Does anyone remember early on when the ransom note was reported on, that it was mentioned somewhere about the Thursday/Monday deadlines. But then in the last 24 hours people were responding like it was new information. I could have sworn I'd already heard that somewhere earlier. From what I recall, it was ransom to be sent by Thursday and to be received in their account by Monday. When I heard that I thought well maybe they are allowing time for the transfer - so pay by Thursday and it better be in my account by Monday.

Maybe I'm wrong, there's been so much swirling around
Details of the ransom were recently leaked by a Tuscon station that includes the details asking for $6M by Monday 5pm or NG will be killed, per the KGUN9. It is still not clear if this is from the second email ransom note or the original.

“Multiple ransom notes have been sent out to the media, including one that was sent to us,” JJ McKinney from Tucson ABC affiliate KGUN9 reported.

True - we do not know for sure what caused the disconnect. The assumption early on was that it lost connection when the watch was left inside the house and she was taken from the home - that’s why they used that time 2:28am as the time they thought she was taken from the home. But with this case I’m not sure that is an accurate conclusion. All we know for sure is that’s what time the pacemaker disconnected from the watch.
thank you so much for walking me through this. My head was starting to spin and I was STUCK on that pacemaker/phone app/watch lol

Septic/well records that were pulled for Nancy's home. They have no record of a well and state they are connected to the City of Tucson water services. For septic it looks like they had a smaller septic tank that caused drain field failure back in 1991, so they then had 1,000 gallon septic tank installed. Here is the map portion of the approved permitting paperwork if anyone is curious.
From that map, it looks like NG's property has TWO septic systems - 1 for the guest house and another for the main house, and it also appears that the 1 for the guest house is the second that has been there, installed after another failed.

Yes, if considering the SIL, I've never thought it was premeditated.

I can imagine them discussing the finances (that could be comingled by that time) and I can imagine if the push was too huge, Nancy grabbing her cellphone to call Savannah or Camron, to talk to them about it, and her SIL grabbing it from her hand and her accidentally falling.

The rest, however, seems too planned.

And Savannah's considerable personal finances are well known and a potential motive.
And the SIL/BIL may have been having financial troubles, which can lead to arguments/emotionally charged situations.
And kidnappings for ransom revolve around money.
And murders often happen over money.

Well, if Savannah's finances were in any way the topic, it only illustrates how right SG was in keeping her in-law as far from her life as possible!

I imagine a different situation. Could a provincial and not too savvy BIL, knowing that his SIL rubbed shoulders with "the famous and the mighty", harbor the hope that SG could promote his music to the top of the charts? Something irrational. Just my idea.

I mentioned this earlier (and saw someone else mention it even before me), but the 6mil USD amount translates neatly into some other currencies, such as the Euro (5mil) and Peso (100mil). The person might not be international, but may be trying to look international. Who knows at this point. JMO.
I don't think stating usd behind a number is that strange tbh. Hypothetically, When i ask for 100 euro, i state "euro" because if i say can i have 100? I probably get a reply like "100 what, gummies?" Idk if it's same in US tho 😅

Maybe septic design varies depending on geomorphology and climate. The photos do not look like the systems in the Northeast that I am familiar with. Ours has a single square opening, less than a foot wide and the hump for the leaching field you describe. What they're probing in NG's yard has a manhole cover. Actually I see 2 manhole openings. While it doesn't look like septic systems here, I'm in a cold climate with granite ledge. It's probably different in a desert location with caliche.
Her home is on city water. Those covers appear to be entrance points to the main water distribution system. That system, or portion thereof, may be what was outlined on the map investigators were seen carrying into the sheriff's office Friday. If a cover was off and it was dark and someone was walking along and did not know it was there, they could easily fall in.

This is probably farfetched but I was thinking -- it's extremely dry where i am (Midwest) due to low temps and constant running of the furnace. My humidifier stopped working and about a month ago I got a nosebleed (sorry!) which has never happened before.

Until I could stanch it, there literally were big round blood drops all over the bathroom floor, an amazing amount. I wonder if NG could have experienced similar or somehow had a facial injury that caused dripping? It would explain the volume and the appearance of those blood droplets.

Because if the injury were elsewhere, it likely would soak into clothing and not cause round droplets on the bricks. (my elderly neighbor some years ago bashed the side of her head on her open car door and bled profusely, but it all soaked into her blouse and jacket. she didn't realize how badly it was bleeding and walked to and fro unloading groceries for some time until she looked down at her clothing.)

Has there been any description of her attire?
Not that I have seen.

Websites for newcomers to Arizona warn about the potential for nosebleeds because the air is very dry. So your theory makes sense.

Could have been a bruise from a blood draw or IV during surgery (I saw the picture, too, but can't remember the placement of the bandage).
It's the exact same place my vein is tapped for blood samples (top of forearm). My mom's hands bruise shockingly when she gets an IV, so you're def. onto it.

But according to the info @Fargo gave about pacemakers, we don't know exactly when she was removed from the house. The pacemaker is only "interrogated" once a day....at night. She may have been taken much earlier than 2:28am.

Could someone with a New York Times subscription please check for an article posted 3 hours ago: 7 Days No Suspects
The goggle snip says when someone from church didn't see her in the pews they called her family to check in.

