I agree. If there was a church call or possible “unknown and unverifiable”church caller it was only to get the ball rolling. IMO
How would a random kidnapper know she attended the online services?

What we could be seeing is the result checks LE is doing as they brainstorm ways it could have been the family. We should get a picture of the condition of this, or the position of that. They already know if the phones left the home that night, if the phones were turned on or off, if their car had blood in it, If their clothes had blood on them etc... If any of that had come back positive- arrested...

This call would be found on the phones and I wonder if the results came in on those yet. I think for sure, something sent LE to that home last night with their equipment. Not just for heck of it. IMO

The comment he makes at the end about his children not being the same class as NG's children was ... a little odd I must admit.
I’m just catching up on posts, so this may already have been addressed. His comment about different classes is not odd at all. For example, when one of my sons was a senior in high school, they may know of someone who was in the junior class, but not have personally known him or her. This is what he means.

Weird.
Can you set up a bitcoin wallet at this atm?
I am wondering if there is a certain skill set needed for the bit coin and multiple IP addresses. Example of cartel or blue collar type individual/s.

You are a little bit behind on the news ;) Major searches in their house last night
Also, yes, a car was towed away. So that happened late last night.

They would not I'd assume. So it is that a real churchgoer friend called her daughter's house to ask if ok, or it is a ruse from the daughter's house to 'get the ball rolling'. I lean towards that NOW, but def cannot be for sure as no one can till the calls are confirmed as legit or no call from any friends at 'that time' that they interview. IMO

My app is on my phone. Before that I had a home monitor/receiver in the bedroom. Neither gives me real-time information as far as data or connection status outside of the set interrogation time. If I'm out of range at query time I do get a connection failure notice then.

My experience only.

A reporter on Fox, John Roberts, this past week that has his own pacemaker, was talking about his this past week, saying he can only go 50-100feet or it would lose communication with the app. Just like any other bluetooth device.

My father in law had a pacemaker, but they would just download the info at appointments, oh my I can't even imagine having to teach him the "app" haha I didn't even know it was an option! Thanks for the info Fargo!

What do you think about what he says?

Not necessarily. The FBI does not automatically lead evidence searches, even in serious or high profile cases. Local sheriff or police departments usually handle search warrants and evidence collection within their own jurisdiction, and they have trained forensic technicians who routinely process scenes, photograph evidence, and collect samples. The FBI typically becomes more visibly involved if a confirmed federal crime is established, the case crosses state lines, or local agencies request federal assistance. Even when the FBI is involved, they often work alongside local investigators rather than taking over publicly, and their involvement is not always disclosed. So seeing only sheriff personnel at a search does not mean the search is less significant or that federal authorities are not assisting behind the scenes.

I haven’t been following since last night so I apologize if this was discussed, but does anyone think there is a specific reason for the $6 million? Why not 5 or 7?

It should also be reiterated that a murder/dump falls under the sheriff's/state jurisdiction, while a kidnapping and email ransom falls under FBI/federal jurisdiction. The sheriff's office, once the hub of media relations, paused daily press conferences a few days back, and this is despite the investigation clearly intensifying and public interest in it having multiplied exponentially. The FBI typically does not comment on their active investigations. This suggests a literal change in jurisdiction and oversight, and an implied change in what law enforcement agencies feel occurred that night and subsequently.

Indeed, the Guthries have been pleading with purported kidnappers to return their Mom, and acknowledging contact and their willingness to pay. The Sheriff was spotted at a basketball game last night. To be sure, there is nothing wrong with the Sheriff enjoying his life and any favorite past times, but this fact, along with the shift in media relations a few days ago at his department, does suggest that his office is no longer the key agency overseeing this case.

And if that is true, and the Guthries are clearly and publicly focused on a kidnapping and interacting with a purported kidnapper in order to negotiate the return of NG, then it suggests that this is what it seems to be - a kidnapping for ransom led by an always tight-lipped FBI.

JMO.

What do you think about what he says?

Personally I wouldn’t know if he’s correct or not, but it’s interesting! I think it’s possible, as some of the comments say, that they didn’t do a Luminal search, but looked for something else. I also think it’s possible that Sheriff was creating a distraction to something the FBI was doing. Look here, not there.

They wouldn't. So would indicate not a random kidnapping, IMO

It's just inexplicable, if it was SIL I'm surprised it would take this long to build a case and nail him down? Even if he had an accomplice, surely there would be some record of who it was or what they did. Federal, state and local are all working on this, how could he outsmart them all for this long? Who knows though... again, just somehow hoping AG wasn't involved if SIL did do it...
