet case the police supposedly contacted the fbi when they thought it was a kidnapping but when they realized later in the day it was a murder the FBI didn't have any involvement.

snipped

He's trained military. I think he has experience keeping emotions in check. He was a fighter pilot over NYC after 9/11, for example. I'd like to hear his story after this resolves, but I'm thinking we never will.

Only my opinion from life experience, ......

Completely agreeing w/ you again IntheDetails,
Well put.

And from afar, (since I do not know this man at all)
I can safely say that I have a lot of respect for the brother.

As a previous poster said it much better than me, (paraphrasing)

He immediately traveled from Vermont to help his family out.
One would wonder how Camron is able to NOT show his barely concealed fury at this point.
But here we are. And here he is.

He is making a very powerful statement.

If AG and TC are involved I think the bitcoin kidnap ransom thing is seperate from them. A fake story and hoax by an anonymous hacker person who took advantage of the situation when it hit the media. Two seperate crimes.
I wonder if that means the arrest of SIL / AG is rather imminent. Given SG has committed to pay the ransom, LE need to swoop in quickly to stop that happening. If the deadline is tomorrow, perhaps the arrest will be today / tomorrow.

I got to thinking as I watch the video of the three siblings and what must be going on. I don't know how much is shared with family by LE on working theories? Could LE be telling SG about theory of TC involvement but keeping it quiet as they close in on him or his associates? Just because they sit there holding hands making these videos does not mean something is not going on the rest of the time. I doubt. they are. all staying together at this point. AG home is. being treated as a crime scene. Read into that what you will. I sure hope family not involved but now thinking they might have been.
I just don't see why they'd be making these videos if LE has told them TC is a suspect. I think it is possible they've told them but SG is in total denial.

She is an ultra net worth individual, therefore she gets special services from her banks. She can take a loan against her other assets. Banks will work around the clock for her. They could have this money liquid in 20 minutes. This part (getting cash to convert to bitcoin) is probably the easiest part of the whole thing for her. It's not like a middle class person who would have to wait for the bank to open, put up collateral and spend days filling out paperwork for a loan. Her business manager or wealth manager can do this in an instant.
Right you are. I can't find a good source link to post here, but one of the very first news reports I heard about this case, SG's annual salary was mentioned. I've found articles that corroborate the amount I remember hearing (but it's only the Hindu Times and orgs like that, so I won't link), but let's just say that she makes more in one year than the kidnappers are asking for in randsom. So, yeah. Getting this money ASAP is easy.

The family’s failure to find blood at the front door a week ago speaks (somewhat) to their innocence and the guilt of a person less familiar with the family My assumption is the front door is never used by Nancy, so the family had no reason to dream that she had exited by the front door. That said, a stranger locking the front door(s) behind himself seems unlikely as well. Hard to figure out this one. So little makes sense.

I find that would be cruel and unusual punishment to do this to the siblings.

But wait - IF and I mean a big IF... AG and hubby are involved or even one of them, there's no way they could hide or explain that ransom money even if they got it! What in the world would or could they do with it? They definitely couldn't spend it!

To invest overseas or find a broker to 'bury the money' would be tough.

So if they are involved it would be an after thought to spin a kidnapping/ransom plot to divert suspicion.

I'm not sure it's them, but maybe someone close to them? Argh I go all over the place here!
I have thought from the beginning that the ransom demands are a separate crime being perpetrated by some opportunistic scumbags who saw a potentially "easy" money grab. The timing of that initial ransom demand just hasn't made sense from jump.

Doubt they’d arrest just to stop payment. Not without sufficient evidence. Maybe a conversation to SG to hold off on paying any money while another lead is being pursued. Then again..how much evidence did they collect last night, if any?

I think Cameron is the oldest, then Annie, then Savannah

  • #11,736
If Annie and her husband did have something to do with it, she may not have even made it back to her house, it would be easier to keep her at theirs and plant her belongings back at her house (possibly the blood was from an earlier minor injury or they could have also planted the blood to look like an abduction).

So firstly, imo POL has never been provided. I don't think the siblings have been made aware yet of the official direction the main investigation may be going... the appeal was to the kidnapper(s), whomever that may be.

It is possible, with all their digital forensics etc that FBI have just not been able to ascertain yet (definitively) whether ransom demands have come from actual abductor (or accomplice) in which case they have to support the family in going ahead with responses to the ransom notes. The siblings desperately want their mom returned, even if that means deceased and agreed to pay.

Return of Ms Guthrie is unlikely to happen, even if this is a genuine kidnap for ransom situation. Anyone that heartless to have undertaken such a heinous crime are unlikely to risk being captured by upholding their end of the bargain once they have the coin.
BBM. Agree. In the scenario I am speculating on, they would have to (and pardon the unpleasant thought here) unearth her. Even if they only supplied the location of her remains, that still in itself creates risk, due to any forensic evidence they may be able to obtain from the remains. Too risky. And quadruple that risk factor if they returned her alive. (Which I think is a very slim chance of happening).

Whatever maneuver this Perp was attempting failed.

Amateur opinion and speculation

Holy crap!! Is it possible that a body part was mailed to AG house????
Horrifying idea. Possible, yes. If it happened and a family member was involved, I can't find the words to describe how beyond awful this would be and what it says about that family member.

Yes, I thought that too. However, SG is also a lawyer by training right? She might be led by emotions right now, but she will also have high levels of discernment and critical thinking.

Exactly - almost a form of torture and highly unethical. I just don't think LE would go that far.