Here's the link that has the church goer alerting the family. It says approx. 11 am someone who attends church with NG called to report that she never made it to services.

- ABC News Nancy Guthrie abduction: New timeline emerges in mysterious disappearance of Savannah Guthrie's mom

So Mrs Guthrie was attending in person if true or its a big fib by someone who wasn't aware she was watching services on line these days.

Maybe the sheriff feels that alert is not worthy of a place in his timeline or time offered was not accurate or couldn't be confirmed.

It may be where the time discrepancy of getting a call about NG and the time of arriving at her home and finding her gone.

11:00, when its time for it to begin ?, seems accurate time to note she hadnt arrived at church as expected and call the family to check on her.

Imo
Alternatively, NG may have arranged to go to church in person that Sunday?

There are also insurance policies that public/high risk people can get that do cover random demands, etc. I am not sure if those policies are written in such a way that coverage is the holder's own kidnapping OR where the policy holder is the one paying ransom.

Furthermore, SG is a public figure with a contractually guaranteed compensation amount. You can bet her bank can underwrite a $6mil loan based just off her expected compensation and assets she owns as collateral
They normally do not include a parent. And, most work as reimbursements after the ransom is paid. Kidnapping in MANY parts of the world is not as uncommon as many believe . Usually involves high end business types that are covered through employer. Ransom is paid and person is returned relatively unharmed. These are almost never advertised in any way.

Bringing the timeline again for all of our memories:

5:32 p.m.Guthrie takes an Uber to her daughter Annie's home for dinner.
9:48 p.m.Guthrie is dropped off by her son-in-law and Annie's husband, Tommaso Cioni.
9:50 p.m.Guthrie's garage door is closed at 9:50 p.m. Tommaso reportedly drives off at this time.
Saturday, January 31, 2026

1:47 a.m.A doorbell camera at Guthrie's home disconnects.
2:12 a.m.Software detects someone on one of the other cameras, but no video is available.
2:28 a.m.Guthrie's pacemaker app is disconnected from her phone.
~11 a.m.A churchgoer calls Guthrie's family to report that Guthrie never made it to church.
11:56 a.m.Relatives arrive at Guthrie's home and discover that she is missing.
12:03 p.m.Guthrie's family calls the police.
12:15 p.m.Police from the Pima County Sheriff's Department arrive.

More here:
Your PBS link doesn't say NG dropped off by SIL. It says family member.

Here's that snippet from the article:

"Ms. Guthrie, whom friends have described as a devoted Christian, was expected at church that Sunday morning. But when someone at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian did not see her in the pews, they called her family to check in.

Alerted, Ms. Guthrie’s family rushed to her home, the authorities said. They found her phone, wallet, hearing aid, daily medication and car. But they did not find her. They called 911."

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/08/us/nancy-guthrie-savannah-guthrie-family.html
IIRC, the only places reporting that she only attended church virtually were Daily Mail and The Sun. I’m not sure what to make of the church attendance story anymore lol. So much back and forth BUT it does seem that her absence, whether virtual or physical, would have been noticed. And you can see on the church website that you need an account to access the live stream and you can see participants, there’s a chat option, etc.

And it’s possible they’re trying to make it clear it’s 6 million USD, not six million BTC (bitcoin), ETH (ethereum), or any of the thousands of other cryptocurrencies. It could still be a domestic person, just operating in the crypto world.

(Yes, 6M BTC or ETH would be ridiculously huge amounts, but just to make the example).

I don't think stating usd behind a number is that strange tbh. Hypothetically, When i ask for 100 euro, i state "euro" because if i say can i have 100? I probably get a reply like "100 what, gummies?" Idk if it's same in US tho 😅
I personally don't think it's strange either (American here), especially with the vague details we've gotten about the IP being hard to track (supposedly). I do think the amount itself is interesting, but I'm not willing to speculate the significance of it besides possibilities of trying to give a certain impression with the number, if that makes sense.

But I think for a lot in the US it could come off as strange. Spur of the moment thought, it's interesting they specified the currency, but not timezone (allegedly, from what we've heard from press conferences/media). Why one and not the other?

I’ve never seen anyone in the US put “USD” behind a money amount. You’d say $6 million or 6 million dollars, not USD.

ETA: I shouldn’t say EVER seen anyone put that but it is pretty uncommon

You don't believe the pacemaker communicating with the iphone/watch is evidence she made it back home?

I suppose that situation could be manipulated but find that unlikely as it would most likely involve extra steps in the process.
Its not clear to me that she wouldn't have had the apple phone with her all evening. Does the timeliness indicate when it started communicating or only when it stopped?

Our vacation/lake house had a septic tank...that's too big an opening for septic. And the tanks are usually close to the house with the field drains going outward, downhill and away.
That tank with the larger diameter opening could be an OLDER tank. It appears it has concrete sides and that was true on older tanks, whereas newer ones are made of some kind of composite material.

The map that was provided a few posts back also and notations indicating that the septic system behind the guest house had at one time failed. It is likely that a new tank and possibly new drain field laterals were installed nearby the old one that was left in place in the ground.

The fact that we can see 2 of 24" round septic tank covers that have been removed that are not far from this larger diameter tank with cover suggests to me that this larger, older tank is the one that failed.

Pacemaker interrogation is different than the normal signals it transmits.
